Q1: How are you doing these days? What are your plans for the holidays?
A: I’m doing good. Finally finished with my studies so now I have plenty of time for recreation and self-development. My plans for the holidays? Nothing in particular. I don’t celebrate them. I plan to read a few books I’ve always wanted but never had the time, like David Irving’s Hitler’s War and Manly P. Hall’s The Secret Teachings of All Ages, as well as continue reading Plato’s Republic. I need to get back to writing my blog, finish playing Death Stranding and pick up Sonic Freedom from where I last left it.
Q2: In your eyes, what makes a good Sonic fan character?
A: Their ideology, their principles and their creed. Second their personality and third their backstory. The least important for me is their appearance.
Q3: Biggest inspiration currently (outside and inside the wiki)?
A: My biggest inspiration has always been Hellenism, all the principles that arise from it and all the people who, throughout history have struggled for its prevalence and its dissemination to humanity. I believe that a man without principles for which he is willing to struggle and make sacrifices is a man of no consequence whatsoever. As for inside the wiki I would say is Darkchaos2795's Blue Blur. It is perhaps the work that has captivated me the most in the wiki.
Q4: What do you suggest we do to improve activity in the Sonic Fanon Wiki?
A: There’s not much I can think of doing to improve this place. From my part, this has largely to do with the fact that the Sonic franchise has been dwindling , with games coming out much less frequently than before and being of poorer quality, in addition to having changed their target audience to children while in actuality most people here in SFW are adults. I think if SEGA releases a good Sonic product in the future, be it game, cartoon or comic, we can expect to see more people coming to SFW.
Q5: What are your thoughts on the new Sonic movie design? Do you think that complying with the public backlash is a good thing or a dangerous thing for the industry?
A: I have to admit, it looks much better than the original they gave us before. Still, however, that does not change my overall impression of the film. While I do think it is in general good to comply to public demand, the fact that it cost the industry more than 5 million dollars to rectify their mistakes proves that this can be something more than dangerous.
Q6: Tell me about something that happened to you that is the closest thing to being supernatural.
A: I’ve had the privilege to witness and experience a lot of things that for many people would be perceived as supernatural. Here I will restrict myself to only one example. I’ve witnessed men treated of diseases like trigeminal neuralgia, multiple sclerosis and leukaemia, children treated of autism with such extraordinary results that would have modern day physicians pulling their hair off in denial and utter disbelief.
Q7: What is the best thing that happened to you recently?
A: : Graduating from medical school.
Q8: On the philosophical side, do you believe in subjective truths, or do you think there are some things
that are absolutely true?
A: I believe in only one truth and that truth can set you free. I also believe that truth, once documented and proven can make one become dangerous. I do not believe in many different truths and I do not believe that truth is subjective. Some truths are absolute and some truths are to never be handed out to the profane because truth is not always comprehensible by the many.
Q9: What is the number one thing you think Sonic Team should do to make better Sonic games?
A: : Fire the entire staff that has been working on Sonic games since 2010, starting with the writers. Hire new minds that are eager to offer something fresh, something new to the Sonic franchise.
Q10: Which Sonic game would you like the most to be remade and why?
A: Although Sonic Heroes
remains my favourite Sonic game to date, I would give this distinction to Sonic Adventure
. With the new technology that we have today, I believe Sonic Adventure
can achieve its full potential as an open-world action game with exhilarating stages, a revamped Chao Garden and a final battle against Perfect Chaos reminiscent to fighting the Leviathan in Final Fantasy XV
. Maybe they could remake both Sonic Adventure 1
and 2 and launch them as a single game.
