— Platinum
Not to be confused with Platinum Zilla, Platinum the Hedgehog, or Platinum the Lemur.
Red/Blue/Silver (By her alternate personalities)
Uisu~Hyper (Fake name to avoid suspicion)
Appearance[]
Platinum is usually a silver colored echidna, with her hair being neat on the right, and sloppy on the left. The right side of her hair has a red tint, while the left has a blue tint. Her eyes are also blue on the right, while red on the left. Her main outfit consists of a purple gym outfit. She also wears two gloves, both of them white. She also wears an obsidian pendant around her neck, with a sphere of platinum in the center. However, she usually tucks this under her shirt, so not many people notice it. Underneath her gloves are jewels, a ruby under the right and a sapphire under the left. Upon changing into Red (More to be explained under 'Powers' and 'History'), her quills and fur change to the red of the right side of her hair. Along with this, her hair changes to the style of the right as well. She also gets a generally bulkier look to her. Upon changing to Blue, she turns the color of the left side. The rest of her hair changes to match this, like as Red does. Her look changes from bulky to slim as well, following the pattern of her contrast with Red. After taking on the alias of Uisu~Hyper, she donned a rainbow-flashing robe with a star in the middle.
Personality[]
Due to the gems that Platinum wears, she switches between multiple personalities. Silver, or Platinum is her normal, silver form. This is her original(?) personality. She is mostly carefree, but is quick to react if someone threatens her. She thinks things out for the most part, but can sometimes impulsively act out when aggravated. Blue is the brute force. To put it simply, Blue is almost pure brawn. She comes off as somewhat dense, but there's more to her than meets the eye, as seen in some of her more complex attacks, such as the Bubble Kamikaze Attack. Red is surprisingly the thinker, even though she focuses on physical attacks, normally associated with brute strength, as opposed to skill and poise. She prefers to set up a strategy rather that all-out attack. Blue's usually the best at doing that, anyways. All three personalities train in their own method, Red focusing on creating new techniques, Blue, simply getting as tough as she can, and Silver, training with a mix of the two styles. Before the loss of her memory, Platinum's persona was radically different, and she used the alias of 'Granite The Echidna' (Page to be made).
History[]
Pre-Amnesia[]
Main Article: Granite The Echidna (Not yet made)
Before losing her memory, Platinum went by the alias of 'Granite', and was known as a powerful criminal sorceress, on the run from G.U.N., who Granite had been working for before. Given lots of money and equipment, she was a top scientist for the organisation. She had spent lots of time researching the power of Hyper-Go-On energy, the latent power contained in Wisps, but decided to turn against G.U.N., wishing to use her power to get whatever she wanted. Eventually, she attempted to absorb the power of an ancient Wisp deity, in a bid for ultimate power. It worked, but the immense power caused her personality to fracture into three parts. The constant personality changes caused her to be debilitated, and led her to create the obsidian necklace that she wears, responsible for keeping her personalities in check. With newfound power, Granite lured the agents assigned to capture her to one of the Wisp-inhabited planets, a trap in disguise. Once the agents had reached the planet, Granite unleashed the power vested in her, in the form of the Yin-Yang Wave, a destructive wave of pure energy. She planned to escape the destruction, but a last-second attack by one of the agents caused her to lose focus, causing her to lose her memory, despite escaping. However, the agents sent after her managed to escape the annihilation she unleashed. The planet they were on, however, was not so lucky.
Post-Amnesia[]
Waking up in Station Square, Platinum had no recollection of her former life as a criminal. In fact, she could only remember her name: Platinum. After stumbling around in a post-amnesia stupor for a while, she was confronted by federal agents of some kind; members of the force her former self had worked for. It was then that Platinum found out about the power hidden within her, instinctively defending herself from the attempt on her life. Luckily enough for her, the special team after her had not yet returned to Mobius. Of course, she didn't know that. Alone and afraid, Platinum eventually met up with Lazuli The Rabbit, who offered her a place to stay. However, Lazuli was yet another agent sent after her, and planned to finish her off while she was sleeping that night. Lazuli woke up that night to do the deed, but was stopped short by the untimely arrival of Fuwa The Hedgehog, an old comrade of Granite. Platinum awoke the next morning, safe and sound, no knowledge of the peril her life was in only hours ago. Seemingly safe once more, Platinum looked to thank Lazuli, but of course, she was nowhere to be found. It was at this time when Kikojak The Fox, yet another agent sent after her (this is starting to become a theme) greeted her, openly telling her about the people after her. After a short conversation, however, Kikojak realised her loss of memory. Knowing full well that the rest of the team wouldn't care about whether or not she had memory of her deeds, he decided to keep her identity a secret. Intending to use her power for his own gain, Kikojak started up the spaceship built into Lazuli's house, and set course for Planet Wisp. It was there that Platinum began to recover some of her memory, with the help of the planet's power source: the Hyper Diamonds. During a battle against a tyrant on the planet, Platinum reached her Miracle SPARKING state, and the power triggered the process of reclaiming her lost memory. Unfortunately for her, Kikojak interpreted that as meaning that the old Granite would return soon, and quickly stranded her on the planet, leaving her stuck, with the tyrant's army in hot pursuit. With all hope lost, Platinum called upon the power she had felt once again, and was able to unlock her Miracle Master state. After trouncing the tyrant's army, she was heralded as a hero to the Wisps, and was given a ship to head home with. Back on Mobius once more, she is now searching for the answers to who she really was, unbeknownst to the agents who think she is dead.
Powers[]
Platinum's powers vary depending on her personality, which she can change using her three gems, the ruby, sapphire, and platinum sphere. As Red, she gains a great amount of defence and reflexes, but sacrifices raw power. As Blue, her magic become significantly more powerful, but lacks the refinement of Silver and Red's. In addition, her own durability is decreased as well, making her a glass cannon. As Sliver, she has a little bit of Red's skill and Blue's strength, but not a significant amount. After visiting Planet Wisp, she gained the ability to utilize Hyper-Go-On energy, giving her a good selection of powerful spells, and better control over her power. Transformations will be here. Overall, Platinum is a powerful jack of all trades, having a large selection of techniques and skills to use against those who oppose her. Her major weakness is the fact that while all of her forms are powerful, only by transitioning between them fluidly can she effectively take down her opponents. Taking a lot of damage can cause her to not switch between her forms as quickly as usual. On top of that, her base strength is weaker than most normal people, meaning that without proper transitions, she cannot stand against skilled fighters. But when calm and collected, Platinum is a dangerous opponent to face.
Skills[]
Platinum has a variety of skills to use, depending on her current form. Below I shall list her techniques, sorted by which mode can use them.
Red's Skills:
- Afterimage: By manipulating scarlet H-G-O, Red is capable of leaving afterimages behind her as she moves. The afterimages are not very stable, however, and only last very short periods of time.
- Pressure-Point Attack: With expert precision, Red can rapidly strike her opponent in several pressure points, sometimes using H-G-O to increase its power and speed. This is not a lethal attack, but is capable of seriously disorientating an opponent with their guard down.
- Glancing Counter: Red's signature countering technique. Using subtle movements, Red angles herself in order to minimize damage from an attack, before quickly striking back with a strong punch.
- Twisting Breaker: An attack used to break through guards. After punching the shield or blocking opponent, Red uses yellow H-G-O to twist her blow far faster than most people, culminating into a total drill if the shield had still held against the initial assault.
- Null Block: By using Violet H-G-O, Red temporarily can nullify physical blows against her, allowing her to retailiate without any hesitation. However, using it at all is quite draining. (Note: Requires Miracle Master)
- Hyper Burst Combo: Red's strongest technique, throwing a volley of (literally) explosive punches at lightning speed, utilizing red H-G-O to make sure it really hits home. (Note: Requires Miracle Master)
Blue's Skills
- Compressed Blue Cannon: She unleashes a torrent of compressed H-G-O.
- Ultra-Dense Bubble: A seemingly harmless attack, she fires a small bubble. However, there is actually quite a lot of energy packed inside, so don't pop it unless you want to be hit by a powerful explosion. She can also remotely pop it with her magic.
- Eruption: Stomping the ground, Blue causes pillars of H-G-O to emerge from the ground beneath her foes. There is a short period of time that the energy is visible before it is harmful, however, making it usually ineffective for directly dealing damage.
- Quickstep Pursuit: Using ivory H-G-O, Blue propels herself forwards towards a retreating foe, or one from a distance. However, she is completely incapable of turning in this mode, sacrificing steering for speed completely.
- Frenzy Dash: An evasive technique. Blue propels herself out of harm's way with a blast of purple H-G-O. Can also be used to attack. (Note: Requires Miracle Master)
- Hyper Kamikaze Attack: Based off of Gotenks's move, Platinum creates an energy-based doppelganger of herself, that will violently explode on contact with an enemy. (Note: Requires Miracle Master.)
Silver's Skills:
(Note: Most of Silver's skills can be utilised by all of her forms, but Silver can utilise them more efficiently than the other two forms.)
- Boost: Silver, after arriving on Planet Wisp and receiving the Wisp Ring (Page to be made), uses the boost quite often. A versatile skill, capable of being used to add an extra burst of energy to attacks.
- Rocket Uppercut: Using the power of orange Hyper-Go-On, Platinum uses a fast uppercut.
- Block Shield: A defensive technique requiring blue Hyper-Go-On, creating a blue, ring-shaped barrier for defence.
- Gap Crosser: By the power of green H-G-O, Platinum can slightly hover, allowing her to avoid ground-based attacks and slow her descent when falling.
- Pitch Perfect: By harnessing magenta H-G-O, Platinum can... sing really well. She doesn't know the use of this either.
- Asteroid Spin: Indigo H-G-O allows Platinum to redirect projectile attacks with some sort of astral ring.
- Spike Dash: Using pink H-G-O, Platinum can replicate Sonic's spin dash. However, it makes her nauseous, and she doesn't like to use it very often.
- Super Burst Wave: Red H-G-O allows Platinum to unleash a powerful explosion around her. It is very energy-intensive.
- Final Hyper Cannon/Fist: Platinum's most powerful technique, only capable of being used in Miracle Master. By condensing all of her energy in a sphere, Platinum either fires a powerful beam of energy, or grabs the sphere to directly hit someone with the incredible power of the attack. The technique puts great strain on her body, and as such is generally used as a last resort.
Trivia & Other[]
- The reason why Platinum has three personalities is because Kojak couldn't decide what Platinum's personality would be.
- The separate personalities were also inspired by the manga for The Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords.
- Many of Platinum's moves are based off of DBZ moves. Miracle Master/SPARKING is a reference to a technique in DBZ video games.
- Platinum was not Kojak's first OC. It was actually Lazuli The Rabbit.
- Platinum went through a few design changes, she was originally a human who changed hair color between black, white and grey. After scrapping her being a human, she was going to be a raccoon.
