A hybrid technique, Smogscreen has the benefits of both of it's parent techniques, but at the same time, their same weaknesses.
Description[]
The user releases a thick, foul-smelling cloud of gas, typically stated to be black, dark green, gray or purple. This gas cloud can be released through the mouth as a thicker wall of smoke, or through the nostrils (or backside) for a much more narrow area. Like Smog, it can poison any who inhale the gas. However, unlike Smog, the technique is long-lasting, with a thick color and tendency to hang around shared with Smokescreen, lowering accuracy.
However, the advantages of the technique, though numerous, are matched by it's weaknesses. Like both parent techniques, the gas cloud can be dissipated by Wind attacks, which can part the toxic gases for travel and thin them so that vision isn't impaired. Most sensory techniques are unaffected by the obscuring effect, while the gas itself reacts explosively with Fire. Poison wielders and most artificial or cybernetically-enhanced beings are immune to the poisoning effects.
