This page contains the interview of Featured Article of April 2020 Tel-EthSkyblade743 was interviewed on April 2nd, 2020.

The Interview

|1=# Q1: How does he look like under the hood?

A) The majority of his clothing (hood included) is actually part of him due to his shapeshifter physiology. This means the hood never comes down, so the only thing that's under there is a flat face with the glowing red eyes that can be seen even when the hood is up.

# Q2: Did Tel-Eth graduate from the Guardians’ school “top of his class” like Travolta says in one of his (many) bad movies?

A) Yes, although it took a lot of work from him and Vale Valentine to get him there. Even his teachers were surprised. Throughout all of this, Tel-Eth's mysterious connection to John Travolta remains unclear.

# Q3: Why was Tel-Eth chosen by the Guardians to become a fellow Guardian?

A) The Guardians are all psychokinetics, deriving from the now extinct race of the Guardian's central planet all having psychokinesis. Tel-Eth displayed latent psychokinetic power in an incident on his home planet, and as such he was trained up by the Guardians to be a fellow member. His determination was also seen as an admirable quality.

# Q4: Was Tel-Eth obsessed with becoming the perfect Guardian? What drove him in becoming the best of the best?

A) Tel-Eth had developed a strong sense of justice from living in his deprived home city, and he believed that he needed to be as strong as possible to fight evil in the universe. He was also intent on proving his teachers other members of his class wrong about how weak he was.

# Q5: Is Tel-Eth a homosexual?

A) He's pansexual. In a race of shapeshifters, gender isn't much of an object.

# Q6: After being sent 200 years into the future and his sanity slipping to insanity, have his intentions of wanting the Chronosabre changed or is it still for turning back time to bring his planet back to existence?

A) Tel-Eth wants to use the Chronosabre to fix every mistake that was made and create a utopia. While he knows the Chronosabre will probably destroy reality in the process, he doesn't care anymore: as long as there is a chance to create a perfect universe, he is willing to take it. Of course, bringing back his home planet will be included in that.

# Q7: How have you changed Tel-Eth’s design over the years? How was his prototype appearance?

A) Unlike Vendeta, Tel-Eth's appearance hasn't change a whole lot, mostly because I never asked anyone to do art for him until recently. The only part that was really changed was the red eyes, which were added by Xoph when he did Tel-Eth's current picture. Also, Xoph drew a version of him with a gold mask which looks awesome and I am desperately looking for a place to make canon.

# Q8: Does his name have any meaning in his own language?

A) It means "hope child", being a source of hope to his parents who grew up in less than stellar conditions.

# Q9: While currently a villain, is there still a way for Tel-Eth to find redemption and become good again?

A) If someone manages to talk him out of his plight and make him come to terms with his grief, maybe. However, considering how focused he is on his objective it's certainly going to be hard.

# Q10: Do you think Tel-Eth and Madoka The Light would be good friends? I do. Except if he liked tickling Madoka’s bare feet like Eggman did.

A) I agree, I think they'd get on. When he eventually rewrites the universe with the Chronosabre to create his utopia, he will remove foot tickling for her. He doesn't want his feet to be tickled either. You don't want to see his feet. They're not pleasant.
