# Q1: What is her religion?
- A) It is a religion that was once widespread, but was slowly lost to time. She believes in my continuity’s Ancient Walkers, Enerjak, but mostly importantly Aurora, beings that ascended into godhood by attaining a powerful connection to the Chaos Force.
# Q2: What do you mean by “platonic relationships” between Viola and her priestess sisters?
- A) One could argue that her sisters were busy women that did not have time to spend with her. Others could claim that they envied Viola’s status as a guardian. Regardless of what is true or not, their relationship with Viola wasn’t very meaningful to them.
# Q3: Regarding the incident when Viola healed a wounded boy’s ankle by singing a religious tune, is it inspired from the Ancient Greek accounts of Homer (Παῦε δ’ἐπαοιδῆ αἷμα…) and Asclepius (τοὺς μὲν μαλακαῖς ἐπαοιδαῖς ἀμφέπων…) who treated patients with the therapeutic capabilities of the musicality of the Greek language? Admit it, you’ve been reading Homer haven’t you?
- A) Hahahaha, that’s a nice thought, but I did not. Nothing’s original under the sun, so similarities in fiction are bound to occur.
# Q4: Does she have a crush on anyone or is she too shy to show her emotions?
- A) After everything they have been through, let’s just say that she did harbor passionate feelings for Dimitri.
# Q5: Can she cure her own illnesses?
- A) Yes. One could theorize that’s why she never suffers from back pain.
# Q6: Why did you decide to make her a cat and not another animal, like rabbit or echidna?
- A) Inuko Island, where she is from, is an island colonized by felines and canines, most predominantly cats and dogs. She was born in the Felis Kingdom, the cat side of the island so, accordingly, she should be some sort of feline.
# Q7: Is she Jesus?
- A) Jesus as a cat girl? Nah, that can’t be right. ...Or is it?
# Q8: You seem to be really into these Japanese stuff. Are there any other characters you’ve made like Viola that are inspired from manga or anime characters that you like?
- A) Yes. It is undeniable that anime inspired this series and characters. When I like something, I often ask myself “What is it about this that I like?” and try to brainstorm ways in which I can incorporate it in an innovative manner within my content. Anime has a lot of variety as medium, so it was bound for me to find something that I like. Anime is hardly my only point of reference, however.
# Q9: Are you open about your fan characters to your family and friends in real life?
- A) I am, but it’s hardly brought up. It’s just a hobby.
# Q10: Who is more moe? Viola, Isabelle or Moe Szyslak?
- A) That’s not even a question. Sorry, Viola and Isabelle, but Moe Szyslak is not only more moe, but also best girl.
