Spectating[]

Tina Dante the grey-furred bat wore her usual attire, but she decided to ditch her glasses. She was yelling out encouraging messages for White, trying to make him feel happy before the match. He was really excited about it, so she had high hopes for him.

Jeremy Hawkes, a dark blue mongoose and one of Reens' friends, sat in the stadium, his leg shaking in anxiety. While this was only a quick spar, he hated the sight of blood, and was incredibly squeamish. He looked down at his notebook and doodled a few quick pictures, trying to get his mind off of it. Reens' boyfriend, a red tenrec named Leonidas Campbell, sat next to him, his eyes fired with excitement. He was stoked to see his girlfriend 'kick someone's butt', and he stuffed a handful of popcorn in his mouth. "Excuse me, coming through," an orange mongoose said, plopping himself down on Jeremy's other side. "Yo, cousin! Ready for some action?" Jeremy shook his head. "Not really."

The Bloodied Battle[]

White Ainekas the white-furred rabbit walked into the arena with his hands in the pockets of his camo pants, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt. He needed some practice, he'd decided - he never knew what types of threats would appear. Plus, it would test his skills to defeat an opponent quickly. Double plus, he heard his opponent had an artificial limb, like him, so he thought it'd be fun to connect before kicking them in the jaw.

Reens Maricina, a light blue hedgehog with dark blue hair, wore her new outfit as she strode into the arena, waving to the crowds. She had been through battles before, but never one such as this. She was going to be placed against one person, and to win, she had to draw blood. I've never been one for drawing blood, she thought to herself, but even if I lose, this should be fun!

She prepared her hydrokinetic abilities by showing off a little to the crowd, then unsheathed her golden longsword. It wasn't actually made of gold; the hilt of it was golden with a red jewel in the middle. With a flourish, she expertly swung it in an arc. "Hopefully my opponent is prepared," she said to herself.

White didn't even waste any time. Not one for theatrics, he dashed to Reens and attempted to perform a flying kick to the stomach.

Reens simply held up a hand and created a wall of water. "So you're my opponent? I have a feeling we at least interacted a little." She thrust the wall towards White, then backflipped out of the way of his kick. White kicked through the wall and landed in the sand, spitting water out of his mouth.

"Aw, drenched already? I see you're going for the kill." White shot a bullet out of his legs, allowing him to be boosted forward. Then, at a very high speed, he tried to kick Reens sideways in the cheek.

Reens blocked his kick with her robotic arm, but grunted at the strain. "Lucky for you I don't kill," she replied with a smirk. "If a little blood is spilled it won't be by my hand." White smiled and fell on his hands, trying to breakdance-kick Reens in the other cheek - the one she wasn't defending.

"I'll try not to get any on your costume," he said while attacking.

White's kick connected to Reens' cheek, and she staggered backwards a bit before doing a few kicks of her own. "I never said anything about my feet!" she quipped with a grin. She was able to hit White in the stomach, Knocking him down to the ground. He quickly got up and hopped behind Reens before trying to perform a low roundhouse kick to the side.

"I gotta say, I'm not one for dancing," she said, looking at him through her peripherals as she jumped over his foot.

White smiled. This girl had a sense of humor, at least. She seemed cool. Too bad he was trying to beat her up. After Reens dodged his attack, his took his other leg and tried to kick the airborne Reens in the side. If his attack hit, he would then perform more kicks in a dance-like fashion, which involved stomach blows and upper kicks. He would end the combo with a flying kick to the face.

Reens landed, then sidestepped him (see 'Strike That, Reverse It' in her DoD game moveset). "For someone I barely interacted with, you're a pretty good opponent." She then reached for her sword again and slashed at him, following it with powering her plasma cannon. White was knocked forward a bit, but he quickly turned around and fired bullets at Reens from his leg, rapidly changing which leg he was using so he'd fire them at different sides.

Reens created a bubble, the bullets harmlessly glancing off of it. Since the bubble absorbed damage, once it popped, Reens was thrown back onto her back. She grunted, lifting up her robotic arm and firing her plasma cannon at him a few times. White hopped around like a rabbit, dodging her shots. Finally, he leaped high into the air and came crashing down, trying to kick her upside-down in the face.

The kick connected, and Reens was thrown head over heels flat on her stomach. She grunted, getting up slowly. "You're a pretty good opponent, you know that?" she asked him, shaking her head loose of the ringing in her ears."If we weren't fighting we could be friends, even."

"You're pretty cool, too," said White, smiling while crossing his arms. "I think you'd be pretty good with Sis. Too bad I have to beat you up now. No hard feelings, 'kay?" White burst forward at Reens, firing flares of fire to boost his speed. He angled himself feet-first and tried to kick Reens in the cheek with a fast flying kick. If it landed, he would then try to drag her face through the sand.

"Was that a compliment?" Reens teased him, bending backwards to allow him to glide over her harmlessly. She then grabbed his left foot. "Thanks for that," she continued, flipping him into a judo throw. Before she could flip, White smiled and fired a bullets from his left and right legs, hoping that it'd throw her off.

White's move worked, as Reens let go of his leg to avoid the bullets. One of the bullets grazed her cheek, and she winced. "Do you ever run out of bullets?" she asked, more to tease him than to actually know. White put his leg in a stance, and you could hear the"click" of a reload.

"I actually have many different kinds," said White, smiling. "For example, this one will paralyze you." Getting into a stance again, White fired three static bullets at Reens, one at her head, one at her chest, and one at her leg. If any of them hit, they could paralyze Reens.

Reens dodged the ones aimed at her head and leg, but the third one hit her straight on in the chest. She stiffened, blinking. "Well, you were right about that," she strained to speak. "It works quick." White put his hands in his pockets, walked over to Reens, and grimaced.

"Sorry about this," White said before trying to roundhouse kick her in the head. Then, he'd attempt to sweep kick her before flipping to slam her into the ground with an upside-down flip kick.

All of White's kicks landed, and Reens fell to the ground. "I can't really fight back now, can I?" she said quietly to herself and coughed. A trickle of blood left her mouth, signifying White's victory. White took Reens' hand and pulled her up.

"Sorry 'bout that," he said, his ears twitching. "You put up a good fight, though."

Reens wiped her glove over her mouth. "You, too," she complimented him. "I'm looking forward to our next encounter. Maybe we'll fight together?" She shrugged, waving as she left the battlefield.
