The Interview[]
|1=# Q1: What is Solomon’s relationship with his father Sullivan?
- A) They had a very loving relationship and were quite close. Part of why Solomon joined the Freedom fighters was to make him proud.
# Q2: Is his story as member of the Freedom Fighters during his youth inspired by any real-life events?
- A) I don't think so? Maybe unintentionally^^
# Q3: What is Solomon’s greatest weakness?
- A) I'd say his overconfidence sometimes. He is very proud of his abilities and sometimes underestimates others.
# Q4: Solomon looks quite young for his age. How does he keep in such a good shape?
- A) Luck I guess? Haha. His father comes from a clan that are quite long lived, so I guess it comes from there.
# Q5: Why was his family kidnapped and what was Project Sonic Reborn?
- A) Project Sonic Reborn was a rogue organisation's plan to recreate Team Sonic as supersoldiers subservient to them. Spikes happened to be the perfect Speed candidate, due to being faster than most hedgehogs his age. The kidnappers figured he would be more willing to cooperate if they held his family hostage.
# Q6: What has been Shadow’s role in Solomon’s path?
- A) Shadow was a good friend of his father. This, coupled with his power and the fact that he used it for others, made Solomon respect and look up to him. While Sullivan inspired him to become a Freedom Fighter, Shadow inspired him to become Surge the Hedgehog. After proving his worth himself, the black and red hedgehog also had the same attitude towards Solomon. He is also extremely grateful to him for protecting his sister.
# Q7: Has any of his children inherited any of his powers?
- A) Much to his chagrin, Spikes nor Silvia manifested any psychic powers. (Silvia will later be able to use some to some extent, after a transfusion from her brother gives her powers)
# Q8: What are the roots of Solomon’s vendetta with Nega?
- A) His father's death. Eggman Nega was the mastermind behind the outlawing of the Freedom Fighters and vigilantism in general. However due to Baxter and Sullivan's charisma, Nega knew this could be quickly overturned and planned to get rid of them. Faking a distress call to get the Freedom Fighters where he wanted, he framed them as terrorists and had GUN troops out there to kill them. Due to them not wanting to kill the soldiers, Nega's plan succeeded. Solomon came to know all this when he was being used as a living computer.
# Q9: What happens to Solomon “10 years later”?
- A) Well, in those times he is still number two in GUN, but he has taken a less active role on the field. He's also a happy grandfather and trains his nephew Silver in his spare time.
# Q10: How has Jane supported him throughout the years? Has she always stood next to him?
- A) She was his "rock". While they could sometimes argue over his care free attitude vs her no nonsense attitude, in the end they could always count on eachother. The absence of his father and sister affects Solomon more than he lets on and in those times it's a bit too much, she's there to comfort him. It was very difficult for her to part with him when he began his crusade, being continuously worried until he finally returned home.
