The Hourglass, also referred to as the Hourglass of the Videogame Solar System, is an item featured in the AngieYaz/RoseOfSharon reboot of the Sonic Underground television series, based on the Hourglass from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. It is crucial to the flow of time and the fates of everyone, as poor usage and damage can bring about the end of not just the current timeline for Mobius and many countless worlds, but reality itself.
History[]
Created at an unknown time (before the creation of Mobius), the Mobian goddess Kronika became the Keeper of Time, monitoring the timeline with the Hourglass, forging the destinies of every being within each world. When a timeline does not fit to Kronika's liking, she erases it using the power of the Hourglass and begins forging a new one.
Not everyone is affect by the Hourglass, such as other deities. As a fixed point in time, Geras is also unaffected by the Hourglass, as he has a smaller control over time than compared to Kronika.
