MERRY CHRISTMAS!! To everyone, I present a gift. I found something...Monaco related...that WILL save us:
Current Idea: Wart auf!! (German for "wait!")[]
We're still waiting on a launch, and that's the current idea.
Idea #2: Use Vector for now, then upgrade to Monaco when ready.[]
Vector is a MediaWiki skin that's designed/used on Wikipedia and some other wikis. The MediaWiki installation at the new site does support Vector.
So my new idea is: instead of waiting, why not use Vector on the new site, then switch to Monaco when it's ready? I mean, it would mean switching over now, then the wait for Monaco won't be so hard to endure.

Concepts/ideas[]
So in the meantime, I've decided to come up with ideas for stuff we can do after we move.
- Form a full wiki family with all of the other wikis on sonicwiki.org
- Start a stand-alone forum (http://www.niwanetwork.org/forums/)
- Form a central hub page with links to all of our wikis.
- Come up with a group name.....I'll admit, Sonic Nexus is a good name,
but we have Non-Sonic wikis coming too. And "Random Wiki Alliance" doesn't sound too professional.Any other ideas?
Suggested Domain Mapping[]
Since Nero claims that his host will provide domain names, I have taken the time to map out a domain name plan for the Sonic Family of Wikis. This is just a concept, this hasn't been set in stone yet. Also, some wikis haven't even decided on moving yet.
- www.sonicwiki.org - The main wiki will be the Sonic News Network, as it is, after all, the ultimate wiki for all things Sonic!
- fanon.sonicwiki.org - The site location for Sonic Fanon Wiki.
- fancross.sonicwiki.org - Sonic Fan Crossovers Wiki.
- music.sonicwiki.org - The site location for the Sonic Sound Test Wiki.
- spynet.sonicwiki.org - The site location for the Shadow Spy Net.
- misc.sonicwiki.org - Those wikis that DON'T fit under the "Sonic the Hedgehog" brand.
- misc.sonicwiki.org/smbz - Super Mario Bros. Z
- misc.sonicwiki.org/naruto - Naruto
- misc.sonicwiki.org/digifanon - Digimon Fanon
- (forum.sonicwiki.org - It would even be nice to set up a standalone forum for the Sonic Family of Wikis!!)
