Norman the Mink is a career tank officer and one of the highest-ranking members of G.U.N.'s Fourth Army Division.

Appearance[]

With creamy fur and peach muzzle skin; Norman fits the mold of a career member of the Fourth Division, complete with the customary cybernetics of that legion. Commanding from the front lines in his tank, he has a steel right arm built to a smoother design schematic than average, while his left eye has been replaced with a blue optic lens.

Attire[]

Norman wears the standard uniform of the tank crews of the Fourth Division, a simple set of black fatigues with dark grey body armor on his torso, shoulders and arms. As with most of the Fourth Division members, Norman shuns the optional helmet for his armor, instead preferring to proudly display his optic despite the risks involved with having an uncovered head in combat.

History[]

Abilities[]

Over the course of his career, even with his voluntary cybernetic surgeries, Norman has retained his personal strength of will, and the ability to plant that will onto others. While his psychic might has never been displayed through combat telepathy and battle meditation, he has been seen using it to disorient hostiles as part of ambushes performed with his tank unit. Similarly, Norman has shown a handful of pyrokinetic skills; though he never utilizes these with his cybernetic arm. Typically, this manifests as a fairly strong control over temperature and heat; rather than traditional fire; though he outright denies having any ability to use the more advanced Scorch elemental powers.

Norman's hand-to-hand combat skills are uncertain; and are to some degree under question. While he has been seen sparring with others, his fighting style atypically resembles a wrestler rather than the traditional military mixed martial art used by many others within G.U.N, which he states to be to take advantage of the enhanced strength of his cybernetic arm. Indeed, he has been seen bending armored plates with the strength of his cybernetic, though he routinely states a disdain for relying upon its strength. His arm also has inbuilt microphones and transmission systems for communication and coordination purposes. Similarly, his cybernetic eye bears a wide range of digital filters that he can choose at any given time. These include heat and night-vision filters and tactical overlays coordinated through incoming transmissions from his arm, though rumors abound of an x-ray filter capable of peering through people's clothing being used by many within the Fourth Division for "personal security" reasons. Norman has never offered any confirmation on his stance or use of said filters.

Vehicle[]

Norman's current vehicle assignment is a rather typical one for such a high-ranking officer, a Hammerforge Industries Frontline-type Heavy Tank. One of the brand-new Combat-series tanks, the Frontline packs a massive punch with its 120mm cannon and fairly advanced tactical suite; while it also bears a pair of machine guns - one mounted co-axially with the cannon, the other mounted on the roof to help dissuade hostile aircraft from strafing the tank. However, the most powerful aspect of this tank is the defensive system incorporated into it. In cases of emergency; crews can activate a Mega Coal-based micro-reactor to essentially create an ultra-thin layer of Transitory Mist around the tank; meaning that all incoming fire gets transitioned into the void between worlds. Highly expensive and only capable for working for a minute before the reactor is out of fuel; this tech is the key reason why the Frontline has not been openly employed as a generalist vehicle in G.U.N's forces.
