“I don’t really do training. I’ll go out just to observe. Maybe have a bit of a run.” - Sally explaining how she spends her time while others train.
'Sally Sillington is a character among the Chaos Ball Productions cast and was created by Fateweaver, more often than not appearing as a friend of Devoid. She debuted in the 23rd Chapter of "Dragon Ball M: The Humble Beginnings", "AN UNWORLDLY HEDGEHOG!" and making subsequent appearances in the sequel "Dragon Ball M 2: The Battle For Time & Space", the short stories "The Hunt For A Super Famicom" and "Sally Sillington, Alone In Devoid’s TARDIS", "Welcome To The Neighbourhood" & "The Unreliable's Light"'. She currently acts as the communications officer aboard the titular ship.
Background[]
Designed in 2021 as a character to roleplay as, taking inspiration from the cartoons of the 1920s to 1930s, Sally Sillington stated off as a doodle in a sketch book. She continued to be that way, slowly evolving to be more than just a joke. Her backstory being more fleshed out as time went along. That was until an Original Character Tournament called The Murder on the OCT Express caught her creator's attention. he submitted her and made it through the majority of the Tournament, developing her from the weekly questions in the character questions section. In his mind, she sounded a bit like Betty Boop, quirky and silly and all around fun. He had to quit early though due to his studies, and he went back to using her in roleplay. He soon met a user by the name of 0Devoid, who roleplayed with him for a while. He decided to join in on another thing that 0Devoid did other than roleplay: make fan fiction. He decided to put Sally in as a companion to the TARDIS with Devoid. He let 0Devoid take the wheel on where to take Sally, but gave him an outline of who she was along with her backstory. She now goes on adventures with Devoid and another Hedgehog named Amir.
Physical Appearance (+ Biology)[]
To understand Sally, you have to understand toon Biology. We start with a frame, this is the skeleton of the toon, over that there is the sketch layer, basically the rough muscles of the toon. Over that is the ink layer, which is basically the skin of the toon. Sally has white skin, a mole to the upper-right of her lip, and a big black afro with a small tuft near her face. She also wears purple or Eigengrau lipstick, sometimes red if she is feeling flirty or on a special occasion. She also wears the source of her Ranger Power, the Turbo Brace.
In "Dragon Ball M: The Humble Beginnings" and some early chapters of "Dragon Ball M 2: The Battle For Time And Space", Sally wore a crown with several gems inside and a red dress with pale blue sleeves, along with a pair of gloves with an 'S' stitched onto them, long socks the same colour as her sleeves and black slippers. Before the events of Chapter 12 of "Dragon Ball M 2: The Battle For Time And Space", Sally's outfit changes to one containing a long sleeved yellow shirt along with a white sleeveless hoodie, grey leggings and some relaxing yellow tennis shoes. However, the gloves, Turbo Brace & crown would remain. This outfit would stay throughout the rest of "Dragon Ball M 2: The Battle For Time And Space", "Welcome To The Neighbourhood", "The Unreliable's Light" (with an addition of a silver TNG combadge during TUL) & in the mini-stories she appears in, "The Hunt For A Super Famicom" and "Sally Sillington, Alone In Devoid’s TARDIS". In the latter Mini-Story, Sally dons a shell like cloak & smiley face mask to disguise herself from her past self. In the upcoming "Dragon Ball M 3: Love & Malice", this white & yellow outfit will be replaced sometime during the story with Devoid’s old, but fixed up brown jacket from his first 2 appearances, a red dress coat underneath that, with a plain black sweatshirt underneath, dark purple coloured leggings and faux leather black ankle boots.
Personality[]
Sally isn't your normal princess. She often yearns for adventure (which is why she hopped along into the TARDIS in the first place) and doesn't like sitting around in one place doing nothing. If anything, she's an active woman who tends to have a lot of things to do at one time. She is said to have a bit of knowledge of flying Devoid's TARDIS in case she needs to (or wants to) use it. She hates being in a damsel in distress so much, that it's led to her becoming practical. She is said to have cut rope with a nail file once to save a friend! Sally rarely uses her position of power against anyone (considering she desires for equality), but might do so to appear as an official of some sort.
History[]
Dragon Ball M: The Humble Beginnings[]
After Devoid's TARDIS has a bumpy landing, Sally gets out and chills atop a building and writes in a small journal (it isn't known if she kept updating it after this, it's never shown). However, she doesn't write for long as she gets a text from Devoid. She goes to him and finds out about the plan. As Devoid & Treya build the car, Sally goes and grabs supplies.
Dragon Ball M 2: The Battle For Time & Space[]
As Her, Treya & Devoid stop at a gas station, they meet Seichi Unashi, who joins them to search for something that he doesn't specify. They abandon the wagon as it breaks down and use Devoid's TARDIS to get around instead. After crashing into Najira's head while landing and a small incident on Earth, Sally & crew arrive at Universe 7.5, landing on a desolate planet for a training break and it's around this time that Treya disappears. Sally took this time to change her outfit to the yellow and white one before going out and going for a run.
Afterwards, Sally and her group meet the people who were calling Devoid earlier, due to their similar goals, they team up to find out what's going on. However, this would soon be cut off as they would be thrusted into a battle with Oboro, a mind controlled Minora & a evil copy of Damian. Sally didn't participate in the fight initially, as debris blocked the door to Devoid's TARDIS, which then got severely damaged by time distortions in the area. However, she would evacuate to Damian's TARDIS and started to take part in it.
In Taki Tako City, Sally morphs into Yellow Turbo and uses the B-Bowgun to fight against the corrupted versions of Minora and Damian, along with the commander, Oboro. She fought, but also kept an ear out, allowing for her to learn what Final Flash is. This allows her to do a similar attack by charging a lot of energy into her Turbo Laser in gun mode, which she calls Final Flash Blaster Mode, which destroys Oboro's body. However, the victory was short lived as Devoid delivers the news about Oboro and Natas at the Time Nest. Sally joins the battle with the others and heads to the Time Nest. She participated in the Time Nest Conflict, destroying many of the smaller enemies with Amir that would've overwhelmed the others.
Sally left after properly Devoid's TARDIS was repaired, a month after the conflict.
Welcome To The Neighbourhood[]
Sally & Devoid arrived in the mysterious neighbourhood after the TARDIS malfunctioned, the first person they meet being Howdy. After relative peacetime, mysterious clones started showing up, which made people concerned, including Sally. These worries got to Wally Darling, who talked to Sally about how he felt. Not too long after, Sally & an injured Devoid arrived at Barnaby's house, where he was housing Wally after the incident that wounded both Wally & Devoid. Sally later acted as a guard during Devoid's survey mission into Home, where a clone of Julie escaped. After the clone was destroyed, Sally helped recover the real Julie. This led into a period of downtime, where Wally helped Sally realise she might be in love with Devoid. Afterwards, she was part of a duo with the other Sally in a cooking competition. They didn't win. She spent most of the final battle against Home asleep in Sally Starlet's house, just like the other neighbours sans Devoid & Wally. After the battle, she assisted in the restoration project after the parasite was removed explosively from Wally's house (which is now a regular house). She later departed the neighbourhood with Devoid soon after the restoration.
