A tall, broad and powerful crocodile, Shinzo is known for his red scales and blue-black spine spikes, plus his massive, meaty palms. His eyes are known to change color, from sea-green in his normal state to a bright yellow in his shifted form.

Shinzo dresses simply, with a bronze t-shirt, tan gloves, black pants and electric-blue sneakers, but the most outstanding feature of his attire is his mechanical wings. Built from black steel and connected to a brace designed to conform to his back, these wings typically adorn Shinzo when he's on duty.

Shinzo possesses the genetic ability Form Change, which allows him to switch between two forms, each of which characterized by a change in eye color, plus a different set of powers and fighting styles.

In his standard form, Shinzo uses reasonably high-level Hydrokinesis, backed up with Crystakinesis, in a defensive and support style, focusing on healing and defending his allies than offense. As such, while he knows multiple aggressive moves, his combat prowess is less evident in this form, although he is skilled at battling multiple opponents at once with his staff.

However, in his shifted form, Shinzo uses high-level Pyrokinesis, supported with Venokinesis, in a highly offensive combat style, stitching together a wall of moves thicker than most can fend off, which includes physical and ranged strikes with both elements and his body & staff.

In order to defeat Shinzo, one has to read his forms. In his standard defensive side, he can defend against most techniques with ease, although Light and Electrical techniques pose reasonable threats. By contrast, his offensive side is a lot easier to defeat, should you manage to land a hit through his offensive barrage. Earth attacks are especially effective against this form.

However, despite all the odds against him, Shinzo is also capable fighting in the air, using his mechanical wings. This makes Earth-based attacks suffer in accuracy and effectiveness, and makes all of his ranged combat techniques slightly more accurate thanks to altitude.
