Appearance[]
Ryoku is an average height hedgehog with light green quills. On her head is a pattern of three black lines as well, and her ears are also black. She generally wears a dark blue shirt and blue pants, along with a black cape. However, her most distinctive physical trait is the large rod on her left arm. In actuality, it is a removable device that she uses to control the fusion reactions in her power core. Unlike Clock-Watch, she is a synthetic life form, save for the fusion reactor located inside of her chest. Besides that, she is 100% flesh and blood. In terms of height and weight, Ryoku is relatively average for a mid-20's hedgehog (whether that's her actual age or not, nobody knows), though she is a little on the slim side of the spectrum. despite having a fusion reactor in her chest, she still only weighs slightly above average.
Personality[]
Ryoku has the same sense of right and justice the Clock-Watch has, albeit her priorities are generally skewed towards what's best for her, not necessarily others. A trickster by nature, she usually will mess with most people purely for the heck of it. Despite all this, she truly is a kind soul trying to do the right thing. (Though that won't stop her from putting a 'kick me' sign or something stupid like that on your back.)
She knows a lot more about her past than Clock-Watch knows about his, and unlike him, she resents her creators. Part of this is knowing that her creators are indeed the Hyper Division, and another major fact is that they were going to destroy Clock-Watch simply because they were afraid of his potential. Although it seems like Clock operates as the older brother figure, Ryoku is very protective of him; if significant harm befell him, Ryoku's first order of business would be making sure that Clock would turn out all right, and her second would be getting vengeance on whoever caused said harm. When angry, she is not to be trifled with.
History[]
Not much is known about Ryoku's history. She met up with Clock-Watch The Clockwork Hedgehog after he completed his second case as an attorney. She revealed herself as his 'sister', or more specifically, she was created by the same person who had made Clock-Watch. She currently resides with him, and runs her own private investigation firm, located across the hall in the building from Clock-Watch's office.
It was eventually revealed that she was the second prototype of the Hyper Division's Perfect Assassin program, the successor to Clock-Watch. However, she was apparently scrapped when 'an even more desirable option for their project became apparent', according to Ryoku.
Powers[]
Ryoku's power core is a nuclear reactor, allowing her to manipulate fusion and fission. This grants her incredible power at incredible risk, as if overexerted, she could release more energy than her body can handle, which could kill her. However, she cannot control the immense power of fusion without the rod she carries around. It allows her to focus her powers into a single point or ray. She also needs it to regain her energy, as she does not require food, but fusion energy for her body to function. She needs to drink water to power her fusion reactor, however. Normally, it can synthesize water from ambient molecules in the air, but this is only a backup, and she is usually seen with a few water bottles on hand in case some physically taxing function leaves her dehydrated. If low enough on water, Ryoku will pass out and fall into a hibernation-like state and synthesize water from the air to recover.
Skills[]
- Fusion Buster- A common attack for Ryoku to use, however she usually uses a weaker version to prevent widespread destruction.
- Meltdown- A technique where she releases a lot of energy around herself in an explosive wave.
- Electron Phaser- By manipulating electrons, she can stun her opponent with electricity.
- Terranean Sun- One of her most powerful techniques. It is only usable in areas that have a large quantity of ambient hydrogen in the air. By using said hydrogen, Ryoku is capable of creating a miniature star, even creating a small field of gravity to pull people towards it. On command, she can cause the sphere of energy to explode.
- Quark Snap- Easily her most powerful attack. By immense focus, she is able to use her atomic powers to split a quark, one of the smallest particles. This results in a massive explosion. Sometimes she freezes the opponent with an Electron Phaser first. It looks like she's just snapping, but she's actually very focused, and using a lot of energy. The attack is actually so powerful, she generally passes out after using it, in order to conserve energy.
Trivia[]
- The rod attached to her left arm is based off of Utusho Reiuji's, a Touhou Project character with similar powers. However, Utusho's is on her right arm.
