I know I have the New Years RP still running, but I wanted to make a Roleplay that’s more action adventure oriented.
Overview[]
Explorers over the world have heard the tale of an artifact by an ancient cult known as the Golden Sundial. Recent rumors suggest it now resides in a humid region. Many different treasure hunters and exploration groups are staking out and on the hunt for the inverted temple that holds the sundial. Will your crew find it?

Search for the Sundial[]
A machete roughly shredded through a dense forest of vines and thicket. A slightly pinkish looking Gyrfalcon pushed aside the cut down vegetation so her much smaller companions (at least the three of them) can step through.
"We gettin' any closer to that artifact your father has?", Maya looked down a Diya, currently studying the hell out of the map down in her hands.
"You'll be happy to hear it's not much farther away. We just have to keep heading south and keep an eye out. This temple is inverted.", the gecko said as she showed the map to the bird of prey.
"Meaning?", the larger girl looked down intently.
"Meaning it's a stone structure built into a squarish shape into the ground. The foliage here is probably blocking it from being viewed from off the ground", a navy blue furred llama stepped out right after the gecko, being followed by a Victorian looking dragon right behind.
"Which exact artifact are we looking for though?", Azrael spoke up, looking directly at his partner.
"A sacred sundial, one that can control time itself, but only in the hands of Light Users.", Diya said, shuffling a paper out behind her map with a sketch of the sundial in question, "In the hands of my father or any one of his other children and this thing becomes dangerous. That's why we have to find it fast.".
"You can say that again. I didn't know the severity of this situation.", the Gyrfalcon continued to slice through the jungle as the group continued on, only for the bird of prey to stop and go back to cut a bigger entrance for their biggest member - a large gray blue icy whale.
"Are you ignoring me on purpose, Maya?", despite being so large, Triton had a soft and eloquent voice and tone much unlike the bird's loud and boisterous on.
"Hey!", the girl in question growled, "I can't help if you're too damn big to even fit between two trees!".
Off in the distance was a much smaller motley crew, lead by an aging Platypus.
"Pick up the pace, laddies! We're just a few miles away from the Temple of the Golden Sun!", Merritt stood on a rock to elevate himself higher than his companions, most of whom dwarf him.
"Does this temple even exist?", a tall buff horse, the largest of the entire group, questions the older, shorter man.
"Ayla said that it's the most likely legend in this area!", the platypus babbled on, "And that's good enough for me!".
"I said most likely temple at all to be in this region. If it does exist.", the nerdy, much younger looking girl of the crew adjusted her glasses, "All my research on this area points it to being part of some sort of cult-ish religion in the past.".
"Cult-ish religion? Just what exactly are we getting into?", a lean, tall, rather handsome hare looked over at the scorpion who's face went beat red from just a glance.
"Religion-smidgion! Whatever death cult or crusade or some other thing happened here long long ago!", Merritt stuck his snout up in the air, "All I know is that there's not only a lot of treasure in said temple, but also the legends talked of a golden sundial. One worth more than it's weight in gold and I can't possibly pass up this opportunity! Now are ya coming or what?".
His crew grumbles as Beau, the large horse, continued to slash through the vines and clear a path.
(Meanwhile, approaching from a different angle, was Srish and Silence)
Srish: You know, I never bothered to ask, why are we being sent after this time-controlling sundial instead of, say, Sonic?
Silence: Sonic was taking Alan on a base hunting trip, plus, there's reports that Alas is after that treasure too.
Srish: After that incident in the forest, why would he go after another treasure for Eggman?
Silence: He's exceedingly greedy, oh, and why isn't Dria here?
Srish: She can't handle the jungle, something about the humidity.
Silence: I can understand that, my fur is weighing me down so much.(Silence then looks over at Srish) "You understand that it's not necessary to actually retrieve the compass, yes? Burying it in the ruins or letting a different adventuring party get it is a acceptable outcome."
Srish: Yes, I understand... (Srish then looks back at Silence) "We're still going to find the compass though, and locating is half the battle."
(Silence lightly chuckles at the joke, and the two continue on.)
Meanwhile, from a third angle...
(Alas was running at top speed through the jungle, using his Void Wispon to clear a path through the dense forest.)
Alas: Alright, simple job. Get the compass, get out, get it to Clutch, simple. I hope this place isn't as chaotic as the last forest i visited, I don't want to deal with another jail.
Elsewhere, behind everyone else was a red hawk running quickly behind a tall gryphon. "Would you slow down? I can't exactly fly like you can in this place!", Rott would shout out to Jayanthi who turned her head to glance at the shorter woman.
"We need to act fast. The Golden Sundial is already in the hands of one of my half siblings, Solana. She's keeping it guarded for father's inevitable return.", the gryphon relayed to the hawk, "We need to get there as fast as we can, destroy my half sister and destroy the sundial before anyone else can get their hands on it.".
(Silence and Srish then arrive at the temple.)
Srish: Huh, that was easy. Thank goodness the river led straight to the temple.
Silence: No time to waste, we need to enter the temple and-wait!
(Silence then fired his Ghost Wispon at a tree, causing a explosion which rocked the forest a bit, with a hidden enemy responding in kind with a Void Wispon blast, which missed the two. Alas then jumped out to confront the two.)
Alas: I see you still haven't given up being goody two-shoes.
Srish: I see you haven't given up being a villian.
(Silence then fired his Ghost Wispon at Alas, which hit just under him, sending him into a tree. Srish then charged in and fired his Rhythm Wispon, with the shots bouncing off Alas's head, against a tree, and then back onto his head before fading. Alas then fired a bunch of vines at Srish, then kicked him back to his friend.)
Srish: How the heck did you do that?!
Alas: Heh, heh, heh. Don't you remember, in the forest? You were trying to get that staff away from me, but you had just demonstrated my capability to launch things i absorb into my Wispon.
(As Srish gets the vines off, Alas avoids a blast from Silence and looks at the temple. He then fires a void blast at a crumbling statue, absorbing it. Srish then fires notes from his Rhythm Wispon, but Alas dodges them all, before returning fire with a void blast, which is neutralized with a note blast.)
Alas: What? How?
Srish: You're not the only one who got a new trick added to their Wispon. After your theft allowed Eggman to use Wispons, Tails altered all Wispons to negate other's blasts.
(Silence then fired another blast, which Alas nearly avoided, but it sent him flying into just the right position to be facing down the two heroes and the temple entrance. Alas then launched the statue absorbed earlier at Srish, who tried to dodge it, but got clipped by it, and sent into a rock wall. Alas then ran by, kicking Silence out of the way, and used his Void Wispon to hover over a small gap, and across the rest of the floor, before turning out of their view.)
Silence: Srish? Are you okay?!
(Srish then pulled himself up.)
Srish: Yeah, i'm barely fine...
"Is someone there?", both Srish and Silence could hear a voice call put to them. Through the debase jungle brush Diya stepped out followed by her bird and dragon companion close behind. The gyrfalcon decided to speak up secondly, "Are you two okay? It sounded like you had some sort of scuffle before we arrived.".
"Ugh, I don't think I can keep up like this...", as Rott's energy drained from constant running the bird's focus started to wear. In an attempt to keep up with Jayanthi the hawk pushed herself a little too hard, causing herself to trip and role off further from the gryphon who currently wasn't paying attention to the hawk.
Growing closer to the other parties, the four man band was startled abruptly by the appearance of the young punk looking woman. "Accck!", the bird cried out til she actually came to a halt and the scorpion of the group screamed, "Eeeek!". "What the--??", was all the horse could mutter before the oldest man of the group waltzed up to her and promptly tapped her on the head with his cane, "You lost, lassie?".
Srish: Yeah, i'm okay. Why are you here?
