Sonic Adventure 3: Project E.G.G is the 3rd installment in the Sonic Adventure series. This game takes place 5 months after the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II.

Plot
Months after his failed Death Egg Mk. II, Dr. Eggman clones himself with added Chaos Energy, in hopes of defeating Sonic. His new clone is Mecha Chaos Eggman, and it has 2 times Eggman's IQ (600). When Dr. Eggman announces he will attack New Station Square with Mecha Chaos Eggman, Sonic and friends have to do all they can to stop him. Little do they know that Dr. Eggman has released Chaos once more. Will Eggman pull the final blow and defeat Sonic? Or will the heroes prevail? Find out in this exciting installment!
Gameplay
Not much has changed since Sonic Adventure 2, but Shadow's gameplay is simillar to his Shadow the Hedgehog gameplay. The boss fights are in a 3D RPG-type style, with you going first, and the boss second. The first bosses have 2900 HP, the second have 3000 HP, and the final have 10000 HP.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic's speed has increased, and he is skillful against bosses. His Super Peel Out returns, as well as his Spin Dash. His attacks are effective, and his HP starting out is 4000. His final HP is 9999
Sonic's attacks
Normal
- Homing Attack -240 HP: Sonic homes in on his target and may counter attack.
- Spin Dash -100 HP: Sonic counters his enemy with a Spin Dash.
- Boost - 799 HP: Sonic boosts into his enemy and then air boosts in midair twice to counter.
- Super Peel Out -1000 HP: Sonic speeds into his enemy three times for major damage
- Foot Swipe -100 HP: Sonic spins his feet around to attack.
Chaos Energy
- Chaos Arrow -400 HP *requires 30 Chaos Points*: Sonic shoots three Chaos Arrows at the enemy.
- Chaos Control (Stops enemy from attacking for 3 turns): The enemy is frozen within time. However much damage Sonic does to him is effective after the 3 turns.
- Hyper Peel Out -2000 HP *requires 100 Chaos Points*: Sonic's Super Peel Out attack is more effective using this move.
- Super Boost -1598 HP *requires 200 Chaos Points*: Sonic doubles his Boost attack and air boosts four times.
Miles "Tails" Prower
Tails' twin tails come handy in even the toughest situations. His skills from Sonic Adventure return.

Sonic's Story
Cutscene #1: Enter Mecha Chaos Eggman!
New Station Square, Midnight
It was a quiet night in New Station Square. The original had been destroyed by Perfect Chaos, and then again by the Black Comet. A dark blue hero stood atop a large skyscraper. Who was he? It was Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of Mobius. "Aw yeah!" shouted Sonic,"It's good to be back in Station Square." Sonic looked down only to see frightened citzens and police cars with sirens blaring. "Huh?" Sonic said,"Must be another Eggman attack." Sonic then boosted across buildings to the district where the police cars were headed. When he arrived, he saw Eggman and a robot that looked like him. "Citzens of New Station Square," Eggman shouted through a blowhorn,"You will be evacuated from your homes in months by my newest creation, Mecha Chaos Eggman!" He didn't notice Sonic, that is until Mecha Chaos Eggman noticed him. "Master, I see that flithy hedgehog," Mecha Chaos Eggman said. "Gah!!" Dr. Eggman shouted,"Sonic! Mecha Chaos Eggman,atttaccckkk!!!!" "Let's play!" Sonic shouts before charging at Mecha Chaos Eggman.
Boss #1: Mecha Chaos Eggman V.01
Sonic goes first, and then Mecha Chaos Eggman. Here are Mecha Chaos Eggman's attacks.
- Chaos Tri-Spear -1000 HP.
- Heal +2000 HP.
- Chaos Control (Moves do less damage)
- Chaos Unleashed -2000 HP.
- Wrist AK-47 -20 HP
Cutscene #2: A Hero's Deed
After defeating Mecha Chaos Eggman, Sonic remarks "Not a bad toy,but playtime's over, Eggman!". "No!" Eggman shouts,"It had to defeat you! Next time, you'll be sorry, you horrid hedgehog!" Eggman then flew away with Mecha Chaos Eggman hanging from a crane Eggman had attached. Sonic decided it was best to leave Eggman alone and go tell Tails what had happened.
Adventure Field #1: New Station Square
If you remember correctly from the original Sonic Adventure, Tails' lab is in Mystic Ruins. Before heading to Chaos Train Station, head to the sewers near where you battled Mecha Chaos Eggman V.01. You'll find the Hover Jet Sneakers. Get out by using the Hover Jet Sneakers to fly up the sewage pipe to the arena where you battled the first boss. Then head to the train station.
Adventure Field #2: Mystic Hills
Upon arrival in Mystic Hills, you'll see some explosions coming from Tails' lab. Before heading up there, go onto the second floor of the train station to find the 1st Emblem. Once you've done that, head to Tails' lab to see what's up.
Cutscene #3: Enter Tailnik, the Tall Mech!
Sonic enters Tails' lab, only to find that one of Tails' inventions has gone beserk. "Tails,"Sonic shouts to Tails,"What happened?" "Eggman came by and made my Mech go beserk!" Tails shouted back. Then Tailnik (the mech) turned around and said;"Hedgehog, Priority One, Must elimenate!". Sonic had to fight one of his friends' inventions, tough.
Boss #2: Beserk Tailnik
Again, you'll go first, and then Tailnik. Tailnik's attacks are simillar to Tails', so watch out.
Here are his attacks.
- Tail Swipe -300 HP.
- Ground Pound -1000 HP.
- Eight Punchs -2800 HP.
- Ground Punch -2000 HP.
- Chaos Control (Weakens Attacks)
Cutscene #4: An Escaped Mech and Cloned Eggman.
Tailnik escapes before Sonic can attack again, and flys towards the Egg Carrier DX.
