Chapter 1: Pool Party[]

Metalloid had managed to "rent out" a private party area. The wolverine had decided to throw a party to celebrate the summer. He had invited several "friends" and friends of RedToxic (along with a few other people who paid to get in). The area was an outdoor pool with a refreshment bar and a large lounge area.

Along with this was a hot tub, a few small water slides around another pool, a fountain, and an artificial enviroment. The pool was heated to the perfect tempature, along with another that kept normal temp.

Already were Metalloid, RedToxic, and an old friend of Metalloid's Slate. Metalloid and RedToxic where discussing something while Slate was in her blue swimsuit standing at the edge of the pool.

"Well, the guests will be arriving any minute now." Metalloid said. "And remember what you job is!" he said with an assertive tone to RedToxic.

"Stop any and all gate crashers." the Hedgehog replied.

"Exactly." Metalloid said. He then turned over to Slate. "You okay Slate?" he asked. Slate looked over and nodded. "Yes Metalloid" she said quietly.

Metalloid smiled. "Now, the guests should be here any second..."

Up in the air, something appeared to be falling from the sky with rocks covering him. "At what time was this a good ide----", he said before his sentence was cut off when he fell into the bushes. Nightrush slowly got up and looked around, seeing everybody staring at him in some weird way. "I come in peace... is that what they say?", he said with a questioned face, continuing to look around.

Not far away high in the sky was a cyan colored Lycalo. Twilight was using his azure bat wings to direct him to a party. Dressed in orange swim trunk and yellow sandals, the wolfbat was excited for this party. His brown furred companion flying beside him only increased his excitement. He shifted his head to direct his golden eyes on the Angelfox.

"I think we're almost there, Luce." he said with an elated smile. He shifted his stare ahead to keep a lookout for their desination which was rapidly approaching.

Luce smiled. She felt overpowering excitement, which gave her a burst of energy.

"I think so too," her smile widening as she gazed at Twilight.

Metalloid and RedToxic looked at Nightrush. RedToxic opened his mouth to say something, but Metalloid interrupted. "FIVE SECONDS IN AND WE ALREADY HAVE A GATE CRASHER! HOW?" He yelled, and went over to the poolside bar to guzzle down a drink."

RedToxic turned to him. "Just don't break anything." he said.

Vendella walked onto the scene, looking for Metalloid, extremely elated. A young fox-like creature with a tail of fire followed her. The fox-like creature smiled.

"I'm excited, aren't you?" she asked Ven. Ven laughed.

"Yes. Are you kidding, Nova?" she said with a large grin spreading across her face. Nova laughed.

"Me too," she said while the two walked on to the premises.

"Ah, there it is." Twilight stated, pointing down at the pool party. He reached his arm out and grasped Luce's hand, blushing while he did so. "Ready to have some fun?" he asked his love as he began gliding downwards.

Luce blushed a little and look at Twilight with an elated look.

"You betcha!" she said enthuisiastically, her smile spreading into a grin.

It didn't take long for the canine couple to make their entrance. Twilight took a couple steps forward upon landing before coming to a complete stop. His head turned every which way as he analyzed the area.

"Looks like we're pretty early." the Lycalo pointed out with a shrug upon noticing the small amount of people. His leathery appendages retained their curved edges. He looked curiously at Nightrush and was instantly wary of him. He was only hoping this party would be filled with nothing but fun, especially since a certain cursed beast was forever banned from parties by an unknown force.

Nightrush had fallen onto a nearby pool chair, looking at the sky as the rocks rolled off of him with ease. He began to satre at the sun by accident as his eyes turned into burning fire, forcing him to bury his head in the pool before lifting it out. He fell back in the pool chair and stared at everybody who still watched him. "I have problems with fire...", he said.

Metalloid walked over to Ven. "Ven!" he said, his voice visibly happy. "Great to see you!" his face showed a rather hgappy smile, something RedToxic became wary of.

Luce watched Nightrush curiously, and catiously. Hmmm, She thought. She smiled up at Twilight, simply because she didn't want this day to be anything other than fun.

Blitz stepped out of the car he had taken to arrive here. He readjusted his jacket and made sure that he kept one  of his handguns, Ultra, in his bag, then made his way to where everyone else was.

"Hello," he said in greeting to everyone else that had arrived.

Ven smiled at Metalloid.

"Great to see you, too!" she exclaimed, smiling bright.

"So, it seems just about everyone's here." Metalloid said. "Help yourself to the food bar or the pool." He smiled. "This is gonna be one hell of a party."

Ven smiled. "Haha yeah."

"Alright, cool!" the wolf swordsman replied happily.

Nightrush just looked up at the sky in the pool chair. He layed flat while his armor began to give off burnign reflections from the sun. He thought taking a break from the whole evil thing was actually fun though he never saw it that way upon his past annoyances from Dr. Robotnik. He continued to lie in thought, ignoring what the other creature had said about food and stuff.

Some time later, Blitz reappeared in his red swim trunks, then climbed up to the diving board. After a few seconds, he took a great leap, curled into a ball, and yelled, "CANNONBAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!!!"

The wolf then caused a large splash in the middle of the pool upon impact, and stayed under the surface for a moment before swimming back up. "Woo! That was awesome!"

Twilight spread his wings and used them to protect him and Luce from getting splashed. He wasn't quite sure if she preffered getting drenched just yet. Watching the canine preform his cannonball made the Lycalo want to do one of his own.

"Care to go for a swim?" he asked his his loving Angelfox.

After the spash from the other creature in the water, Nightrush felt a puddle of water hit his chest. Growing disturbed by this puddle, Nightrush simply gave off an angered look but let it go since he didn't want trouble. He just ignored the wolf and focused back on the sun, swiping the puddle of water on the pool deck.

Luce nodded.

"I'd love to," she said, smiling at her love.

Alright, you ready for this?" Twilight asked with a grin. The sky blue wolbat bent his knees and took a hefty leap upwards. His wings were used to propel himself upwards slightly to the point he was a good distance away from the pool. Positioning himself directly above the water, the Lycalo curled his body into a ball, wings included and he dropped down with exponential velocity. A spirited shout would be heard from Twilight as he fell. He hit the pool in a loud splash with a large amount of water rocketing upwards, most likely soaking everyone in the vicinity. He slammed against the bottom of the pool but his adrenaline nullified the pain to the point it didn’t exist. After a short while, Twilight surfaced and made his way to the edge where he grabbed on and remained stationary.

“Now that’s a cannonball!” he exclaimed, thrusting a victorious arm into the air.

"Whoa...." was all the wolf swordsman said when it was over. "That was a nice one, dude!" he added, flashing a thumbs-up towards Twilight.

RedToxic looked at the pool. "I'm not going in." he said. Metalloid looked at him. "Yes you are." he said. RedToxic looked back. "No, I'm not." The wolverine simply smirked evily, and pushed the Chemosynthetic Hedgehog in. RedToxic fell in with a splash, but the shock caused him to create an explosion that was muffled by the water, but caused a very large splash.

Luce laughed, and she put two thumbs up into the air, signaling that it was a really great cannonball.

"Now my turn," she said. She jumped up and outwards, tucking her legs against her stomach, and wrapping her arms around them. She closed her eyes, and submerged the water with a large splash. She then surfaced, smiling.

Nova looked down at the water. She then grew an idea and smirkepd, before jumping into the water, her feet landing first.

Luce was blown back a little bit by RedToxic's splash, but quickly regained her footing. Before Twilight can respond to anyone, RedToxic's splash caused him to briefly shout out in surprise. He felt himself being slightly pushed back by the pressure. After things subsided, the Lycalo was puzzled by what caused such a large splash, but it was quickly pushed to the back of his mind.

"Right back at ya." Twilight replied to Blitz, giving the wolf a thumbs up of his own. He floated towards Luce and gave her a smile. "Yours was excellent too darling." he complimented his love.

Luce smiled and blushed a little.

"Not better than yours," she said, putting a hand on his cheek.

RedToxic surfaced, the most irrated look on his face. "Don't ever do that again!" He said, staring angrily at Metalloid. The wolverine was laughing very hard, but stopped. "I couldn't resist." He replied.

After being splashed again, Nightrush got up and moved his chair back to the far gates. he layed there, watching the sun and keeping the party crashers out of the actual party. He began to think to himself, putting on actual headphones and listening to Knuckles theme (Sonic Adventure Reference). "I have a thing for awesome music.", he said to the ones locked out, hoping they wouldn't look at him weird.

Twilight blushed from her soft touch on his white furred muzzle. He placed a hand atop hers and gave her a tender smile.

"You're too sweet." he told her. "I'm glad we came, this is alot of fun." he stated. Twilight then looked at the displeased RedToxic and he couldn't help but chuckle. "At least I'm having fun." he muttered under his breath with a smirk.

Luce blushed a little bit of a darker red. She smiled.

"Thanks. Me too," she said with a laugh.

Metalloid turned to Ven. "So Ven, are you going swimming?" he asked. He looked at the Huldra with a smile, hoping she would  enjoy the party.

"Yeah," Ven said with a grin. "You..?"

Blitz kept on swimming through the pool, content to relax.

Rosemary walked into the pool area, she was short, thin, and had beautiful curly blond hair. She was wearing a lime green bikini and was holding a young bat's hand. The bat had his eyes closes, and he quickly put his foot around places like he was trying to feel with them. "Ash, we're going to the pool..." Rosemary said, but Ash continued to feel around.

The now very annoyed RedToxic decided to make the best of this situation. He started to hyperventilate, oxygenating his lungs. He then dived under the water, toucheing  the bottom of the twelve foot deep-end with ease. The pressure was of no concern, so he just stayed there.

Slate looked around. She was unaccustomed to being aorund so many people. She could only knew Metalliod, and slightly RedToxic. She turned over to Metalloid and Ven. She decided to talk to them. She took a very deep breath to prepare herself.

A honeydew green feline with black spots and stripes, as well as large ears, arrived at the party. She had dusty pale plum hair worn in a ponytail, with bangs covering part of her right eye. She looked around at the other guests with her orangey-pink eyes. She was wearing a purple one-piece swimsuit. Not long after arriving, the serval kicked off her sandals and hopped into the pool.

Six was just arriveing too with a Green Jelly on a Plate in her Hands. ( Xenomorphs had no need for Cloths im sure everyone knows. ) "Hello. Im Six. Six the Xenomorph. Dont be frightened im not like what my Kind is portrayed as in the Movies. I brought Jelly for everyone aswell. No Chestbusters will be caused just so you know." She said as she smiled.

Nightrush quickly stared at the pool deck, seeing people just enjoy themselves. He simply switched his music to the music of Team Chaotix, staring at the gate again and seeing the idiot enemies stand there. "Nobody gets access", he said with a snarl.

"But I was Invited." Replied Six who frowned.

Somewhere up on the water slides, a femine creature made of water was pushed through the water vent. She looked very beautiful, and had long, flowing hair. She was laughing a lot. She had accidently been trapped there when the water was collected for the pool. She was slightly annoyed at the chlorine "pollution" in the water, but was otherwise okay.

Blitz was about to go down one of the water slides when he heard feminine laughter, and turned to see the water creature. "Hello," he said in greeting.

The water elemental looked right at Blitz. "H-h-h-h-hello." She said. She had long, flowing hair that reached to her feet, and appeared to be wearing no clothes. She looked around eighteen years of age. Her expression was ver curious.

"What's your name?" the wolf swordsman inquired, looking the elemental creature up and down. 'Wonder where she came from,' he thought to himself.

The creature had an apparent stutter. "M-m-Marvelle." she said. She smiled happily at that. She then looked at athe pool below.

Twilight had made his way over to the edge and placed his back against it. His arms lifted up, latching on to the surface and used to keep the Lycalo in that spot. His golden eyes took note of the various party goers. He wasn't quite comfortable socializing with any of the strangers and would remain by the comforting side of Luce. He was still having fun nevertheless and was grateful for the unknown force that prohibited Nightmare from parties.

Luce followed Twilight, not recognizing many of the faces at the party. The only faces she really recognized were Nova's and Vendella's. She smiled, as she wanted to stay by Twilight's side for the remainder of the party. She smiled up at Twilight, with a happy smile.

The green serval was treading water in the pool. She recognized a few of the other party-goers, but she decided she'd like to introduce herself to a few of the faces she didn't recognize before chatting with those she did. Before swimming over to anyone, she morphed into male form. The serval's colors remained the same, but his hair was now short and somewhat messy, and he was garbed in eggplant purple swim trunks. He had an athletic look to him, and appeared almost as somewhat of a ladies' man. He resumed scanning over the area so he could decide who to talk to first.

Just arriving at the party was a pale, light brownish-tan dog with somewhat curly fur and sky blue eyes. Clothed in a white t-shirt, black shorts, and black sandals, as well as a small pair of glasses, he entered the area. Rather than looking to swim, the dog simply went over to the lounch area to sit down, and begon toying with a smart phone.

Soon after the dog arrived, a black and green mockingbird and an orange cat entered the area. The mockingbird was wearing a pair of green and black swimshorts, a fedora, and a pair of green and black swimming shoes. He was also wearing a pair of sunglasses. The orange cat was wearing a blue shirt, a pair of black and blue swim trunks, and a pair of blue and black swimshoes. He had a towel hanging from his neck. He was also carrying a shopping bag filled with sunscreen and a few other items.

"Awesome! A pool party!" the mockingbird said outloud. "I love a good party." He then looked at the cat, "Relax, Static. You'll live for a few weeks with Crymson being out of town."

The orange cat, Static, didn't seem convinced. "I don't know, Mimic. I wish she was here." he gave a sigh as he looked around. "At least I recognize a few people here." Under family circumstances, Crymson had left town with her twin cousins Burg and Surg to go somewhere. Even though Static understood why she had to leave, he still felt bad about not enjoying a pool party with his girlfriend.

The serval spotted two new people entering the party. He didn't recognize either, and he figured it'd be a good start to go over and introduce himself. The serval swam to the edge of the pool and morphed back into the female form it had when it first arrived. She climbed out of the pool and approached the mockingbird and cat. "Hello!" She said enthusiastically, a bit of a smile on her face.

Mimic was the first to greet the newcomer. "Hey." he said. He tipped his fedora as a kind of greeting. "I'm Mimic. And the cat not having fun next to me is Static."

Static was lost in his thoughts of not having Crymson around when Mimic said his name. He looked back at the serval. "Oh, hi. Sorry, I was lost in thought." He appologized. In the back of his mind, he was mildly glad that Mimic didn't call him "Sparky", which was a name that he couldn't tolerate very well. Thinking about that, he could only imagine Crymson's response if she heard someone call him by that name.

RedToxic flaoted around the pool. He kept his eyes (or technically eye, but under the guise of his hologram, noone could see that his left eye was a cybernetic implant) for any gate crashers.

"Nice to meet you two." The feminine-looking serval said, sounding happy and enthusiastic. "My name is Marty." She then looked straight at Static. "Cheer up, cat. Parties are meant for fun and socializing. You won't do either if you spend all your time in your mind." Marty winked before looking back at the both of them. "Wanna see something cool?" She asked the two, a devious grin forming across her white muzzle.

"Marty?" Mimic asked. "That sounds more like a guy's name." he stated. "Uh, no offense." he quickly added, just in case the serval in front of him had a problem with people who said that Marty sounded like a guy's name. To change the subject, he agreed to see something cool.

Static shruged. "Sure." he said. Even though he thought "Marty" was an odd name for a girl, he met plenty of other girls who had more masculine names.

"Technically it can be both a male and female name." Marty responded. "But anyways..." The serval quickly morphed into male form in front of Mimic and Static. He now had a wide grin across his face as he waited to see their reaction.

Static eye's dilated for a moment. "That was..... weird." he said after a breif, awkward silence. He had seen plenty of unusual abilities from other people, but this serval's ability was one of the strangest he had seen.

Mimic eye's also dilated for a moment, but his reaction was rather different. "That was... awesome!" He said. "Check this out." He then shapeshifted into Marty and awaited his (or her) reaction.

"Weird, awesome, and fun." Marty said, nodding a little. He watched as Mimic shapeshifted into him. "That's pretty cool, too." He said. In male form, the serval seemed to be much more laid back than while in female form.

Mimic shifted back to his normal form. "Thanks. I'm pretty proud of it." he said. "And, I also happen to be the World's Greate-" His mouth was covered by Static.

"You don't need to start bragging, Mimic." the cat said. He also didn't want Mimic to openly boast about being an expert thief. The last thing he wanted was for them to be thrown out because everyone was afraid that Mimic would steal everyone's stuff. He then looked back at the serval. "So, do you know anyone here?" he asked, wondering if they had any friends in common.

"I know a couple people here." Marty replied. "I guess I'll introduce ya to 'em. Here, follow me." He pointed briefly in the direction of the pool before making his way toward the water creature there. He stopped near her and waited for Mimic and Static to follow.

Nova made her way up into the middle of the pool. She swam around for a bit, spotting a newly arrived Mimi and Static. She barely recognized anyone at the party; most of the faces were pretty new.

Static and Mimic followed the serval to the pool. They both looked around to see if they recognized anyone. As far as he could tell, Static didn't recognize anyone. Mimic didn't either, but he was keeping an eye out for something to steal. He would return the item, of course, but he always enjoyed the thrill of a heist.

Marvelle had just reformed from going down the slide. She looked at Marty. "M-m-m-marty?" she said in her normal curious voice.

"Yep. Hiya, Marvelle." Marty greeted. He turned to Mimic and Static to introduce them. "Guys, this is Marvelle. Marvelle, this is Static," he pointed to the cat, "and Mimic." he said, pointing to the mockingbird.

A young Vuerna came into the scene. He had orange fur, and yellow messy hair shaped into quills. He made his way around the pool, and bumped into Mimic accidentally.

"My apologies," the Vuerna said politley.

"Mm-m-m-m-mimic?" Marvelle said. "S-s-s-s-tatic?"

Nova made her way across the pool, having spotted the Vuerna. She had never met him in her life, but he was for sure one of her kind. She made it to Static, Mimic, Marty, and to the Vuerna. She questionably looked at him, wondering so many things about him, but something about him seemed very wrong. She sensed that he wasn't the best person to be friends with, and would keep her distance for a while.

Mimic turned to the Vuerna. "No problem." he said, not really caring that the person accidentally bumped into him.

Static noticed that Marvelle seemed to stutter as she talked. "Is the water that cold?" he asked, under the impression that Marvelle might just be freezing from the water.

(Note: It is rather obvious Marvelle is made of Water. Her entire body looked like water.)

Metalloid was sitting next to Ven. He simply scanned the party for any and all trouble. Slate nervously came over. "Hello Metalloid." she said in a shy and nervous voice.

Ven looked up at Slate and smiled at her. "Hello."

Slate reached out to shake Ven's hand. "Hello." she said. "I'm Slate." How nervous she was was apparent in her voice. Metalloid looked over to Slate. "Slate, this is Ven. Ven, a friend of mine, Slate."

Ven shook Slate's hand, smiling. "Nice to meet you."

Metalloid looked to Slate shaking Ven's hand and smiled. He rarely had Slate around, but had decided to invite her. The two had an almost uncle-neice relationship. As for Ven, he had developed a powerful crush on the huldra. He actually invited her the day after their first kiss. But that was a different story.

"Alright then," the Vuerna said, catching a glimpse of Nova. He winked flirtatiously at her, and began to walk away.

Nova rolled her eyes, annoyed. She dislikes being flirted with, even if a cute guy flirts with her. She looked at Marvelle.

"Hi," she said, smiling at her.

Blitz came back with a large amount of snacks in his arms after a few moments, and noticed some party-goers give him odd looks. "What?" he said. "I'm hungry."

Twilight returned Luce's smile with one of his own. His large bat eard twitched to the sound of more guests arriving and he turned his head to face them. One of the figures he recognized one while the other he could've sworn he saw somewhere before. He cupped his hands over his mouth to shout out to the orange electrokinetic feline, but brought his hands to their original position once he saw Static was being escorted elsewhere. He let out a brief sigh and his ears lowered very slightly for half a second.

"Looks like Static made it." He told his angelic companion. "It's so weird seeing him without Crymson." He went on. "That's like seeing me without you." He finished with a chuckle, repositioning one his arms so it was gently coiled around his soul mate .

Luce nodded and blushed a little.

"Yup," she said chuckling along with her love. She scanned the area to see if she knew anyone else, but she knew that she didn't when she saw no new familiar faces. Nova wanted to talk to one of the partygoers, but she didn't know who exactly to talk to. She made her way near Luce, twirling the end of her hippie braid anxiously.

Twilight's acute ears picked up footsteps that were approaching the couple. They acted as a sonar for the briefest of moments before he turned his head to Nova. Finding the few moments of silent eye contact he shared with the Veurna rather awkward, he instinctively acted friendly to try and nullify such a feeling.

"Hello there." he greeted with half a smile, not being able to say much beyond that.

Nova smiled.

"Hello," she said to both Luce and Twilight. Luce recognized Nova's face, up to the point it bothered her.

"Nova..?" Luce asked. Nova nodded.

Twilight's face looked as if a light bulb went off in his mind. He exchanged glances between the 2 females before turning to Luce.

"You 2 know eachother I assume?" The wolfbat inquired.

Luce nodded, as did Nova.

"Yup," Luce said. "Nova, this is my boyfriend, Twilight. Twilight, this is Nova." Luce smiled at the two.

Twilight looked at Nova as Luce introduced them.

"Always nice to meet one of Luce's friends." The Lycalo said with a smile. His nose twitched slightly as Nova's scent was unfamiliar. Her species was something he never smelt before and he became curious on what she was. Despite this, he decided to remain silent about the matter. .

Luce smiled. Nova flicked her fiery tail.

"Nice meeting you," Nova said, starting to drift to the other side of the pool. Luce smiled up at Twilight, and snuggled a bit closer to him.

RedToxic looked over to Marvelle. "A water elemental?" he asked himself. "He swam over to Marvelle. The water creature looked at him, and gave a curious smile. RedToxic was rather intrigued by the fact she was made of water.

"I'm going to head to the snack bar." Static said as he turned and left the group he was with. As he made his way there, he began to wonder if the snacks were free. Meanwhile, Mimic asked outloud if anyone wanted to have a cannonball contest.

"Likewise." Twilight told Nova. He then realized Static was making his way to the snack bar. He wanted to see how the orange feline was doing, escpecially without his other half. "I'll leave you 2 to catch up. Ima go see what Static's up to." the wolfbat said before pushing himself out of the water. On instinct, he skook his body about, sending small drops of water scattering every which way. His sky blue fur also puffed out slightly as a result. "I'll see ya in a tiny bit Luce." he told his angle, crouching down and planting a kiss on the top of her forehead before making his way over to the electrokinetic cat.

Luce blushed at the kiss to her forehead.

"Alright. See ya in a bit," Luce said, smilinng. Nova made her way back to Luce to chat with her for a bit, until Twilight's return.

Blitz moved towards the water creature as well, as he was interested by how she was made of pure water. "Say, how are you able to, uh... live like that?" he inquired, referring to how Marvelle was able to live as a construct of water.

Marvelle looked at him with a confused face. While she did not understand that she could survive simply by absorbing nutrients and microorganisms in the water, she also could barely understand the question she was being asked.

Blitz noticed her expression and said, "Uh... I mean, how were you born as a water elemental?"

Marvelle just cocked her head.

Blitz sighed. "I guess I'm not making any sense, am I," he said.

RedToxic simply stared at Marvelle. "Well, don't break anything, and I can let you stay." he explained. Marvelle looked over, and gave another confused look, frustrating the Chemosynthetic.

Slate was happy she managed to work up the courage to talk to Ven. While she had thought that Metalloid had given up dating, apparently she was wrong.

Upon hearing Mimic ask to have a cannonball contest, Marty grinned a little. "I'll compete." He said. "I always like a bit of a contest. We need more than two people, though."

A sky blue hedgecat, oddly with a pair of wings, was entering the area when she overheard the serval. She grinned and quickly flew over to them. The hedgecat stopped right between Marty and Mimic, and had a slightly creepy smile on her white muzzle. "I'll be in a cannonball contest." She said quickly, before anyone could say anything about her arrival. "I just need to get someone... KITTEN!!!" The hedgecat then looked at Marty and winked.

"Oh lord no." Marty said quickly. The serval made sure to go back to female form.

Another sky blue hedgecat, this one male, and with a similar pair of wings, walked into the area and over to his sister. "Yes, Skyla...?" He asked.

Skyla grinned. "Kitten, the birdy, cute gender-confused kitty, and I will be having a cannonball contest. Join us~!"

Marty simply facepalmed.

Ven noticed the hedgecat walk in. She eyed her carefully, still talking to Slate. She noticed that Helios was making his way towards Nova. Nova finished talking to Luce and she made her way, out of the pool and to talk to others.

Metalloid sniffed the air. "Gate Crashers..." he muttered. He eyed Skyla and Skylar. "Why?" he asked, facepalming. "Freaking Why?"

"Because security sucks." RedToxic commented.

Upon almost reaching Static, Twilight's nose suddenly scrunched up. He turned his head to the cyan hedgecats and his ears folded back on instinct. Occasionally shifting back to the twins, the Lycalo quickly made his way back to Luce.

"Hey." He greeted his Angel as he took a spot next to her. "On second thought, I'll stay here. Something about those 2 don't sit well with me." The wolfbat stated, glaring at Skyla and Skylar briefly before looking at Luce. He wasn't sure who they were and if they decided to stir up some trouble, Twilight wanted to protect his love anyway he can.

"Hey," Luce greeted back. Luce noticed who Twilight was talking about, and her nose scrunched up in disgust. "A succbus, and an inccubus. I don't like the succbus especially." Demons reeked in smell to her, she guessed it was vice versa for demons.

Skyla's ear twitched as she saw Twilight out of the corner of her eye. "Be right back, cuties~" She said, before turning to Skylar. "Kitten, you stay here." The succubus then made her way over to Twilight and Luce. She beamed a large grin as she looked at the lycalo. "Hiya, hon." She greeted, giving him a flirty wink.

"Ah, I though I smelt something peculiar." Twilight replied. He watched as Skyla made her way towards them and the closer she got, the closer he held Luce. His ears folded back as she made her greeting and a spine tingling chill ran down his back.

"Umm..." He said, not knowing exactly what to say, or if he should say anything at all. He was too nice of a Lycalo to ignore anyone. He simply gave Luce a confused look as he found himself lost on what to do.

Luce grew furious. She glared angrily at Skyla, about to tackle her in anger.

"Buzz off, succbus," Lice said angrily, growling.

"Sorry, sweetums, but I'm not a bee." The hedgecat smiled innocently.

The pale brown dog looked up from his cell phone for a moment and looked at Skyla. Not thinking anything of it, he went back to focusing on whatever he was doing.

Metalloid looked over. "This will not end well..." he commented. "YO REDTOXIC!" he shouted. The chemosythetic hedgehog looked over, and Metalloid pointed to Skyla, Twilight, and Luce.

Luce balled her fists. "Oh wait, that's right, you are a murderous dirty succubus. You have pushed my last buttons, succubus. You ether stay away, this is your last warning. I will not hesitate to attack you next time."

RedToxic teleported over. "Please do not kill eachother..." he asked. "I really do not feeling like cleaning up the mess. I ask that if you must fight, do it elsewhere."

"I don't plan on fighting her. This time. It would ruin everyone's time. I'm telling her off this time, but next time, depending on the occasion, I will attack her." Luce once again glared at Skyla, then shifting her gaze to RedToxic.

"I don't want a fight." Skyla said. "I only want the blue cutie she's with."

Twilight was slightly startled by the sudden appearance. He was glad a fight wasn't gonna break out; that'd be the last thing he'd want. Ignoring Skyla's comment, he took Luce by the hand and directed her elsewhere.

"Let's take it easy darling." He told her with a smile. "I love your protection, but I want you to know that nothing will separate us again." He went on, grasping both of her hands and planting a kiss on the top of each. "Especially not some Succubus." He finished, his smile increasing.

Luce blushed a little and smiled. "You're right." It was her natural instinct to be enemies with demons, nonetheless protect the ones she loved from them.

Skyla of course followed Twilight and Luce, staying very near them.

Skylar kept his eye focused on his twin. "She's a pest, but you gotta admire her persistence..." He muttered under his breath.

Static was busy drinking a can of soda. Fortunately for him, it was free of charge. Apparently there was enough for everyone and someone else had paid for all the refreshments. He was somewhat oblivious to the events that were happening because his thoughts were turned towards Crymson. He hated not being able to have her here, but he hoped to be able to spend time with her soon.

Mimic looked over at Skylar. "Is your sister always like this?" he asked. Even though he kept a bit of a cool demeanor, Skyla still creeped Mimic out.

"Unfortunately..." Skylar answered.

"That sucks." Marty said.

"Last call for canon ball contest entries!" Mimic shouted loud enough for everyone to hear. He would then wait a second to see if anyone else would join.

Skyla heard this and flew back over to Mimic, stopping to quickly try and plant a kiss on his cheek before placing her feet on the ground. "Ready!"

Mimic half expected this and quickly stepped behind Skylar. "Sorry, Kitty, but kissing another guy automatically disqualifies you." he said. "That's your warning." He then cleared his throat, "Alright. Who's first?" he asked.

Twilight continued to smile at his love.

"Are you alright now? The problem seems to be occupied." He said with a smirk. As much as a cannonball competition sounded fun, he had an increasingly irritating pain in his rear from the stunt he preformed. Plus he wanted to stay beside Luce just in case the Sun decided to suddenly vanish.

Luce nodded. "My natural instincts were just kicking in," Luce said, feeling a lot less angry. She hated demons with every fiber of her being.

Metalloid turned to Ven. "This is turning out to be a slightly crazy party." he said.

Ven nodded. "I couldn't agree more."

Blitz watched the events unfold from the side of the pool, relaxing on a lounge chair and adjusting his shades.

"Great." Twilight gleefully replied to the Angelfox, feeling fortunate things didn't escalate. He understood her actions as having a demon attempt to toy with her love, the Lycalo couldn't imagine the anger Luce felt inside. He planted a small kiss on her lips and gave her hands a comforting squeeze. "What would you like to do now?" He asked with an assuring smile.

Luce blushed at the kiss. Sometimes she truly felt she didn't deserve such a great guy as Twilight. She truly felt lucky in every moment she would be with him. Luce thought a lot of the times she must be hard to deal with at certain times. She thought for a moment at her love's question. "Hmm... I'm up for anything," Luce said gleefully. One of the main reasons for Luce getting angry because she knew Skyla's true intentions: to kill men. It bothered her immensely.

Helios made his way over near Twilight and Luce, hopping into the pool near them. He winked at Luce, but Luce either didn't see it or she ignored it. Helios came a little closer in hopes that Luce would notice him.

Twilight smiled at Luce. He loved watching her blush, watching her smile, seeing her happy; that's all he could ever ask of her. He opened his mouth to reply to her when a close by figure was seen through his peripheral vision. The Lycalo gave a questionable state to Helios, just in time to see the wink.

"Can I help you?" He questioned the Vuena. "That's far enough by the way." He affirmed, stretching one of his arms out towards him. He was somewhat irritated at the moment, but wouldn't get worked up to keep things settled.

Helios laughed. "Naw, I think I'll come a little closer." Luce glared at Helios, her ears lowered in annoyance.

"Come any closer, and that tail won't be where it is now." Luce was disgusted by Helios and her nose scrunched up. Helios laughed, an inched closer. Luce let go of Twilight for a moment and inched closer to Helios, and grabbed his wrist, and twisted it, and plunged him into the water, his back smacking the water. Helios winced in pain as he was submerged. Luce cracked her knuckles and made her way back to Twilight.

Twilight took a step to place himself inbetween Luce and Helios once he showed persistence. However, he watched in a somewhat shocked manner as she took care of things.

"Well, that's one way to do it." He said with a shrug, holding his Angel close as she approached him. "Who is that guy anyways?" He went on to ask.

Luce laughed. "Yup. I have no idea, honestly." Luce watched Helios resurface and make his way near them again, and only to feel his grasp on his arm. Luce froze for a second and glared up at him.

"You better watch that hand," Luce growled. Helios smirked.

"Why not, dearie...?" Helios' smirk grew wider. Luce growled a bit more. Luce proceeded to spit in Helios' face, before pulling her and Twilight underwater in attempt to get away. She was not going to fight him, and neither would he, but he certainly would not leave them alone, Luce was sure of that.

After Twilight emerged from the water a fair distance away, the Lycalo shot an angered glare at the Vurena. He wondered what was the cause of this individual's actions were. The way he acted towards Luce sent a surge of anger to his heart. Using his azure bat wings, the Lycalo propelled himself out of the water and hovering just above the surface.

"Leave her alone!" Twilight warned, ears folded back and tail twitching about.

Luce submerged, angry. She soon had an Idea to get rid of Helios. She literally wanted to kick him out, but she didn't want to get violent or she'd stay that way. Luce whispered at Twilight.

"I've got a plan," Luce said, gritting her teeth. "I only hope it will work." Luce eyed Helios getting out of the pool. She sighed in relief. "Never mind. He's gone."

Twilight was snarling at Helios. For once he wished for the moon to rise to let his anger be known. Luce's wishpering broke him from his rampant thoughts and he let out a deep sigh.

"Yeah. He's not even worth it." Twilight said as he watched Helios exit the pool, not caring if he was heard. knew there was to be no violence at this party. The organizers probably won't even be happy this little scuffle happened. He was half expecting a tail chewing from this. He exhaled deeply and looked to the sky. "I just hope things will be fine at sundown..." He muttered under his breath. He floated back into the water and beside his Angelfox. "I think it's time for some relaxation." He suggested with a snicker.

Luce chucled. "Sounds great." Luce held Twilight close. She hated all this flirting going on. It bothered her immensely. She smiled up at her love. She wasn't going to let gate crashes ruin a fun time. Ven witnessed the scuffle, and she eyed Helios carefully. She would escort him out if she had to. She eyed Metalloid.

"Should I escort him out?" Ven asked nodding at Helios. Nova got out of the pool to go grab a soda from the snack stand. She eyed faces to see if anyone new showed up.

Blitz watched the... incident take place between Luce, Twilight, and Helios, feeling his gentlemanly side kick in and almost make him stand up. But when he saw Helios exit the pool, he sat back down, though he still kept a wary eye on the Vurena just in case he tried anything else.

Twilight glanced over to RedToxic and gave him a nod, signifying things were okay. He was hoping so at least. He couldn't help but get worried as sunset was closer and closer to arriving. The cyan wolfbat brought Luce in for a hug.

"No worries, everything's alright." He assured, squeezing her tight for a brief moment.

Luce blushed a little from the embrace, and she kept a strong grip on Twilight, not wanting to let go. She nodded at RedToxic before shifting her gaze to Twilight.

RedToxic simply went over to the bar Metalloid has set up, got a soda, and sat down. Marvelle started to swim around at high speeds.

Metalloid got up. "Going to serve drinks Ven." he said.

"Alright," Ven said, smiling.

Twilight sighed in relief as things were settling down. Still holding his Angel close, he gently escorted her to the corner of the pool where they were before all the insanity. He wanted to collect himself a bit more before resuming his fun at the party.

"You alright?" Luce asked Twilight, wondering what was going on in his mind. She smiled comforting at her love, only wanting this party to be nothing but fun, but so far, there was a bit much of drama.

Twilight looked at Luce and let out a light huff. He gripped her hands and stroked them with his thumbs as well as gave her an assuring smile.

"Yeah, I'm okay." he replied softly. "Thanks for asking." he went on." He was already feeling better. The drama that ensued was already moving past him. Twilight wasn't one to get angry and even once he did, it was short lived. He always prefered to have fun and make the most out of things. Having his loving Angel beside him made things all the more better.

Metalloid went over to the bar. "Supplying beverages of all kinds!" he announced. And by all kinds, he meant all kinds of his own hmebrew alcoholic.

Blitz watched the water creature swim at an incredible speed, intrigued by how fast she was going. "Whoa," he remarked in awe.

Mimic had waited a bit before starting the contest. Since no one else had volunteered to go first, he got on the diving board. "Clear the deep end!" he shouted. "I don't want to end up landing on anyone." After it was clear, he went to the end of the diving board, jumped a few times to gain some height, and then performed a frontward flip and cannonballed into the pool, making a big splash as he did so. After a few seconds of disappearing under the splash and bubbles, he resurfaced and began to make his way towards the side of the pool to climb out. "Beat that!" he shouted back at the next cannonballer.

Static had some time to think things over and finally decided to spend some time with the people he did know. He recognized Twilight and Luce and decided to talk to them first. "Hey." He said as he walked up. "How are you?"

Twilight watched the mockingbird preform his cannonball and couldn't help but smirk as he had himself convinced he could top that, even without the use of his wings. A pusling pain in his rear reminded him once more he shouldn't even attempt it. A nearby voice alerted him out of his thoughts. He turned his body around and pressed his chest against the side of the pool to face the orange feline.

"Hey Static." the Lycalo greeted with a friendly smile. "I'm not too bad, how about yourself?" he asked. Twilight could sense the electrokinetic was moderately troubled. Without Crymson by his side, the wolfbat could understand why. He felt remoursful seeing Static missing half of himself.

Luce smiled at Static. "Heya Static," she greeted politely.

Skyla decided that she would be the next one to have her turn in the cannonball contest, but she wanted to be generous so let her brother go before her. She brought Skylar up onto the diving board, and before he could do anything, she shoved him on the back, off the board. "Have fun, Kitten~".

Skylar was completely unprepared, and landed flat on his stomach in the water, barely making a splash. Skyla hopped off the diving board after, and landed using her hydrokonesis to cheat. She created a massive splash that would douse everyone. Marty was now soaked. "Actually, I changed my mind about competing..." She said. The brown dog was also soaked, and stared at the water-covered screen of his cell phone. Marty saw this and came over. "Will your phone be okay?" She asked. "It looks expensive." The dog adjusted his glasses. "It'll be fine. I hope... Anyways, my name is Plasma. Pleasure to meet you..." "Marty." The serval stated.

Chapter 2:Happy 4th! (or whatever day it is now)[]

Metalloid and RedToxic were on a beach. Next to them was a large amount of illegal fireworks. Note: This was definitely a BAAAAD idea.

Metallid grinned. "I thought you like blowing things up RedToxic." he said.

"I do, but don't you think this is a bit...extreme?"

"Nope."

"Explosions, eh? I like explosions," Blitz said excitedly upon seeing the fireworks.

Ven eyed the fireworks carefully.

"Don't you guys think we'll get caught...?" Ven asked nervously, eyeing the fireworks then shifting her glance to RedToxic and Metalloid.

"Yes." RedToxic answered to Ven. The Huldra had become so often seen when he went to visit Metalloid that he had gotten very used to her presence.

"Nope." Metalloid said. "This doesn't fall under the certain things I can't do."

"Shall we light'em up and watch the pretty explosions?" Blitz inquired.
