The Fusion Orb is a artifact with the capability to fuse multiple beings together, biological or mechanical.
Appearance[]
The Fusion Orb is a orb-shaped(Wow, who could've guessed) artifact that's roughly the size of a soccer ball. It's color is perceived differently by everyone. On it's underside is a message from the original users for whoever managed to find it.
Properties[]
The Fusion Orb can, as it's name suggests, fuse beings together. This is done by the users placing their hand on the stone together. The users only have to be sentient, so robots with a personality of some kind can use it just fine.
Fusion will allow the users to use the powers of each other. As well, if the users share a ability, the ability will stack, allowing the fusion to do things none of the users alone could. In terms of how the fusion functions, the users of the Fusion Orb will have a equal amount of control over the body, communicating in the mindscape, and can split if one user desires to.
When speaking, the voice will be of the person speaking, not some sort of hybrid voice. The fusion's body will be a combination of the user's bodies.
History[]
The Fusion Orb was created long ago by a extinct culture, using the Reverie. The culture used it for various purposes, from merging their strongest warriors, to fusing blacksmiths to combine their capabilities, to combining some of their best chefs to create one even better. Eventually though, they would be attacked by the Echidnas during Pachamac's reign, who's command over Chaos energy beat out anything fusion could provide. Before they were completely wiped out though, the culture would hide the orb in a zone famous for holding absolutely nothing of worth, the Flat Frost Zone.
The Fusion Orb was then forgotten about until someone accidentally set a energy scanner to the right frequency and found it, before telling everyone. This news eventually reached the ears of the Restoration, G-U-N and the Eggman Empire, and multiple parties were sent out to find it, including Team Dragoon, with E123 Omega acting as their guide. While Sonic and most of his friends didn't think much of the signature, Eggman did, and deployed to find it. Eventually, multiple groups would collide, and Eggman would fight them all, with the Fusion Orb ending up destroyed in the end.
While this was the end of the Fusion Orb's story, it wasn't the end for fusion...
