Sonic: Adventures of the Blue Blur (abbrv. Sonic:AotBB or Sonic:AOTBB or just AOTBB) is an episodic serial fanfiction written by Nexter45. It focuses on the main game series characters, including Mighty the Armadillo. It completed it's first Season on August 9 of 2014. A single document version was released on AO3 on August 19. It features no changes save for the omission of the majority of the Author's notes.
Overview[]
After one year of uninterrupted peace, Sonic and his friends are attacked by Metal Sonic. Sonic is also combating an evil entity that has taken root within him. After tracking Metal to Prison Island and finding out most of his friends are kidnapped, Sonic rushes in to save them. In a twist of coincidences, Sonic believes his friends dead causing him to transform into Dark Sonic. Dark Sonic easily dispatches Metal and is about to go on a world-wide rampage when his friends arrive and stop him. He then decides in the following months to go train in the mountains. He also urges that everyone else also goes and trains for two years all around the world, to prevent one calculated attack on the group as a whole. As they all go off to train, Eggman is seen monitoring them and vows to take Sonic's new power and finally achieve his dream of making Eggmanland.
Season 1 Character List[]
Sonic the Hedgehog: The intrepid hero who has found out that he has an evil force known only as Dark Sonic inside him. Dark Sonic was mentioned in Episode 2 and revealed in Episode 4.
Miles "Tails" Prower: The genius side-kick/brother to Sonic the Hedgehog. He is revealed to have a unique friendship with Shadow, the only one of his friends that calls him Miles. He is shown to be very loving and very quick on his toes, managing to turn the original Miles Electric into an EMP in Episode 7.
Knuckles the Echidna: The Brawn of Team Sonic and proud protector of the Master Emerald. He throws a party on Angel Island in Episode 1 to commemorate one year of peace. Though not actually mentioned, he was the first to be kidnapped by Metal Sonic.
The Chaotix: The Chaotix are a hectic bunch, but adept at combat, as shown in Episode 6 (which was written by Key and Lock).
Mighty the Armadillo: A natural born pacifist, when it comes to living things. He has no qualms when it comes to destroying robots, however. He was traveling the world, learning new techniques.
Shadow the Hedgehog: The Ultimate Life-form. Shadow has developed feelings for Amy Rose. He is shown to have developed many feelings, but still tries to remain cool around others. He is also shown to have some sort of per-cognition ability, picking up on Metal's upcoming plans before he made his first move (See Episode 2's dream sequence).
Rouge the Bat: The treasure hunter. She and Knuckles have a mutual crush, but the situation with the Master Emerald gets in the way. Shadow's confidant.
E-123 Omega: A cold machine with a heart of gold.
Amy Rose: The bubbly pink hedgehog with a crush on Sonic. She decides to train with Shadow in Episode 10.
Big the Cat: The childish purple cat.
Cream and Cheese: The little rabbit and her Chao. Polite, and an excellent flyer.
Metal Sonic: Plotting to destroy Sonic. Kidnaps everyone save for The Chaotix, Mighty, Shadow, Sonic, and Tails. Destroyed by Dark Sonic in Episode 9
Eggman: Planning on taking Sonic's power. First appearance in the Season finale (Episode 10).

Easter Eggs and Fun Facts[]
Dark Sonic is loosely based on the Nine-Tailed Fox from Naruto.
In Episode 2, during Shadow's dream sequence, a T.V. mentions Dragon Ball Z. This is poking fun at the similarities between Sonic and Dragon Ball Z.
Based in a world where all games, save the Storybook series and '06, have happened.
