This is the final game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. This game takes place after the 25th Anniversary game, Sonic Adventure 3: The End of the World. After the near destruction of the planet, GUN wants Sonic and the rest of his friends to no longer use their abilities without permission and to register into GUN's database so they can track their movements at every second. This leads to a division between the friends, leading into a Civil War that will decide the fate for everyone.
