Sonic Riders: Legends (ソニックライダーズ：アルティメットレジェンド -- Sonikkuraidāzu: Arutimettorejendo, lit. Sonic Riders: Ultimate Legends) is the Fourth Installment of the Sonic Riders series. This game takes the best elements from the past 3 titles while including new features. Sonic Riders: Legends is Directed and Co-Written by Sonic Fan HardRoar, Developed by CRIware and Dimps and Published by Sega, Sonic Team, and Bandai Namco. The game is Planned to launch on the Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC around May 2024.
Summary
The EX World Grand Prix returns after being under a Hiatus, This time being hosted by Non other than Honey the Cat along with Omochao, This time around the EXGP is expanded into three divisions, Solos, Duos, and Trios. and teams no longer have the restriction to use one of each type, many new faces enter, among them is the Avatar, who was invited due to his/hers/Their talents but, what lies ahead is more than just competition between many competitors. The Babylon Rogues and Team Heroes recently learned that fragments of the Babylon Garden was discovered all over the world, one of which is as Megalo Station where the Avatar spots and grabs for safe keeping, unaware of what it actually is. The truth about the Babylonians and the parents of the Babylon Rouges will be reviled here.
Gameplay
Character Creation
In Sonic Riders: Legends, You will start off with Creating an Avatar Character along with choosing a Ability type, Gender, Species, so on so forth, This time around Created Avatars have much more options compared to Sonic Forces and are much more in-depth in terms of Customization.
Upon entering Character Creation, You will begin with the following options.
Ability Type Selection
There are 3 ability types that you can choose between, each type caters to different playstyles and grant abilities that specific types exclusively have, which affect which ability shortcut paths you can utilize. Types are listed as follows.

They are not the fastest nor are they very technical, They are overall a balance between speed and handling. | Fly Type characters have the Exclusive ability to use the Fly shortcut paths. Pass through Dash Rings to keep momentum and to keep yourself from falling off course. | Beginner |

Base Gear Chassis/Type Exclusive Gear Chassis Selection
Here is where you select the Chassis for your Starting Ex Gear (Which is a board by default) then depending on your Ability Type, Choose the Chassis for said Gear Type. The Following Gear Types are as follows:

Hub World
The hub world is set within Future City. The birthplace of the first EX World Grand Prix, near the course itself. This is where all the Hub "districts" are and you can explore some portions of the city interact with other players and NPCs
Districts/Areas
There are 5 districts/Areas in all, each district has set features you can access by interacting with specific NPCs within said area, Many are well known faces while some are NPCs created to fill in the void and don't have any other purpose. These districts are: Megalo Station, Market, Downtown, Stadium, and Park
Megalo Station
The Main Entrance, Here is the main social area and where you start off every time you boot up the game. You will find mostly unimportant NPCs here but, you will find Wave and Silver here, both are there to greet you and give you the lowdown on everything you need to know. Silver is your main guide while Wave is there to just mock you. (Not cool wave)
Market
Here is where you can find all of the shops. There are plenty of shopkeepers. You will find Tails, Amy, and Charmy here, all of them will sell items for your created character. whatever you need to get to either customize your character or their gear.
Downtown
This is the main area for many things. Here is where you'll find many official characters. It is also where you find Storm to gain missions and clear so you can get unlockable items
Stadium
This is where all the main races happen. Offline and online. Here is where you'll find Sonic, Shadow, Jet, and Blaze. All are there for different reasons.
Park
The social and where the extra stuff is at. Here is where you can not only interact with other players when in an online lobby, but also challenge unlockable characters.
Shops
In the market area, there are 4 types of shops with item than can be bought with the rings you've collected by completing each race and clearing each mission.

Gimmicks/Items
| Item | Discription |

| Rings | Grants a varied number of bonus Rings in. This number can be 10, 20, 30 or even 100. |
| AP Boost | Replenishes the player's AP Gauge with a varied number of Air Points. This number can be 30, 50, 100 or Max. |
| Magnet Barrier | Forms a blue barrier around the player which attracts nearby Rings towards him/her. |
| Speed Up | Gives the player a sudden boost of speed. |
| Heavy Gear | Hooks the player's Gear with a heavy ball, drastically slowing down the player |
| Explosion | Launches a round bomb that rolls around the track for some time inflicting damage to any opponents the bomb touches. |
| Gear Lock | Prevents the player from activating any Gear Parts and prevents usage of Air (Except Drifting) |
| Chaos Emerald(s) | (Emerald Challenge only) Gemstones that are crucial for specific unlocks, Obtain all seven to unlock a special something. |
