Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the Hedgehog is the hero of his self-titled video game series. Naturally, he's still the main protagonist in BearfootTruck's stories, where he leads the Knothole Freedom Fighters. For the most part, he's the same as his canon counterpart. Or, for portals to other universes, you can click here.

Backstory[]

ASMW[]

Sonic was born in the Kingdom of Mobius to Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog, who died under mysterious circumstances. Thus, he was adopted by his uncle, a Great War veteran, chili dog salesman and part-time inventor named Sir Charles T. Hedgehog, a.k.a. "Uncle Chuck". The two of them lived in Emerald City. Originally, Sonic was named "Sonny" and was colored brown. Growing up, young Sonny had poor eyesight and would often bump into things. Nevertheless, that didn't stop him from doing his favorite thing: running. He would run and run and run - all day, every day. Then, one day, Sonny ended up running so fast that he broke the sound barrier. This turned his quills blue and made them more streamlined. From that day forward, Uncle Chuck would call him "Sonic".

Life was good for Sonic & his uncle. Then, one day, a mad scientist named Dr. Ivo Robotnik staged a coup and overthrew the king & queen of Mobius. After taking over, Robotnik also roboticized most of Mobius' population. Sonic escaped, but he failed to save Uncle Chuck from being roboticized, so he went to the Great Forest. However, he had no friends, so all of his time was spent either running around, eating, drinking, or laying on the ground crying. Finally, he decided to stop feeling sorry for himself and fight, which set off the events in the first three Sonic games. Then, he met Sally Acorn and some Freedom Fighters, and the rest is history.

Sonic Journeys[]

Sonic was born in the Kingdom of Mobius to Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog, who died under mysterious circumstances. Thus, he was adopted by his uncle, a Great War veteran, repair technician and part-time inventor named Sir Charles T. Hedgehog, a.k.a. "Uncle Chuck". The two of them lived in Emerald City. Originally, Sonic was named "Sonny" and was colored brown.

At a young age, he ran away from home, committing various acts of delinquency, mainly stealing. Fast on his feet, he evaded the law on many occasions, not knowing or caring that an even bigger plot was in motion. One day, while Sonny was stealing food, a mad scientist named Dr. Ivo Robotnik staged a coup and overthrew the king & queen of Mobius. After taking over, Robotnik also roboticized most of Mobius' population. Sonny escaped and went to the Great Forest. However, all his friends were dead or roboticized, so all of his time was spent either running around, eating, drinking, or laying on the ground crying. Then, when he was attacked by a gang of SWATbots, he ended up running so fast that he broke the sound barrier. This turned his quills blue and made them more streamlined. From that day forward, he would be known as "Sonic".

Sonic War Zone[]

Sonic was born in the Kingdom of Mobius to Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog. Originally, Sonic was named "Sonny" and was colored brown. From an early age, he proved to be an unfortunate child, as he was frequently bullied, particularly for his poor eyesight. His grades were never very good, and he was often placed in special ed classes. Sonny's only escape from the pressures of daily living was being able to run around. Every day, he challenged himself to run faster and faster, until he finally broke the sound barrier. This turned his quills blue and made them more streamlined. From that day forward, he would be known as "Sonic". The bullying didn't stop completely, but his eyesight had improved. His grades were still another matter. As he got older, Sonic took on a "bad boy" image, often skipping school or showing up late to class, fighting with students who dared to pick on him and stealing food, among other things. Despite this, he had a heart of gold and sincerely wanted to stand up for the little guy. When the Roseinians started dropping bombs on Emerald City, he would get his chance...

Personality[]

For the most part, Sonic's personality is the same as his canon counterpart: He's brave, bold, reckless, and a real joker. However, like his canon counterpart, he still believes in doing what's right and helping people out when they're feeling down. There's just one difference: Unlike in the games, Sonic doesn't mind chilling out and relaxing every now and then — as long as nobody's holding him involuntarily, anyways. On a lesser note, Sonic's brand of cockiness seems to reflect his AoStH & SatAM portrayals. Parallel to this, Sonic also sports a unique trait: He uses 70's slang such as "far out" or "jive".

Appearance[]

Sonic's appearance has been the subject of serious debate. Some people report seeing a light blue hedgehog with black irises and stubby limbs, while others claim to have seen a darker blue hedgehog with longer limbs and longer quills. A select few people maintain that they have seen a hedgehog with even longer limbs, wearing sports tape and a brown scarf. However, these people have been dismissed as insane by most people. In certain stories, Sonic will wear an olive green M65 field jacket for cold weather situations.

Abilities[]

Well...he wouldn't be Sonic if he didn't have super speed now, would he? Aside from that, and from his usual abilities, Sonic is also quite artistic, and can paint a masterpiece in only a matter of seconds. He also has good martial arts skills. Sonic is also a hotshot driver, though depending on the circumstances, he may leave the driving to Tails. Sonic also possesses Hedgehog Sense, which gives him a sort of precognition.

Items & weapons[]

Like his game counterpart, Sonic shies away from the use of weapons (barring melee weapons). While he can get the Chaos Emeralds, he hasn't actually used them in any of BearfootTruck's stories, but he has used Power Rings before. For stealth operations, Sonic also carries a bottomless bag of disguises just as he did in AoStH. On certain occasions, he may use vehicles. So far, he's owned the Tornado biplane, a Yamaha YZ400 "Whirlwind" motocross bike and - in A Dark Birthday - a Mack M123 tank transporter, nicknamed "Rocky". Also in A Dark Birthday, he carried an AK-47 with the intent to use it on Dr. Robotnik, but Tails wrestled the weapon away from him before he got a chance to fire it.

Two Kinds of Heroes[]

Sonic heads to Eggopolis with Tails & Knuckles, aiming to destroy a mech factory that Dr. Robotnik is constructing. However, due to a trap planted by Scratch & Grounder, plus a freak electromagnetic storm, he and his gang end up in Stalag 13. Here, they meet up with Colonel Robert Hogan and his Heroes. Sonic learns that Hogan has a similar mission: To take out a factory that makes E-75 heavy tanks. At first, Sonic doesn’t want to go on this mission; he wants to go straight home. However, after some prodding from Sally, he reluctantly agrees to stay for the mission.

Though Hogan's men are accepting of Sonic & co., the Blue Blur & friends will have to stay hidden from the rest of the German Army. In the meantime, Sonic plays some cards and tries to keep himself entertained. Disguised as "Colonel Sonicheimer the Hedgehog", he obtains the necessary components to build a teleporter machine to get the Freedom Fighters back home. When LeBeau cooks dinner, Sonic is disappointed that there are no chili dogs, but he chows down anyways.

Sonic is surprised when Shadow shows up as a member of the Gestapo. Here, Shadow warns Sonic not to try anything funny and threatens to kill him if he does so. Nevertheless, Sonic isn’t deterred from taking part in Hogan's mission. During the attack on the tank factory, he attempts to bust through a door using a spin attack, but fails, so Bunnie & Rouge take care of it instead. Once inside, he uses his super speed to draw the guards' fire and almost gets shot, catching a bullet in his teeth. He also takes down some of the defenses so Hogan & the others can escape. With the factory destroyed, Sonic & his friends go back home and destroy Robotnik’s mech factory like they were originally supposed to.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic warns everyone about the dangers of playing with unexploded ordnance.

The Fakest Things Alive[]

When Sonic brings home a 1978 Yamaha YZ400, Rotor asks him to bring home some batteries for a laser cannon he’s working on, while Tails agrees to modify his bike. On the way, Sonic accidentally bumps into Shadow, prompting Shadow to chase after him. However, Sonic evades him in a junkyard, and after this, he gets the parts that Tails & Rotor need. However, due to an unforeseen consequence of Dr. Robotnik's Inter-Dimensional Molecular Relocation Device, Sonic gets sent back in time and (unbeknownst to his friends) replaced with two impostor hedgehogs.

The rest of the story focuses on Sonic's trip through time & space, in addition to his friends' search for him. Sonic's journey takes him all over the place: The "caveman era", Ancient Greece, the Middle Ages, the Italian Renaissance, the Salem Witch Hunts, the Battle of Gettysburg, and finally to New York City, 1977. It is here that he befriends a woman named Sharon St. Martin, an aspiring singer who works at a bakery. In addition to exploring the city on his own time, Sonic goes out with Sharon and attends a gig of hers at the Village Vanguard. Here, she is offered a recording contract, but gets a major case of butterflies in her stomach. After some encouragement from Sonic, though, she accepts the offer. Sonic & Sharon finish the night by dancing at Infinity Disco, where Sonic defeats a gang of muggers. Thus, the two go home safe & sound.

While sleeping that night, Sonic ends up in a mysterious void, where he encounters the Keeper of Time and Space. Here, it's revealed that because of Sonic's meddling, he must answer three questions before he can go home. The Blue Blur passes this test and gets back just in time to stop an attack on the Great Forest. He's about to try out his newly-modified YZ400, but then he's confronted by Shadow, Amy, Antoine, Rouge & Sally, who blame him for the things the impostors did, so he runs away. In the epilogue, it's shown that Sonic left a message for Sharon, along with some money & a gun. The message reveals that Sonic wouldn't have wanted a relationship with her because of the incident with Princess Elise, but that he still loves her and will never forget her.

In the "Sonic Says" segment for this episode, Sonic says that you shouldn't impersonate people unless you're on an undercover mission.

And Down Will Come Sonic – Cradle and All[]

Sonic & Shadow respond to a distress call at Kinto Village. However, it was a trap set up by Dr. Robotnik, and during the battle, Sonic hurts his foot when he steps on a spike. Miles "Tails" Prower brings him back to Knothole, where Rotor & Sally tend to his injury. After eating a platter of chili dogs brought to him by Antoine & Bunnie, Sonic falls asleep early. While Sonic's asleep, he has a dream that he's at a schoolhouse, where a clone of Sonic shows him around. However, this clone turns out to be evil and is bent on tormenting Sonic. Despite his best attempts to escape, his evil clone follows him and eventually gives him a frightening bus ride. Afterwards, Sonic blacks out and ends up in a void, thinking he's escaped, but Nightmare Sonic is still there.

Sonic wakes up from this dream and goes back to sleep. The next morning, he says hello to all his friends, but Sally turns out to be Nightmare Sonic instead, which means Sonic's still dreaming. He wakes up from this dream and watches a movie the next morning. However, the movie is interrupted by a news announcement – delivered by Nightmare Sonic, of all people. The real Sonic wakes up from this, but when he goes back to sleep, he's awoken in the middle of the night by Tails, who has an urgent message. At first, the Blue Blur thinks it's a trick, but after some more prodding from Tails, he gives in and checks it out. He spots one of Robotnik's machines cutting down the Great Forest. Knuckles is already there, but it’s merely Nightmare Sonic disguised as him.

From then on, Sonic is trapped in a never-ending series of nightmares, trying to escape his evil clone. In one such nightmare, he goes back to New York City and meets Sharon, who is really the clone Sonic. Then, while running away from the NYPD, he is "wounded" by an NYPD officer and then "killed" by Shadow, who shows up in an unmarked police car. Eventually, Sonic confronts his clone, who has taken the form of a Tails Doll. He proceeds to punch the doll in the face, and despite the doll's head changing to those of his friends, he keeps punching it and wakes up for real. As it turns out, Sonic had been poisoned with sodium barboxide and had been cured by his friends.

After a tearful reunion with his friends & a group hug, Sonic & the gang head for Eggopolis, where Dr. Robotnik has constructed a planet-killing weapon. They're temporarily held up by a Richard Nixon impersonator, but they move on. On the way, they meet Shadow, who draws the attention of Robotnik's badniks so Sonic & the others can destroy the megaweapon. Back home, Sonic & Tails hug each other.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic explains that bullying is a bad thing and gives tips on how to deal with it.

Mighty Sonic[]

After one of his daily runs, Sonic decides to watch The Amazing Adventures of Edgar Eagle, only for Tails to run in & start watching Super Changin' Muscle Rangers (an obvious takeoff of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers). Sonic hates the show, so he gets into a fight with Tails over the TV remote, causing it to break. Sonic gives up and lets Tails watch the show.

Outside, he finds that all of his other friends are into the show, which causes tension between them. Sonic's hatred for the show stems from the fact that it beat his own show in the ratings race (a reference to Sonic SatAM being beaten by Power Rangers). After running around, this tension comes to a head when Rouge teases Sonic for being jealous of Super Changin' Muscle Rangers. For him, this proves to be the last straw, so he loses his temper and insults Rouge. After this outburst, he meets up with Cream & Cheese. To his relief, he finds out that they’re not Muscle Rangers fans, so he decides to stay at their house and cool off.

Sonic gets a surprise when he learns that the stars of Super Changin' Muscle Rangers – namely, the Rangers themselves – have been kidnapped. He finds himself conflicted because he hates the show, yet he feels a duty to help out those in need. After talking with Vanilla, he concludes that he should save the Muscle Rangers stars anyways, so he heads back for Knothole. Along the way, he apologizes to Rouge for insulting her and gets into a fight with Shadow. Both times, he tells them what happens, causing them to run off to Eggopolis without a plan, which results in them getting kidnapped as well.

Back in Knothole, he explains the situation to his friends, causing Amy & Antoine to run out and get kidnapped also. With people’s lives on the line, Rotor formulates a special plan. Once Sonic & friends get to Robotnik's base, they call upon the power of some DinoVords (thinly-disguised DinoZords) that Rotor built. At first, Sonic has trouble operating his RaptorVord, but he gets the hang of it, and thanks to the MegaVord Mode, they defeat Robotnik again and rescue the Muscle Rangers.

In the end, Sonic & friends are thanked for their help. It is here that Sonic confesses his true feelings about the show and how he felt conflicted about the whole thing. Here, Johnny Austin (the actor who plays Johnny Lee, the red Muscle Ranger) reveals that he is a big SatAM fan and was sad when it was cancelled, so he gives Sonic & Tails an opportunity to guest star in an episode of Muscle Rangers. Afterwards, Sonic asks Rotor why they can't use the Vords to crush Dr. Robotnik for good, and he’s told that the Vords have poor fuel efficiency and will only work really well with a rare crystal alloy.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic tells people not to judge others by their external appearance.

Sonic Journeys[]

Pilot[]

Sonic starts off as an ordinary brown hedgehog named Sonny, who has been living as a homeless kid in Emerald City for as long as he can remember, either living off strangers' handouts or by the five-finger discount. One day, after stealing an old lady's purse, Sonny is shocked to witness a fleet of mysterious warships bombing Emerald City. He manages to escape, but in the wilderness outside of the city, he cries when he not only realizes that he has no idea how he'll even keep living, but also when he thinks about the people killed in the bombing and King and Queen Acorn being forced to abdicate. Then, when a group of SWATbots comes upon him, he runs for his life, running faster and faster until he breaks the sound barrier, at which point his quills turn blue and he adopts the name "Sonic". With renewed confidence, he takes on the robot hordes pursuing him and comes face to face with Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, the madman responsible for taking over the Kingdom of Mobius. The Blue Blur manages to defeat the Doctor temporarily.

Ever more confident, Sonic chases Robotnik to Diamond Dust Zone, where he destroys more badniks and defeats the Doctor yet again. However, Ol' Blue is nearly captured and killed by a group of Roseinian soldiers. Continuing his pursuit, Sonic heads to Rusty Ruin Zone, and after handing Robotnik another defeat, he pursues him into the Labyrinth within. After nearly drowning in the Labyrinth Zone's flooded corridors, Sonic discovers a mysterious burlap sack, which turns out to be a disguise bag. After pulling out some scuba gear, he is more easily able to navigate the Zone.

With Robotnik growing increasingly desperate, Sonic chases him back to Emerald City, now known as "Eggopolis" under the Doctor's mad rule. Though shocked to discover that most – if not all – of the population has been roboticized, Big Blue keeps up the fight and faces Robotnik down in the Royal Palace, nearly getting killed but nevertheless managing to destroy his Techno Body Shell Battle Suit.

Heading to Emerald Hill Zone, Sonic happens upon a lonely young fox. Though impressed by the fox's ability to fly using his twin tails, the Blue Blur rejects his offer of friendship. However, when the fox cub becomes sad, Sonic relents and asks his name, which turns out to be Miles Prower. Because Miles hates his name, Sonic offers to call him "Tails", which he accepts. After defeating a few more SWATbots, Tails flies Sonic over to Westside Island, where they liberate Hill Top Zone from Robotnik's clutches, even having a little fun in the process.

Having found a trusty new partner, Sonic takes Tails into Mystic Cave Zone. Despite a few hang-ups, including getting shocked by a Flasher badnik and having trouble with his Hedgehog Sense acting up during the next battle with Robotnik, Sonic triumphs again. However, upon entering Hidden Palace Zone, Sonic grows concerned when Tails questions whether he really likes him or is just using him to defeat Robotnik. To prove his love, Sonic hugs Tails and disproves himself as being gay before going off to defeat more badniks and hand another defeat to Robotnik, even finding some time to whale on the Hidden Palace's massive organ.

Upon exiting the Hidden Palace Zone, Sonic and Tails take a break to have some CalorieMates before infiltrating Robotnik's Chemical Plant Zone. With assistance from a computer directory, they break into the plant's armory, and Sonic learns how to set plastic explosives. However, Ol' Blue gets distracted by a stream of sludge while planting his charges, and after Tails snaps him out of it, they finish planting the charges before encountering Robotnik and defeating him again.

After Chemical Plant Zone is destroyed, Sonic feels that there's no way to go after Robotnik being that he’s escaped to his Wing Fortress. He also rejects Tails' idea to get an airplane, citing the impossibility of getting one. Even when Tails locates an old biplane at a junkyard, Big Blue is still unsure about the plan, but when the Two-Tailed Wonder points out which parts are needed, he changes his tune and even gives the plane a fresh coat of paint.

Up in the air, Sonic and Tails are attacked by flying badniks. Sonic uses the Tornado's – as the plane is now called – machine gun to shoot them down, but accidentally shoots off a stabilizer and is forced to jump to reach Robotnik's Wing Fortress. On the fortress itself, Sonic takes on more badniks, and upon discovering that he still has a plastique left, he makes an effort to plant it in the ship’s fuel room. After doing so, he encounters Mecha Sonic, but manages to defeat him and encounters Robotnik in his giant Wing Fortress Robot. Despite a few difficulties, the Blue Blur triumphs again. Even though Robotnik gets away, Sonic manages to find Tails – who’s repaired the Tornado – and escapes the Wing Fortress before it explodes.

In the "Sonic Says" segment for this episode, Sonic talks about how to make new friends and maintain those friendships, saying that it can be rewarding even if it seems difficult.

Sonic Chaos[]

Having had his first victory against Robotnik, Sonic continues in his quest when he spots a mysterious island called Angel Island and has Tails take him there. On the island, he accidentally discovers a mysterious gem…and an echidna named Knuckles who thinks he’s an intruder sent to take a "Master Emerald". Sonic tries to explain, but Knuckles takes the gem – a Chaos Emerald – from him. Thus, Sonic and Tails end up exploring the island, at one point getting teleported back in time to meet an echidna named Tikal. They end up facing a watery being known as Chaos, and they manage to stop it, but then Robotnik's Flame Craft firebombs the island. After Sonic and Tails put on protective suits, they head deeper into the island, evading the Flying Battery before confronting Robotnik again. They stop him for now, but the Doctor explains that Chaos will do his bidding with the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles also sends Sonic and Tails to Hydrocity Zone.

In Hydrocity Zone, Sonic freaks out because of all the water, but Tails offers to teach him how to swim. The Blue Blur accepts, and he has a fun time. With that out of the way, him and Tails proceed further, destroying the Whirlpool Machine, nearly getting crushed by a moving wall and going back in time again, where they see Tikal's father Pachacamac. They wonder if the power of the Chaos Emeralds corrupts people’s minds. After they hand another defeat to Robotnik and stop Chaos, they head to Marble Garden Zone, where they destroy the Tunnel Bot, get transported back in time again and split up temporarily to hand more defeats to Robotnik and Chaos. Afterwards, Sonic hangs out by a pond with a drained Tails. Here, Ol' Blue gets into a tickle war with the Two-Tailed Wonder before they head off to Carnival Night Zone, stopping the Self D-Struct Machine and navigating a few sections that were darkened thanks to Knuckles. They stop Chaos again, and at one point, they seem to hit a dead end, but they get out. Sonic questions Tails about it and thinks he has psychic powers. That aside, they stop Robotnik again and go to sleep in the wilderness, where Sonic has a nightmare about Tails getting roboticized.

The next day, Sonic questions Tails about why he hasn't been using his blaster pistol. That aside, they decide to head for Ice Cap Zone, where Sonic uses part of a burned cabin as a snowboard. Here, him and Tails learn just what the Master Emerald is and decide that it's something that Robotnik shouldn't get his hands on. After destroying the Ice Ball Craft, they learn that Chaos was actually a benevolent guardian of the Chao on the island. On their next encounter with Robotnik, they learn that he may already have the Master Emerald, though they don't have to deal with Chaos…for now.

When they reach Launch Base Zone, Sonic decides to blow it up. Fortunately, they manage to find an armory and some explosives. Along the way, they have encounters with Robotnik and Knuckles. After destroying the Spike Hammer Craft, they head further and learn the ultimate fate of the Echidnas. They then hand another defeat to Robotnik, where Sonic learns of the Death Egg and makes fun of the Doctor for ripping off Star Wars. Knuckles confronts them again, and Sonic tries to convince him to join them, but an earthquake causes Knuckles to fall into the water. That aside, when Robotnik turns Chaos into Perfect Chaos, Sonic is at a loss as to what to do until Tikal appears and Tails suggests using the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds. Despite some difficulty, Big Blue manages to do it and becomes Super Sonic, and with the assistance of Super Tails, he defeats Perfect Chaos and heads to Mushroom Hill Zone.

In Mushroom Hill Zone, Sonic wonders if Knuckles is alive, only to meet him a little further on. Sonic then infiltrates the Flying Battery with Tails and plants explosives on it. Later on, in Lave Reef Zone, Sonic meets up with Knuckles again as well as Robotnik. After defeating Robotnik again, Sonic encounters Knuckles in a jungle and gets into a fight, only for Tikal to intervene. It is at this point that Knuckles realizes he’s been tricked and agrees to help Sonic and Tails, taking them to Sky Sanctuary Zone. Sonic destroys a bunch of EggRobos here along with Mecha Sonic Mk II before infiltrating the Death Egg.

On the Death Egg, Sonic and Tails plant some more explosives, only to encounter King Maximillian Acorn and Queen Alicia Acorn in the prison block. Sonic decides to go further into the Death Egg while Tails rescues the King and Queen. Sonic also gets a watch communicator so he can keep in contact with Tails. After destroying Red Eye, Sonic ends up outside the Death Egg and is surprised to discover that he can breathe in space. After progressing further, Sonic makes some more Star Wars jokes at Robotnik's expense before battling and destroying his Death Ball. Robotnik then attempts to destroy Sonic with the Death Egg Robot, but Sonic destroys it and escapes before the Death Egg blows up. However, Robotnik is attempting to escape with the Master Emerald, so Sonic turns into Super Sonic and stops him. With Tails' assistance, he returns the Master Emerald. Sonic offers to have Knuckles join him and Tails in fighting Robotnik, but Knuckles would much rather watch over the Master Emerald. Nevertheless, Rad Red agrees to stay in touch, and they part ways.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic talks about what to do if a hurricane warning is in effect.

Other stories[]

Sonic Hotcakes[]

Sonic decides to cook some hotcakes for Dr. Robotnik as a peace offering. However, he nearly gets killed and decides not to pursue his plan any further. When he gets back, Sally decides to try the same plan tomorrow and fails. Furthermore, this causes Sonic's other friends to try the same plan, prompting him to rush to Eggopolis before any of them get hurt. Seeing that they all got out OK, he heads back to Knothole.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, he explains the joy of giving presents to family & friends during the holidays, but he has to run away from Shadow, who is angry at Sonic for giving him Sonic '06 for Xbox 360.

A Blue Light For the Dark[]

Sonic is running through Green Grove Zone when he encounters Mephiles the Dark (Shadow form). At first, the Blue Blur wants to get revenge on him, but Mephiles isn't there to fight; he just wants to apologize for killing Sonic because he felt so much regret. Furthermore, he wants to be friends. Sonic is hesitant to befriend him, but eventually, he decides that Mephiles is telling the truth. Just to be sure, though, the Blue Blur decides to have Mephiles run around with him. However, Sonic has second thoughts about the whole thing and decides to run away from Mephiles.

For the next couple of days, Ol' Blue becomes depressed, wondering if he did the right thing by running away. Because of his guilt, he ends up freaking out when he meets Mephiles again and runs away. This puts him in a paradox: He still can't bring himself to be near the Dark One, but he really wants to get over his sense of guilt. Then, when Rouge visits one day, Sonic tells everything to her – and by extension, to Tails. Rouge suggests that the two of them go on a trip together. Thus, the dynamic duo travels around the Kingdom of Mobius and the world, concluding their trip at Star Light Zone. As a result, Sonic feels much better, so he decides to go back out into the world despite Tails' concerns.

Suddenly, Sonic runs into Mephiles again, who starts beating him up. The two of them get into a fight, which culminates in Sonic almost getting choked to death. Fortunately for the Blue Blur, Mephiles lets go of him. At first, he is very angry at Mephiles and decides to continue beating him. He even tells the Dark One about how sad Tails felt when seeing his best friend die. However, Sonic changes his tune when Mephiles gives him flowers. Having accepted Mephiles' apology, he sits down with him so they can talk about their feelings, heal each other's wounds and meditate.

When they've cleared the air, Sonic continues running with Mephiles, along with playing catch, grinding rails & train surfing. He also teaches the demon various slang terms & gestures. They seem to be doing well, until they get to Seaside Hill Zone, where Sonic gets pulled off a cliff. Luckily, Big Blue learns how to swim. Upon surfacing, he tortures Mephiles by submerging him in the water. However, cooler heads prevail once again, and Sonic lets Mephiles go after the latter promises not to do that again. Despite the previous incident, Sonic decides that Mephiles is (mostly) trustworthy, but decides to give him one more test: The two of them are going to foil one of Dr. Robotnik's plans together.

To be precise, they end up destroying a new mind control device that Robotnik just built. Since Mephiles passes the test, Sonic decides to lay down in the grass with Mephiles and chill out. Here, the two of them have a philosophical discussion, touching on matters such as origins, race & immortality. Then, he takes the Dark One back to Knothole and introduces him to the others. At first, Big Blue's friends react with fear & distrust, with Sally even administering a lie detector test. However, Sonic convinces them all that Mephiles is legit. While in Knothole, he also has a little disco party with Mephiles. After having some chili dogs for supper, the two go to Azure Lake Zone, where they watch the sunset. Sonic is surprised when Mephiles embraces him, but he lets it pass.

After the sun goes down, Sonic heads back to Knothole with Mephiles. Back in his hut, he puts his flowers in a vase and watches a movie with Mephiles. He is surprised to see that Mephiles hasn't left, wanting to stay instead. Then, when Mephiles starts crying, Sonic comforts him and gives him some tissues. When the two of them go to bed, Tails asks Sonic if he's been replaced with Mephiles. To prove otherwise, Sonic has Tails move his bed over so the three of them can sleep together for the night.

In this episode's "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic congratulates Knuckles for donating to the Salvation Marine Corps and explains the importance of donating to the needy.

Sonic's Weird Birthday[]

During an early morning run, Sonic encounters Shadow, who reminds him that it's his birthday today by giving him a cake. Actually, the Ultimate Life Form throws it on the ground and ruins it. At first, Sonic is shocked, but after hearing some of Shadow's ranting, the Blue Blur decides to give him a hug. Because of that, Shadow kicks him in the nads and runs away. After recovering from his groin injury, Sonic receives a cake from Scratch & Grounder. However, he smells something funny in the cake – literally – so he declines. It turns out to have a bomb in it, too.

Cake isn't the only food that Sonic gets for his birthday, either: He gets a sandwich from Knuckles, which turns out to be a knuckle sandwich. After getting physically injured again, Sonic encounters a parade that Cream & Amy set up for him. At first, Ol' Blue doesn’t want to ride along, but he gives in. His timing is fortunate, too: Dr. Robotnik & Snively show up in an attempt to disrupt the parade. However, with some assistance from Amy & Cream, he defeats them, after which he moves on.

Moving on, Sonic meets Rouge, who takes him to her cabin in Hill Top Zone for her gift: A spa treatment. To this end, she’s lit up some scented candles, which cause Sonic to become dizzy. First, Rouge leads him to her hot tub, and upon getting in, Big Blue falls into a trance. After spending a few minutes in the hot tub, Sonic is dried off and taken to a massage table. Once Rouge begins massaging him, he goes even deeper into his trance, losing the ability to speak. To him, the massage feels so good that he ends up having an orgasm. When the massage is done, he is barely able to get off of the table by himself. Nevertheless, after receiving a birthday hug from Rouge, Sonic is on his way.

Outside, Sonic stumbles around, struggling to keep his balance. When he comes out of his trance, he breaks out in a fit of laughter, an after-effect of his trance. Even after straightening out, he is giggly for a few minutes after that. Soon, Sonic encounters Silver, who gives him a self-help book titled Flames of Disaster: The Definitive Guide to Coping With and Overcoming Symptoms of Being the Iblis Trigger. Sonic insists that he’s no longer the Iblis Trigger, but Silver tells him that denial will only make the problem worse, so the True Blue Hedgehog reluctantly accepts his gift and moves on.

Just when Sonic is wondering whether he'll ever receive a normal birthday gift, Blaze arrives with a music box. Upon turning the crank, it plays the music from Star Light Zone in Sonic 1. Big Blue is captivated by the music, so much so that he doesn't even notice that Marine has arrived to give him a gift as well. Her gift turns out to be a boomerang. Sonic tries it out a few times, but he only manages to catch it once; he gets hit in the face on all his other attempts. Nevertheless, he thanks Marine for the gift and keeps going.

As he approaches the Great Forest, Sonic starts getting a weird feeling. Then, Espio shows up out of nowhere, spooking him. Shortly after, Charmy & Vector show up. Although Ol' Blue is skeptical about whatever gift they’ve got for him, his skepticism slowly dissipates when they unwrap it: It turns out to be a 1970 Chevy Camaro Z/28 with a supercharged big block, 4-speed manual and a host of features. At first, Sonic's not 100% enthusiastic because, being The Fastest Thing Alive, he doesn’t need a car. However, after some persuasion from the Chaotix, he relents.

Upon starting the car, Sonic hits the gas and speeds through the Great Forest, eventually taking the Camaro off a jump and landing in Knothole. The noise attracts the attention of Knothole's residents, including Tails & Sally. When informed that he has other presents waiting for him, Sonic is more eager to open them this time. However, his friends have to give him his cake first. Everything here goes smoothly, but after Sonic blows out the candles, two agents from the United Copyright Police show up. After Espio knocks them out with sleeping darts, Sonic is finally able to open his gifts. Then, Mephiles the Dark shows up with a gift of his own.

At first, Sonic suspects it to be a trap, but after some persuasion from the Dark One, he accepts. When the Blue Blur opens the box, he finds a bottle of poison in it. He's confused as to why he'd need something like this, but Mephiles assures him that it'll come in handy eventually. The Dark One gives Sonic a hug before moving on. With that out of the way, the Blue Blur can open his official gifts. First, from Sally, he gets a DVD boxset of Richard Simmons' Sweatin' to Barry Manilow, which he is unimpressed with. However, he is impressed with Bunnie's gift: Backdraft 64 for Nintendo 64. Next comes Antoine's gift: An autographed picture of himself in a 24-karat gold frame. Sonic is perplexed by this one, but he accepts it. Conversely, Sonic has few qualms about receiving a self-cooking pancake pan from Rotor. The biggest gift of all comes from none other than Tails, which happens to be a case of Super Putty. Sonic is confused as to why his best friend would get him something like this, but he’s just glad that his friends would give so much effort to buy him special gifts.

Even Tails' gift pales in comparison to Sonic's last gift, something that all the Freedom Fighters made for him. The gift in question is a statue of Sonic & Tails with a special plaque honoring their quests. Ol' Blue really loves this gift and considers it to be his favorite gift of all, aside from the Camaro. His only concern is that no one will see it after he & Tails die, but the Two-Tailed Wonder assures him that people will get to see it. Speaking of seeing it, Amy & Cream congratulate Sonic on the statue, although Cream is disappointed because she doesn’t think Sonic will like the other gift she got: A bunch of flowers. Fortunately, the Blue Blur appreciates the flowers very much. Rouge also congratulates Sonic on the statue. However, she accidentally causes Sonic to fall into a trance when she pats him on the shoulder – presumably an after effect of her gift. According to Sonic's reactions, he is seeing pretty colors while in his trance and mistakes Tails' fingers for fish.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic orders Tails to bring Knuckles back home from a party because Rad Red isn't feeling good. He also tells people not to drive home from a party if they're drunk, but to get someone else to do it or to just sleep it off. Actually, he doesn’t mention anything about alcohol, but the phrasing is quite similar.

A Dark Birthday[]

Sonic is running around Mobius, and when he returns home, he gets bad news: his Uncle Chuck is dying of cancer. In disbelief, he rushes to the hospital, where Chuck tells him the truth about his parents before dying. At the funeral, the Blue Blur delivers a eulogy for Chuck and lets out all his emotions at the party after the funeral.

The next day, Sonic is met by a man named Alan Schmidt, Chuck’s chief accountant and the executor of his will. The will states that Sonic is to inherit Chuck’s heavy equipment repair shop. Ol' Blue is reluctant to run the facility, but after some convincing from Tails, he relents. At the facility, Sonic is shown the ins and outs of the business, and is also informed that Chuck fell in 10 million Mobiums worth of debt in his later years and that he must now pay it off. Sonic goes out on a run to ease his pain and collides with Shadow at Seaside Hill Zone. The Ultimate Life Form tells Sonic that his birthday is tomorrow and that he has to get a present for him. This sparks an argument, but after a threat from Shadow, Big Blue relents and decides to get him a gift.

At first, Sonic has no idea what to get Shadow or Rouge, but after some thinking, he gets an AK-47 for Shadow and a diamond for Rouge. Unfortunately, the rifle is a low-quality knockoff and the diamond is stolen, so he returns it to the nearest police station. Having run out of ideas, Sonic decides to ask all his friends what they got for Shadow & Rouge, but these give him little inspiration. With Omega breathing down his neck as well, he decides to get Shadow & Rouge stuff that he thinks they'll like, including a DVD, a tank and a lowrider, but these turn out poorly. Feeling that he has exhausted all possible options, Sonic goes home, fires up one of the Tornadoes and attempts suicide by crashing the plane. However, Tails stops him, much to his chagrin. After getting back on the ground, the Blue Blur has a mental breakdown and complains about all the injustices he’s suffered recently. However, Tails assures him that everything will be all right. He thanks Tails for the assurance and goes to bed.

The next morning, Sonic decides to go to the garage to make sure that everything was put away, only to find inspiration. After giving a speech at work, he has Tails work on his new idea. Then, the two head to Green Grove Zone, where the party is being held. After Shadow & Rouge open everybody else's presents, they finally get to Sonic & Tails' presents: motocross bikes. Sonic suggests that Shadow & Rouge race against him & Tails on their bikes. They accept, and the race is on. Sonic attempts to attack Shadow during the race, which eventually ends with him getting his head beaten in, but he is not killed. In fact, he learns that Shadow considers him his best friend and makes up with him. Then, the two hedgehogs get back to the party. After the party, Sonic breaks into Rouge's bedroom to deliver her one last present: a relaxing massage.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic talks about birthday gifts and how they don't have to be fancy.

Rivals In Mourning[]

Sonic is crying in the Great Forest because Amy got hit by a car and died. Shadow shows up, and the Blue Blur gets angry because he feels he's being intruded on, which isn't the case. At first, he answers Shadow's questions compliantly, but flips out when the Ultimate Life Form asks about Tails. What also hurts Ol' Blue is that he feels that he may have told Amy off in a rude manner. He also cries more when hearing about Shadow's story about getting mad at Maria, and hugs him. When he's done crying, Sonic feels much better and also feels closer to Shadow. He even feels happy when Shadow asks to spend the night at his place.

Sonic Wave[]

Sonic – now a student at James F. Charleston High School in San Santos – is learning about the Tedescan Civil War in World History Class when Mr. Obotir conducts a little experiment: he makes the students sit up with perfect posture, which Sonic hates. However, the Blue Blur is enthusiastic about the next portion, which involves getting out of one’s seat, moving around the classroom for a few seconds and getting back to one’s desk as quickly and as orderly as possible. At lunch, Sonic is open about his dislike for the experiment. After lunch, he asks Shadow what he thought of the experiment and is flabbergasted when the Ultimate Life Form deems it to be logical. After school, he spends a good amount of time speeding around the city before returning home. At supper, Ol' Blue complains about the experiment to Uncle Chuck

The next day, Sonic disregards the experiment completely even when most other students are still going through with its precepts. However, he gladly marches – or rather, runs – in place. When ordered to give the new salute for "The Wave" – as the experiment is now known – Big Blue gives a slightly-modified version as an act of defiance. When Knuckles greets him and Tails with the salute and the mottos, Sonic elects not to do it. Back home, when discussing The Wave with Tails, Sonic isn't mad at him, but has no idea how to stop it. Seeing that he has no homework, the Blue Blur elects to play Chainsaw Death Killers.

On Day Three, Sonic is disappointed that other students have cut their usual classes to join The Wave. He also elects not to repeat the mottos and salute when Mr. Obotir and most of the class does so. Later in the day, Ol’ Blue gets in a fight with another student about The Wave, only stopping when Knuckles orders them to break it up. When school is over, he eats the membership card he got and is about to run when Amy and Cream show up. He is both confused and disappointed when he finds out the two girls have joined The Wave and tries to convince them to leave, citing the Tedescan Civil War. After getting a kiss from Amy, Sonic is further shocked when a local gang leader does the salute and the mottos.

Back home, Sonic agrees to take part in a new plan: spread anti-Wave leaflets around San Santos in order to discourage people from joining. He spreads quite a few around wherever he can. Later that night, when out for a run, he visits Rouge's house and discovers her crying. When he asks why, he finds out that both Knuckles and Shadow are both taking The Wave too seriously. He then assures her that she's not alone and that he wants to help her fight The Wave, after which he gives her a hug and calms her down. Once Rouge has calmed down, Sonic offers to take her out for a drink, but when she offers to go to a restaurant with him, he accepts despite having already eaten.

At the restaurant, Sonic pays for the food and explains the plan that him and Tails came up with. He is happily surprised to find out that Rouge was spreading her own rumors about The Wave. After giving a couple of his fans autographs, he accepts one from Rouge as well to make her happy. Then, he hands a leaflet to her for her to read and accepts the suggestions that she gives. After the meal, Big Blue suggests that they head to Mr. Obotir's house in an attempt to convince him to stop The Wave. After being flown there, Sonic is confused when Mr. Obotir isn’t home, so he escorts Rouge to her house, only to find out that somebody put pro-Wave graffiti on it. He attempts to remove it and is confronted by gang members. Undaunted, he attacks them with Rouge and drives them off, after which he removes the graffiti and says goodnight to her. At his house, Sonic asks Tails if he'd be interested in making a few changes to the leaflet and promises to buy more ink or toner for the printing press. The Blue Blur gets frustrated when Tails notices the lipstick mark that Rouge left, but he apologizes, citing burnout. He decides to go to bed early and has a better night's sleep than usual.

Sonic is surprised when Rouge wakes him up early the next day. Nevertheless, he welcomes the big breakfast that she cooked. After being hugged by Rouge again, Sonic tells Uncle Chuck about The Wave. Ol' Blue is so confident in his team that he believes that The Wave will be stopped by Saturday. On the way to school, he notices Silver feeling depressed because Blaze abandoned him for The Wave, so he does his best to cheer him up by giving him an inspirational speech. He is happy when Silver elects to join them and gladly spreads leaflets around the school before classes begin in earnest.

When Day Four gets on for real, Sonic is anxious when Mr. Obotir claims that there are other youth movements across the country like The Wave. When Shadow produces a magazine that allegedly has a pro-Wave message, Sonic grabs it and is so shocked that he fails to notice the electronics company logo on the ad in question. He tries to convince everybody to leave and has to flee when Mr. Obotir sends Knuckles and Shadow after him. However, the Blue Blur is caught when Shadow uses Chaos Control and is dragged to one of the bathrooms, where Knuckles holds him down while Shadow beats him up. Nevertheless, Sonic maintains a defiant attitude and is able to flee when Silver immobilizes Knuckles and Shadow. He then drags Silver into hiding and tells him that Shadow broke his nose. Fortunately for him, Silver is able to fix it with his PK powers. After thanking him, Sonic postulates that The Wave might be stopped by tomorrow, believing that there's really no nationwide movement connected to it. He also thanks Silver for being a good guy and skips the rest of History class to go to the library with him, making a brief detour to the nurse's office to make sure he didn't suffer any really grievous injuries.

By lunch, Sonic has already witnessed a few conflicts between faculty members and pro-Wave students. While sitting down with Tails, Rouge and Silver at lunch, he tells Blaze about the injuries that he suffered at the hands of Shadow. In spite of the fact that she refuses to leave The Wave, Sonic is thankful that Blaze didn't try to set him and his friends on fire. Even though Shadow spooks him shortly thereafter, Sonic is relatively unfazed and even visits Mr. Obotir at his house along with Tails, Rouge and Silver in order to convince him to stop The Wave. The Blue Blur even calls him out for lying when he says that there really is a nationwide movement. Nevertheless, he agrees to a cease-fire when Mr. Obotir tells him about some emergency procedures that he's formulated in case The Wave goes haywire, although he promises to make sure that Mr. Obotir takes the fall if it goes any further.

That evening, Sonic, Tails, Rouge and Silver have a pizza party at Sonic and Tails' house while formulating a backup plan and just generally having fun. Ol' Blue is shocked when Espio shows up, but becomes skeptical when he claims that Shadow is going to deal with anti-Wave resistance harshly. Sonic's skepticism, however, is dashed when some gang members attempt a drive-by on him. Not one to take it lying down, he follows the gang car carefully until he's memorized the license plate number.

When the police show up to investigate, Sonic tells the detective questioning him everything to the best of his ability, although he is disappointed when the detective says that the police can't do much about The Wave unless they have enough evidence. When Uncle Chuck suggests that Rouge and Silver go back home, Sonic warns him that the two will be killed if the members of The Wave know that they survived the shooting. Nevertheless, he agrees to let Rouge go her own way, but he is happy that Silver has agreed to stay the night. However, his happiness soon dissipates when the bed turns out to be too small for Sonic, Tails and Silver, so Silver agrees to sleep on the floor.

The next day, Sonic visits Rouge's house with Tails and Silver and has breakfast at a local waffle house before playing hooky until noon, when he leads them to the school to infiltrate the rally. In order to not be detected, Sonic reaches into his disguise bag and pulls out Wave uniforms for everybody. After getting past Storm and Bark, Sonic is shocked to discover the scope of the rally. When Silver accidentally gives them away, Ol' Blue is the first to be knocked out before being captured.

When he awakens, Sonic is not surprised to discover that Mr. Obotir is really his long-time foe Dr. Robotnik. He still believes him to be lying about the nationwide movement, thereby earning a slap. After Robotnik leaves, Sonic initiates a distraction by asking Tails if he remembered his inhaler. Once freed, Sonic assists his friends in taking out the SWATbots guarding them, only to have to go back to his house so Tails can get Miles Electric. When Sonic, Tails, Rouge and Silver discover more cops upon returning to the school, the Blue Blur is initially confident in the police’s ability to stop The Wave, but when they are unable to return fire upon being shot at, he decides to throw a soda can to distract the police so him, Tails, Rouge and Silver can slip back into the school.

Back inside, Sonic and co. carefully sneak around the school, looking for Robotnik. When they fail to find the Doctor, Sonic reassures Silver that they’ll find him soon enough. After getting back into his Wave uniform, Sonic keeps up the search until Espio finds him and informs him that Robotnik is holed up in a secret maintenance room. When he finds the secret entrance, Big Blue attempts to break it down with a Spin Dash and fails. He then has to protect Tails while he cracks the code that’s locking the door. When he hears the APC being blown up, he changes out of his uniform and rushes outside to survey the damage, nearly getting blown up by Shadow when taking cover behind a S.W.A.T. van.

Upon meeting with Captain Davison, Lieutenant Robert Forrest and Sergeant Martin Hand, Sonic and his friends tell them all about The Wave starting at Day One. When Davison attempts to call off the rest of the officers, the Blue Blur assures him that he and his friends have a backup plan. He then follows Forrest, Hand and the rest of S.W.A.T. Team 2 into the school, eventually leading them to the secret entrance, which he busts open with a Spin Dash. After Rouge lets out a shriek to disorient Robotnik, Sonic helps his friends smash the EggRobos in the room and orders Robotnik to go down to one of the A/V rooms. When The Wave is over, Sonic walks away with Tails and is congratulated by Captain Davison and Superintendent Coleman for his incredible bravery. However, he turns down the medals that Captain Davison offers him, instead running off to enjoy life.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic cautions the reader not to rely on every piece of information they come across when doing research, recommending that they check secondary sources as well.

Feeling That Way (Anytime)[]

Sonic is in a funk because he read an angry post from Sally on Facebook, and it really got to him. He ignores Rouge's knocking at first, but when she insists upon it, he answers the door and takes his anger out on her. However, he calms down a bit and tells her about that and the fact that Sally ignored his message. Rouge sympathizes with him and gives him a hug. Afterwards, they decide to watch a show together.

A Friend's Day of Remembrance[]

Sonic pays a visit to Rouge, only to be surprised when she seems down. She invites him into her mansion, and with some difficulty, she confesses to being transgender. Though unaware of what that means at first, Sonic is willing to learn more and asks about why Rouge elected to undergo reassignment surgery. Though saddened to hear her story, Ol' Blue assures her that it doesn't matter what she identifies as so long as she treats him with respect. He also calls her the most beautiful woman he's ever met and gives her a hug to calm her down. After Rouge calms down, Sonic offers to find a therapist for her, which she already has. After assuring her that she really is beautiful, Sonic ends up making love with her.

Hugs Change Everything[]

Sonic encounters Shadow taking a walk in Green Grove Zone and informs him that it's National Hug Day. However, the Ultimate Life Form is uninterested in hugging him…that is, until the Blue Blur tells him that he’s not mad at him anymore and that he was giving him a chance to be happy. Thus, Sonic and Shadow hug each other, but Ol' Blue is forbidden from telling anybody. Sonic not only feels good, but also tells Shadow that he's one of the prettiest guys he's ever met. This nearly drives the Black Blur to tears, so Big Blue gives him another hug. Sonic enjoys Shadow's smile, and though a bit reluctant to do so at first, he goes for a walk with him.

Best Hug Ever[]

After running across a frozen-over Azure Lake to a small island, Sonic relaxes in his cabin by watching some TV. Then, Rouge shows up, and they have a nice little chat before she asks him what today is. The Blue Blur has trouble thinking of it at first until he mentions Tails, which reminds him that it's National Hug Day. He guesses that Rouge came over because she wanted a hug, so he agrees to it and gets the best hug he's ever had. Because he's so enthused about it, she gives him another hug. Afterwards, Ol' Blue lets her stay over and watch TV with him.

The Best Thing In His Life[]

Having ran around Azure Lake a few times, Sonic heads back to his cabin and is about to watch TV when Tails shows up. They both sit down on the couch in front of the TV, and Sonic talks about how, in all his adventures, he doesn't say something often enough, which is that Tails is the best thing in his life. He then returns Tails' hug. After the hug, Sonic suggests they watch some TV and eat some BBQ chicken and cheese nachos.

Wir sind Menschen[]

Sonic first appears as a vision in one of Shadow's meditation sessions. He later comes over to Rouge's mansion to hold a disco party in the ballroom and meets Hope. While Hope is getting ready, Sonic and Shadow head to the ballroom. The Blue Blur asks about Hope and is shocked to find out that she's related to Dr. Robotnik. Nevertheless, he promises to keep his mouth shut about it. Once Hope is ready, he acts as the DJ for the party. After the party, Sonic gives Shadow a list of the songs that he played. He also offers backstage passes for a music festival called the International Festival of Community. Later, at the International Festival of Community, Sonic introduces Hope to the rest of his friends. He rocks out with his band, unaware that somebody has planted a bomb underneath the stage until Shadow informs him after "Children of the Grave". Ol' Blue is shocked, and after they get off stage, he is even more shocked when Shadow hugs him. Nevertheless, he returns it with a smile on his face, figuring that Shadow actually likes him now.

Sonic, What Are You Doing?[]

Sonic – now a student at Acorn High School in Emerald City – is unhappy about going to school because his usual History teacher is on vacation and Coach Leatherneck - his uber-strict gym teacher - is substituting. The Blue Blur laughs when Coach Leatherneck calls out Ronald Butkus' name, which earns him 50 push-ups. That aside, Sonic - along with his other classmates - is assigned a project on the Great War. At lunch, he discusses the project with Tails, with whom he's partnered. Knuckles also asks for the Chaos Emeralds back, which he's forgotten.

After school, Sonic plays a video game to cool off, and then gets a neat idea for the project: kill Genrikh Bolshov to prevent the war from happening so that him and Tails will be the only ones to get an "A" on the project. Tails dislikes the idea, but Ol' Blue bribes him with chili dogs if he helps him out. The Two-Tailed Wonder accepts, but only if Sonic won't hold him responsible for goofs in the space-time continuum or their personal histories.

Once he finishes his homework, Sonic goes to a used car dealership with Tails and buys a Lada. While not very into the car, he knows that it's better to go incognito for where he's going. While not enthused about having to bounce around the West End for the parts needed, Big Blue's patience is rewarded with chili dogs and a Coke. Contrary to his presumption, Sonic doesn't need to obtain plutonium to run the time circuits.

While Tails works on the time machine, Sonic takes a crash course on the Roseinian language and culture. After Tails finishes the time machine, the Blue Blur paints it and grabs his M65 field jacket for the cold Roseinian weather. Then, he drives through Diamond Dust Zone and travels to the Roseinian Empire before the Great War. Upon arriving in the capital of Nakagrad, Sonic accidentally blurts out the plan and is nearly arrested by agents of the Unified State Political Bureau. However, Shadow - a girl in this story - saves him, though she rejects not only his thanks, but also an offer to go out for drinks with him. After contacting Tails, Sonic takes the time machine and escapes Nakagrad before any more threats show up.

Sonic's next jump takes him to the Kingdom of Mobius, albeit during the time when Artemis Acorn was King. After concealing the time machine in some foliage, he heads for Emerald City and disguises himself as a royal messenger before infiltrating the Royal Palace. Upon encountering Artemis and his wife Hilda, he learns of a prophecy of a great hero who will rise up and lead the Kingdom to victory in the greatest of all wars. Ol' Blue wonders if the hero can turn into a dragon and then wonders why he hasn't ever been able to do so, eventually chalking it up to a family member being uncool. With this hypothesis, he contacts Tails again and requests that he check Ancestry.com for more info. Before he can make another jump, however, Silver - also a girl in this story - accosts him and warns him against further meddling with the space-time continuum. Sonic pretends to back down, which buys him some time. However, he's really just jumping to his next point in time: Emerald City during the Great War. Here, he visits his father Jules, who creates video games. Intrigued, Sonic wants to try one, but Jules forbids it out of fear of rejection. Nevertheless, Sonic persists and uses the lure of money, power, fame and women to get Jules to let him try it. Big Blue plays whatever he can and has a good time in spite of the game's imperfections, thus renewing Jules' confidence.

For his next jump, Sonic goes back to Nakagrad and cuts down a bunch of guards in the Kremlin, and then activates a video camera on his watch to film the upcoming battle. However, when he reaches Genrikh Bolshov, the mad dictator removes his mask to reveal that he's really Richard Nixon. The Blue Blur has a huge laughing fit upon hearing Nixon say "welcome to die" and nearly gets stabbed by a katana. Sonic then attempts to retaliate by trying to transform into a dragon, but nothing happens. Instead, he has to flee for his life. Then, Tails encourages him to use the Chaos Emeralds, and he transforms into Super Sonic. After a brutal battle, Nixon is defeated, and Sonic is free to make one last jump to his time.

Back in his own time, Sonic is eager to submit the project, but Tails insists that they cool off on it until it's due. When the big day comes, Sonic and Tails show off the video that Sonic captured, but Coach Leatherneck flunks them. He does, however, spare the duo from being transferred to another school, although they still have to go to detention and do push-ups the entire time. After detention, Sonic laments the pointlessness of their work, but regains his spirit when Tails mentions chili dogs. Just then, Shadow and Silver show up, obviously angry at Sonic for meddling with time and space. He offers a threesome to them, but they reject his offer, and he runs away with Tails.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic says that if one is going to build a time machine into a car, then it should be done with style. However, he is interrupted by the arrival of Silver in a DeLorean and is bemused by her order to come back with her to the future.

Featured[]

Sonic arrives at Rouge's mansion with some interesting news: the Wikipedia article on bats is a featured article. They celebrate by giving each other a hug, after which she agrees to let him stay over and watch a movie with her.

Deep Down Inside[]

Sonic is running through the Great Forest when he discovers Shadow sitting on a log with a pistol in his lap. At first, he thinks Shadow's about to kill someone, but the Ultimate Life Form disproves it, which leads the Blue Blur to deduce that he's going to kill himself. Sonic offers to talk with him about it and asks a few questions about why he feels like killing himself. He agrees with Shadow's assessment that most heavy metal groups aren't deliberately racist or sexist and receives praise for educating himself rather than listening to misguided emotions. Sonic assures Shadow that nothing he did was his fault and lets him know how much he means to him and all his other friends. When Shadow breaks down crying, Sonic gives him a hug. After the hug, Big Blue praises the Black Blur for turning over a new leaf after they first met, which brightens his mood so much that they flirt with each other, which leads to Shadow nibbling his ear. After this, Sonic offers to take him out for dinner and out to a local disco after that.

Sonic's Halloween Joke[]

On Halloween, Sonic dresses up as Captain America and heads to Rouge's mansion, where he meets Omega, whose pop culture databanks got screwed up by a virus, and Shadow, who threatens him with a machine gun. However, Rouge orders Shadow to lower his weapon, and afterwards, she and Sonic come inside. The Blue Blur tells Rouge a Halloween joke, which she thinks is so lame that she tickles him. However, she stops after he agrees to 1. Stop telling her corny jokes, 2. Help her hand out candy, 3. Watch a scary movie with her, 4. Spend the night with her, and 5. Go to the pharmacy with her tomorrow and buy surplus candy. They then hug each other and get ready for the oncoming trick-or-treaters.

Sonic Tells the Truth to Amy[]

At Seaside Hill Zone, Sonic is glomped by Amy, which is fortunate for him because he wanted to explain why he runs from her love all the time. According to him, he likes being with her, but is afraid that if he goes out with her, then things will get screwed up if they end up breaking off the relationship. However, she assures him that he couldn't screw things up, and they kiss. Afterwards, they go out to Joey's Pizza.

Stunt Rock[]

Sonic is a top movie stuntman and lead singer/lead guitarist for the rock band Sonic and the Diesel Cats. However, he also moonlights as a car thief in his hometown of San Santos. During a shoot for the movie Danger Lives Nearby, Sonic receives a pair of Super Gloves from Tails – one of his fellow stunt performers – and tests them out by punching a blown-up van. He also gives a backstage pass to Amy – another one of his fellow stunt performers – for a rock show that him and his band are doing at a local bar & grill. After the show, Sonic is arrested by Detective Silver the Hedgehog of the San Santos Police Department for stealing a Mustang, but Silver agrees to let him off the hook if he agrees to take down a notorious car thief named Shadow the Hedgehog. Despite Silver's warning about nobody coming back alive for trying to investigate Shadow, the Blue Blur is undeterred and accepts the assignment. He even finds Shadow attractive enough that he pleasures himself while thinking about him. Before bed, Sonic invites Tails to help him take down Shadow, and Tails is reluctant to do so, but when Ol' Blue promises that any cars they steal will be returned to their owners, he accepts.

The next day, after mulling over how best to find Shadow, Sonic attempts the world's highest unsupported freefall from a building for that day's movie shoot. He survives, but Silver – who'd been invited to the set – calls him crazy for doing so. Sonic then invites Silver to a charity rock show at a local high school and gives him a second backstage pass for his friend Blaze. In spite of Silver's warning, Sonic exits the school after the show and attempts to steal a black 1970 Trans Am. In doing so, the car's owner holds him at gunpoint, and he is none other than Shadow. Sonic begs for his life, and Shadow spares him, but on the condition that they take a ride together. Shadow gives Sonic an assignment: steal 50 cars by next Sunday for a rich client. He also gives Big Blue a business card for an auto repair shop that he runs as a front for his operations. After being dropped off, Sonic calls Knuckles and invites him, and also leaves a message for Amy.

Having assembled a crew, Sonic heads to Shadow's auto shop, where they meet Shadow and his assistant Rouge. Sonic and his crew write down the list of cars that they have to steal. For his first theft, Sonic accompanies Tails in attempting to steal a 1972 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 limo codenamed "Karen". They accidentally set the car's alarm off, but they manage to bring it back to the assigned warehouse without getting caught. After doing some stunt work for the movie Don’t Dial That Number, Sonic and Tails steal a 1971 Ford Capri codenamed "Nicole". They also steal a few more cars and do some more stunt work. That night, Sonic and the rest of the Diesel Cats perform at the "Monsters of Rock" festival at the Bourbon a Go Go nightclub, where a promoter invites them to open for a rock concert at the Maplewood Bowl. Initially, Sonic is unconvinced, but after reading some testimonials for the guy, he accepts the invitation. That night, Sonic comforts an anxious Tails before going to bed.

Upon seeing Rouge the next day, Sonic receives word that Shadow is happy with their work. She also invites him to a barbecue at her mansion, and he accepts, even offering to bring the band over. While having lunch at another movie shoot, Sonic invites Amy, who is nervous because Rouge has apparently been flirting with her. He calms her down, and also invites Knuckles and his other band members to the barbecue.

At Rouge's place, Sonic sits down at a picnic table and is flustered when Shadow accidentally brushes up against him while switching places with Amy. Eventually, the band arrives, and Sonic introduces them. After a fight between Amy and Shadow, Sonic is surprised to see Shadow blushing. Soon, Espio talks in private with Sonic about how he doesn't trust Shadow, and Sonic tells him about the operation, even telling him to pay attention to a 1978 Trans Am codenamed "Eleanor". After the meal, Sonic and the Diesel Cats play some tunes for Shadow, Rouge and the other guests, even playing some heavy metal when Shadow demands it. After the show, Sonic offers backstage passes to Shadow and Rouge for tomorrow night's show at the Maplewood Bowl. Once he leaves Rouge's mansion, Sonic has a chat with his friends – even getting shoved by Knuckles at one point – and also accepts an offer to go out to Chili's with Amy. Later that night, when questioned by Tails about why he reacted funny around Shadow, Sonic brushes it off as simple awkwardness.

After doing some more stunt work the next day, Sonic is shocked when Shadow threatens to kill Knuckles for stealing a Cadillac Eldorado that's not only not on the list, but also filled with heroin. However, the Blue Blur is relieved when Shadow spares Knuckles. After some more car thefts and stunt work, Sonic meets up with Amy at a Chili's in Imblewood. Initially, they have a good time, but when Sonic confesses his crush on Shadow, Amy gets upset and runs away crying. After this, Sonic feels bad and is unsure if he wants to go on with tonight's show, but after a hug from Tails, he gets on with it. After their set, Sonic goes to the bathroom, only to be confronted by Shadow, who somehow knows about his crush. When the Ultimate Life Form kisses him, Ol' Blue is shocked at first, but nevertheless gives in to his desire to be with him. However, when he gets back home, Sonic is in shock from what Shadow did to him, but is nevertheless grateful to have Tails to talk to. While sleeping, Sonic has a nightmare about Shadow killing him and hopes that the Black Blur won't find out about his true intentions too soon.

The next day, Sonic confesses his crush on Shadow to Tails, who is surprised. When they get to the auto repair shop, Sonic notices that Rouge isn't too happy, and when she tells him about Shadow's bad mood, Sonic decides to make things right, much to Rouge's chagrin. At first, Shadow is angry at Sonic, but then breaks down crying when he realizes just how lonely he is. Though shocked to see Shadow crying, Sonic comforts him as best as he can and even accepts the Black Blur's offer of companionship. He even lets Shadow and Rouge attend that day's movie shoot. At the set, Sonic apologizes to Amy for making her cry, and she accepts the apology. After performing a stunt that shocks Shadow, Sonic assures him that he’s all right and invites everyone to Dairy Lord for lunch, even paying for everybody's food. When Knuckles comes in and tries to punch Shadow, Sonic assures Rad Red that the Ultimate Life Form is in a better mood.

After lunch, Sonic has a race with Shadow and accepts his offer to go out to dinner with him. While having supper, Sonic has a good time in spite of Shadow's heavy-handed attempts at flirting. After supper, they watch the sunset, though Sonic is flustered when Shadow nibbles his ear. On the other hand, he enjoys when Shadow scratches in front of his ear and makes him purr. Sonic also accepts Shadow's offer to come back to Rouge's place and spend the night. He also enjoys taking a shower with Shadow, but is flustered when the Ultimate Life Form washes his crotch and tickles him. Even so, Sonic enjoys Shadow's company.

In spite of being in love with Shadow, Sonic is shocked when the Ultimate Life Form nibbles his ear the next morning. At breakfast, Sonic becomes concerned when Rouge mentions Maria and Shadow becomes sad. After hearing Shadow's story, Sonic gives him a hug, and after Rouge has a group hug, Big Blue not only offers them backstage passes for a concert at the Imblewood Forum that the Diesel Cats are playing at, but also gives them the opportunity to be extras in the movie he's working on. After accepting another hug from Rouge, Sonic heads to the San Santos Memorial Coliseum for a motocross scene. After finishing the scene, he checks up on Tails and also tells Amy about how much fun he had with Shadow. For lunch, Sonic spends time with Shadow at a local café, where Silver bumps into them. When Silver gets angry at Sonic for dating Shadow, Sonic makes fun of him and has his freedom threatened. However, Sonic manages to convince Silver that he'll have Shadow brought in ASAP and also tells him about Eleanor.

After some more car thefts, Sonic takes everyone down to the Armandson Theatre to see a show by Joe Johnson's Kenpo Karate Team. After the show, Sonic comes back to Rouge's place, and Shadow gives him a massage. Then, after his set at the Forum, Sonic is accosted by Kaitlynn Tatler, an employee of Special Stage Records. She offers the band a $50,000 advance if they sign to a five-album deal with their label. After some deliberation, Sonic accepts, and he orders $40,000 to be donated to a local breast cancer charity. That night, he snuggles with Shadow and Tails.

The next day, having stolen every other car on the list, Sonic goes to steal Eleanor – who turns out to be a rare variant of the Trans Am called the Macho Trans Am – and leads the SSPD and Elestador Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase, during which Eleanor gets damaged. When he brings the car to Shadow, the Black Blur is unimpressed, so Sonic gets into an argument with him. Then, when Silver calls, Shadow finds out about Sonic's connection to the police, which results in a huge fight. Sonic eventually manages to get the upper hand, but he spares Shadow's life and promises to do everything he can to get him a reduced sentence. Though sad to see Shadow go to prison, Sonic is happy to have earned his freedom and is even happier to see Tails. However, he is nervous when he has to explain to Tails about Eleanor getting damaged.

In the "Sonic Says" segment, Sonic explains the penalties for auto theft and suggests alternatives such as ridesharing or mass transit.

Baby, You're the Best[]

After having fun running around Azure Lake, Sonic goes to play one of his favorite video games, but then decides to go see Tails instead. They go down to the shore of the lake, and after explaining to Tails how much he means to him, Sonic offers to do a slow dance with him. They have a good time, and Sonic jokingly decides to watch chick flicks with Tails. They then go inside.

Saving Mother's Day[]

Sonic is feeling depressed because today is Mother's Day and his real mother died when he was really young. However, Rouge comes along and comforts him, and he offers to take her out to dinner, even promising to pay, but she elects to pay for him instead. At supper, Sonic tells Rouge to call him "Sonny" and asks her to go to the Glitter Palace disco with him. She accepts, and they have a wonderful time dancing.

Terror At the Olympic Games[]

With the Summer Olympics set to come to Emerald City, Sonic trains hard, and about a month before the Games, he is accosted by Rouge, who sets off his Hedgehog Sense by asking about what events he's competing in. He manages to dodge her questions, but expresses his concerns to Tails. After some encouragement from Tails, the Blue Blur pays a visit to Uncle Chuck and borrows Rocky to get a used car for the men's auto polo competition, also chatting with a car salesman while Tails inspects a Chevy Impala that they plan on buying. After bringing the Impala home, Sonic returns Rocky, only to discover Tails crying when he gets back. Sonic learns that Shadow threatened him to try to get information about what events Ol' Blue was planning on competing in. After comforting Tails, Sonic confronts Shadow at Rouge's mansion, only for Rouge to break up the fight and make them huggle. Sonic enjoys the huggle, too. After leaving, Sonic checks up on Tails, only to get a visit from Dr. Robotnik and Snively. Big Blue thinks they're up to no good, but Robotnik assures him that he only wants to cooperate and discusses what events he plans to participate in, including motocross. Sonic even gets a pleasant surprise when he learns that the Mario crew plans to participate. Knowing that Robotnik and Snively are on friendly terms for now, Sonic feels reassured.

When the opening ceremony arrives, Sonic has the time of his life. Sonic also makes an appearance in a nightmare of Shadow's, mirroring an event in Sonic Adventure 2. The next day, Sonic takes part in the first round of men's soccer against the Roseinian Empire, leading his team to victory thanks to a decisive pass to Shadow. After the game, he catches up with Amy, who won a round of softball against Chun-Nan. Then, he gets down at the Glitter Palace disco and meets Mario and Peach. The next day, Sonic plays some basketball against the Federal Republic of Columbia and congratulates Shadow for ending the game by shattering the backboard with his last dunk.

The day after, Sonic wins a rowing competition with Tails and decides that rowing is fun. He also spends time with Mario at the Blitzkrieg Arcade and has fun. Two days later, Sonic and Tails are having breakfast when Knuckles joins them, and Tails speculates that Shadow has a crush on Sonic, which the Blue Blur laughs at. The next day, at Joey's Pizza, Sonic and Tails are joined by Bowser and Bowser Jr. Sonic gives Bowser Jr. his autograph and tells the two Koopas about his rock band. However, he accidentally strikes a sensitive nerve with Bowser when he asks why the Koopa King is always trying to kidnap Princess Peach. Nevertheless, Sonic comforts Bowser and gives him his phone number.

The next day, Sonic takes part in the men's 10,000m event and barely beats Shadow, whom he congratulates after the race. He is weirded out by Shadow’s embarrassment, but otherwise thinks nothing of it. Later in the day, Sonic is eating at Joey's with Amy when they are joined by Luigi and Daisy. Initially, things go well, but then Sonic accidentally makes Amy cry by saying that he sees her as no more than a friend, which makes him feel depressed and also causes him to have a nightmare about Amy trying to kill him. Because of this, he gets poor sleep and orders a coffee at the next day's breakfast, when him and Tails are joined by Wario and Waluigi. Initially, Sonic is happy to hang out with them, but is repulsed when Wario lets out a huge burp.

The next day, Sonic is part of Tails' pit crew during the men’s Moto2 race. After the race, he has a chance meeting with Shadow, who runs away upon seeing him, thereby making him wonder. The day after that, Sonic and Tails are not only joined by Robotnik and Snively for breakfast, but also by Roseinian motocross champion Grigoriy Shvartsman. While honored to meet him, Sonic also brags about being The Fastest Thing Alive. During the men’s Open class motocross race, Sonic initially has a tough time against Shvartsman, but with enough persistence, he emerges victorious. He also congratulates Shvartsman and Robotnik on their efforts.

Sonic is taking part in men's auto polo the next day with Tails, Robotnik and Snively, facing off against Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Bowser Jr. He prefers an aggressive – perhaps even reckless – style of driving, which freaks out Tails, but nevertheless helps Mobius to beat the Mushroom Kingdom. However, it also earns him a slap from Tails. The big moment of this day, however, is when Shadow asks to dance with Sonic at the Glitter Palace. Ol' Blue accepts, and he has the time of his life. When Shadow finally admits his love for Sonic, Big Blue is elated that his own crush is being reciprocated, but is concerned when Shadow breaks down crying. Nevertheless, he comforts the Ultimate Life Form and fixes him a glass of warm milk upon returning to the Olympic Village. After that, they take a shower, during which Sonic gets tickled. Nevertheless, they have a good time and get a good night's sleep.

Sonic awakes early the next morning because he has to use the bathroom, but his Hedgehog Sense alerts him to danger, so he evacuates before terrorists take over the Olympic Village and kidnap the Mobian Olympic Team. Later, he calls Uncle Chuck, and after that, he heads to the Biltwell Hotel, where members of the Royal Mobian Constabulary are planning a hostage rescue operation. Initially, Lieutenant I Armand Homewood is reluctant to let Sonic in on the operation, but when the Blue Blur points out his knowledge of the Olympic Village, Homewood changes his mind. After giving the Constables a map of the Olympic Village, Sonic disguises himself as a constable and conducts surveillance on the Olympic Village, where he has a chance meeting with Espio, who also escaped the terrorists. After discussing their plan, Sonic waits for the buses carrying the terrorists and hostages to drive off, and then follows the convoy. At Acorn International Airport, Sonic waits for the RMC to strike, and then boards the plane that the terrorists and hostages have taken. The terrorists see through his disguise, and he offers himself as a sacrifice, but Shadow kills a bunch of terrorists while the Constabulary mops up the rest.

After the operation, Sonic is awarded the Royal Medal of Merit during a ceremony at the Coliseum. After the Olympics are done with, Shadow wonders why terrorism is a thing, which puzzles Sonic, too. Nevertheless, Sonic decides that love is the most powerful weapon against terrorism and chooses to dance with Shadow. Later on in August, Shadow pays a visit to Sonic and asks about Knuckles and Tails. Sonic tells Shadow that Knuckles survived, and also asks why he's interested in Tails, even giving him a hug for wanting to apologize to him.

Motorhead[]

Sonic is a Corporal I in the Royal Mobian Constabulary's Interceptor Squad, working out of the Ruby City West command. While investigating an incident where Annalisa Jensen was run off the highway by a black van, he gets a funny feeling that it was the same perpetrator who did the same thing to Amy. However, Knuckles warns him that Deputy Chief Mira Klerx wouldn't take too kindly to him acting on a hunch. He is undeterred, however.

On his next workday, the Blue Blur is summoned to Klerx's office, where he is partnered with Constable I Miles Prower. Initially, he is unenthused about having a partner, but when Prower becomes sad, he relents, and he ends up calling his new partner "Tails". For their first act together, Sonic and Tails stop a speeding driver in a stolen car. Sonic grows to like Tails even more when he learns that the young fox was once enlisted in the Mobian Marine Corps. Sonic pulls over at a roadside restaurant when he sees a black van. When a plate check reveals no wants or warrants, Sonic and Tails go inside and question a couple of people before a hedgehog named Shadow beckons them over and tells them that the driver of that van isn't the suspect they’re looking for.

After leaving the restaurant with Tails, Sonic elects to do some radar patrol, but after at least an hour of nothing important happening, him and Tails go to a sandwich shop in Diamond City, where they overhear a call from Knuckles about a car accident. They head to a hospital in Amethyst Town, where Sonic questions Sarah O'Hannigan before she dies. When Tails becomes depressed over it, Sonic bluntly tells him that stuff like this happens in the military, but nevertheless comforts him with a hug and offers to let the Two-Tailed Wonder come over to his house on their next day off.

Before his next shift, Sonic calls Amy about the time she got run off the road, but learns nothing new. During their next shift, Sonic and Tails not only meet Shadow again, but her partner Ruby, both of whom are freelance insurance investigators. After that, Sonic and Tails question the next crash victim, Cynthia Sheehy, learning that the van had Ruby City license plates. Sonic then relays a call to Annalisa Jensen, who confirms that there was music coming from the van when it ran her off the road, but doesn't remember the genre. After resuming patrol, Sonic admits to Tails that Ruby seemed nice, but that his Hedgehog Sense told him that the bat wasn't who he claimed to be. Ol' Blue then gets a call from Amy, who thinks that the van was playing dubstep. This is confirmed on their next shift, when Sonic pulls over another black van, whose driver informs him that the news and people on Facebook are dubbing the suspect the "Dubstep Driver". After letting the driver go, Sonic responds to another accident with Tails, where Knuckles, Shadow and Ruby are present. Sonic attempts to flirt with Shadow, only for her to reject him. However, after Ruby intervenes, she agrees to go out on a date with Sonic. Sonic and Tails then question the next victim, Layla Hendrix, who tells them that the van is now gray.

On his next day off, Sonic hugs Tails when the latter visits his house and gives him a relaxing massage. After this, they have a barbecue and play video games, during which they also get into a tickle war and end up cuddling. After a movie, they wash up and spend the night together. The next day, Sonic takes Tails out for breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts, but does nothing else of note until he goes out with Shadow, who in spite of being grossed out by him sucking down his chili dogs, actually thinks that Sonic is okay. He then assures her that it’s OK to feel upset if there's something that upsets her and gives her a hug before heading home. The next day, Sonic has been called in for special duty at Lantham Air Force Base, where he gives Amy a ride in one of the Interceptor Camaros on the EVOC course. After he is let go, he meets up with Amy, hugs her and gets only some sleep before his next shift.

At his next shift, Sonic learns that his friend Princess Sally Acorn has been run off the road by the Dubstep Driver, which enrages him to the point where he has an angry outburst in the Squad Room. Klerx then reprimands Sonic for his behavior, but ultimately refrains from punishing him provided that he doesn't make the case personal. He swears on it, and then after an encounter with Knuckles, he gets a call from Ruby, so him and Tails head to a junkyard in a seedy part of Ruby City, where the junkyard's employees tell them about the Dubstep Driver, a hedgehog who used to work for them named Scourge. After lying to Ruby, Sonic heads to Scourge's apartment with Tails, where they meet his landlady Vanilla and also find out just how mentally disturbed Scourge is.

With his Hedgehog Sense telling him that Amy is Scourge's next target, Sonic calls Amy and tries to reach her with lights and siren going. He manages to stop Scourge before he can run Amy off the road, and him and Tails gun Scourge down. Afterwards, Sonic comforts Amy, and when Shadow and Rouge show up, they reveal that they're actually agents for the Royal Criminal Investigation Bureau. Shadow then admits her love for Sonic and kisses him, much to Amy's displeasure. However, Amy and Shadow agree to date Sonic on alternating days, even kissing him at the same time, thereby causing him to faint. Nevertheless, Sonic is happy to have cracked the case.

On a Lonely Winter's Day[]

After going for a run, Sonic is about to start cooking when Rouge arrives at his cabin. She admits to being lonely, and he agrees to have her over for some of his world-famous chili dogs. She does, however, want a few extras for hers, so he rushes out to the grocery store for additional ingredients before cooking. He gets flustered when she flirts with him, but nevertheless enjoys it, even allowing her to bite him. While waiting for the chili dogs to simmer, Sonic and Rouge watch a show. They also discuss Rouge's friendship with Shadow in comparison to what Sonic and Tails have. After supper, Rouge heads home, while Sonic is happy to have been there for her.

Five Tons O' Fun[]

Sonic and Tails call Shadow up to assist them in defending a convoy against the Roseinians using a gun truck that they built themselves. Sonic drives the truck, but is unimpressed with its speed. Nevertheless, he agrees to keep going, and partly thanks to his driving skills, they succeed in defending the convoy. After this, him, Tails and Shadow part ways.

Sonouge: Dinner Date[]

One day, Sonic is playing video games when Tails goes on a junkyard run. Then, Rouge comes over and offers to take Sonic out to dinner. Since she lets him pick the place, he decides to go to Joey's Pizza. Because the cashier recognizes Sonic, both him and Rouge get to eat for free. They end up eating, drinking and flirting with each other, and after the meal, they head back to Sonic's home and kiss each other before parting ways. Tails asks how the date went, and Sonic replies positively before they play some video games.

Another Sonouge Tickle Fic[]

One day, Sonic is relaxing by Azure Lake when Rouge visits him. Suddenly, she tickles him. Despite feeling like he was going to die laughing, the Blue Blur enjoyed it, and also receives a kiss from Rouge. They then hang out together.
