So this has been going on for far too long to the point where it's absolutely ridiculous. Before I start I'm not meaning any sort of offense towards anyone but I feel that I need to be blunt about this.

The decrease in activity on this wiki is pitiful at best. For months we've been going through a decline in activity but recently it's been especially bad, on both main wiki as well as chat. Hell, if you take a look at the users that frequent chat, the majority of them don't edit on a daily basis. Granted this is a hypocritical thing for me to say as I don't edit often either, but that leads me to my next point, there's no motivation involved.

I often feel discouraged from posting something when I know not much is going to happen to it. It's like saying "hey, all that stuff you put time and effort into is just sitting there." While I cannot speak for others, I feel this is what's keeping me from editing, and perhaps other users.

I realize that no one is entitled to edit often, which I understand, but I keep on hearing so many complaints yet nothing done about it. This is a group effort, so even if one person is willing to become active again, there won't be that great of an impact compared to the entire community.

The current staff aren't helping much either. Again, not attempting to offend anyone, but merely "lurking" doesn't mean "helping the wiki while it's dying." Just glancing around the wiki doesn't let other users know that you're still active. I would suggest admins that will actually put effort into getting this site back on its feet but there really aren't any decent candidates (which may be due to the lack of activity from /any/ user).

I'm not overly fond of removing chat as it's moving slowly just like the wiki, but at the same time there's quite the number of users that don't even edit. At all. Sure, maybe a few here or there for their user page, maybe a talk page message, but that's about it. Even so I don't think anything will change upon it's removal.

Maybe it's the lack of roleplays that people could always connect to each other through, or just how closed of a community we've become. Sure, we'll welcome someone to the wiki, but what then?

At this point I've given up on trying to figure out what the issue is, so I'd like to direct our attention towards trying to find a solution instead. Thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
