Speeder is a middle-aged hedgehog and a local policeman of Greenflower City. He is the bumbling father of Speedy, and a good friend of Smash. He wears an iconic cowboy hat that compliments his bushy, handlebar mustache. He's generally somewhat silly and irresponsible, often goofing off and finding ways to skip out on the job, but gets extremely focused when it counts. Like Speedy, He has an undying love for Hot Links, though he doesn't exaggerate it nearly as much as his son.

He has the tendency to embarrass Speedy when it comes to his relationship with Violet.

Looks

Speeder looks a whole lot like his son, bearing the same quill style that he does. He has a tuft of fur on his chest, and a few tufts of red hair under his hat. When he takes his hat off, (which he only does when times get serious) the hair falls down just above his eyes. He has a bushy brown, handlebar shaped mustache and deep dark blue eyes.

Aside from his hat, his general outfit consists of a white shirt with buttons lining down the front, a brown leather jacket which he leaves open, and long tan pants. He wears a brown belt across his waist to hold his guns, black socks and brown boots with a thick darker brown stripe going down the top, and black gloves without the fingertips.

Personality

Speeder looks like a competent, responsible adult and a cool cowboy you can rely on. But in truth, while he can be reliable when he really needs to be, it's by far from apparent when you first meet him. He's a silly, slightly clumsy, fairly jolly man who likes to have fun, and is known as a bit of a goofball amongst the police force. And at home, he would fit right in as the bumbling dad of a family sitcom. But when the situation grows serious, he proves that he isn't nearly as dumb or careless as he seems. Between his sharp wit, quick reflexes and a strong sense of duty and justice, he's kept his job all these years for a reason.

He rarely wears his actual police uniform on the job, choosing a western sheriff outfit instead. He has a bit of a southern accent, but it's probably faked so to help improve his 'sheriff' look. His hat is his most treasured item, as he wore it since long before he was even married.

Strengths and Powers

Not much is known about Speeders powers. It's implied that he possesses the same fire powers that Speedy does. It was once suggested that he may have a gun (or two) that uses fireballs or flaming bullets as ammunition. He was never shown in battle however, so nothing is confirmed.

General Info

Speeder has been a cop in Greenflower City since his son was just a little boy. Though it is implied that he had a bit of trouble working up the ranks in his early days, Speeder is a well-trusted officer despite his laid-back nature. He has been mentoring Speedy on how he runs things and often lets him help during investigations and the like. It's not rare that Violet joins them either, as her father is also a policeman and a longtime friend of his. Oftentimes though, he will find himself working alongside Smash The Echidna and his friends, due to Smash's nack for finding mysteries to solve.
