Plot

Sticks arrives at the Royal Hedgehog Palace with a letter, having no idea what it is. Taking turns to read the letter, Sonic reads up that Sticks has been invited to a ball and that she and (conveniently) her four closest friends are invited to the party as well. Sonic also reads up that the ball will be held right here at the royal palace with elegant food and guests, to which Sticks responds with made-up excuses explaining why she cannot attend it in spite of her friends' persuasion. Eventually, Amy makes her admit that she is afraid of embarrassing herself with her uncivilized behavior, as she does not know how to behave at court. Amy therefore offers to teach Sticks to be a proper lady, which she accepts, and nominates Sonic as Sticks' escort, which he begrudgingly accepts upon Sticks' pleads.

Sticks' training begins, and Amy starts teaching her about making proper compliments; her response to that is by sniffing Amy for any perfume while giving a good response. Sticks then begins training with Sonic in being escorted, but Sticks starts picking a fight with a figurative guest during practice; Amy responds by saying a lady does not start a fight, but can finish one. Moving on, Windermere tries to teach to Sticks to drink while lifting her pinkie, but while Sticks get the pinkie part right, she drinks too much and has to swallow quickly to avoid choking herself. She and Sonic then practice dancing with their friends' assistance, but Sticks lets her paranoia over the music get the better of her and she messes up and falls down, taking Sonic down with her. They try again and she does a bit better.

At the evening of the ball, all are dressed up for the event, where Sticks makes a decent arrival with Sonic. Amy urges her to try and mingle with the other guests, but Sticks still has trouble containing her primal behavior, much to Queen Amy's annoyance.

At the dinner, Sticks has trouble with the cutlery at first but gets the hang of it and begins eating.

Plot

Sonic is compelled to a mysterious location, where his voice and speed are stolen by a clone of the Oracle created by Robotnik. It's up to everyone to save him and finally defeat Robotnik, fulfilling the prophecy, crowning Sonic as King of Mobius and restoring the planet to peace.

Quotes

Sonic: A wise king once sang to me, 'We are one.' I didn't understand him then. Now I do. We are connected by our shared blood, our heritage, and no matter how far we are, we stay a family.

Priest: A crown to wear in grace and beauty as is thy right and royal duty.

Jules: We can’t be standing around and yammering. There’s a resistance that needs to begin. The sooner we ignite the flames, the sooner we can roast Ivo over our pyre of freedom.

Trivia

  • This episode borrows elements from Disney's The Little Mermaid (the main plot of Sonic's voice and speed being stolen by the Oracle's clone), Frozen 2 (for the reunion of Jules and Aleena with their children) and The Lion King 2 (the title of the song We are One).
