Adding to the off-topicness, I feel that if someone has a problem with him, they should step up and say it to his face. Complaining about people behind their backs never gets anything done.
I agree with this. There apparently has been complaints of me and Monk, among other people, in the past and we never got real explanations as to why
they were not brought up to us. The only excuse we got was "they're scared of you so they didn't tell". If you're seriously spending your days on this wiki living in fear of the people that are there to help you out, then something is seriously wrong.
I can only say what I think about the highlighted statement, I have no idea if it is correct or not, and only what I assume from experience.
People have strained relationships with mods and certain admins for reasons I can neither conform nor wish to speak of to the the former reason. There might also be the fear of social rejection; calling out an admin may end up hurting friendships and mundane relations with other users.
One more time, this is only what I can guess from a variety of sources and assumptions, but it is based off thigns I have legitimately seen from other users.
It would definitely appear to be harder to confront a person with a problem that you have with them when they are in a position of 'higher authority' than you; I can sympathize with that. It's actually kinda natural to feel somewhat intimidated by someone in a higher position, even if they're there to help you. However, it is better to confront the person with the problem (if possible) rather than talking about it with other users. There are exceptions, of course, but in Monk's case (and apparently Skull's as he mentioned something about people complaining about him as well), most users I know on here are open-minded enough to listen to what others have to say.
