I've come to regret much that I've done here on SFW. I've driven away my friends, created enemies of users, and driven myself to fits of insanity online. I want to say I'm sorry, and I want to fix things. I probably won't. I'll just mess them up again, but I think I can manage to reverse one mistake: Getting Guyviroth banned from the Wiki. He never did anything wrong honestly. He was an @$$, but the things he said were usually true. I only came to dislike him because as a new user on the Wiki he critisized me and my work. I was wrong, but I never admitted it. I was angry, and I drove another user away.
Thankfully I know there is a way to bring him back, if he'll have us. The administrators put democracy very high among their ideals, so if we should vote on whether on not to bring Guy back, they cannot refuse without being undeniable liars. Not only that, but a statue of limitations set my Flash for Memphis, an admitted troll who had to be banned over 20 times yet has become a 'crat here, is not set in writing or policies and may be extended to Guy.
I'm not just going to let you vote without hearing an unbiased view of why Guy was banned before, and why he deserved to stay.
- Guyviroth was banned a few months ago because he had insulted MetalDharak somewhere, I don't even remember, that she could go kill herself and he wouldn't care. We, the admins, pounced on the oppurtunity to get rid of him. We wanted him gone because he'd been a nuisance to us for years. He was critical, rude, and always told us what a terrible job we were doing. On other Wiki he would even directly insult admins, one instance calling Ryu a "two-faced b!tch". Those are the negatives.
- Before we started grasping for any way to get rid of him, however, Guy was an upstanding user on SFW. He was among our top Roleplayers. His character pages were some of the cleanest, most in depth on the Wiki. And he created several tutorials, including a drawing tutorial to stem the flux of Recolors. He would write helpful, though sometimes painfully honest, critiques to help users inprove their characters.
All I want is to make things right again, so please comment.
