This page is still unfinished

The author of Night the Fox (NightmareHouseFan) considers this page to be unfinished. As such, some sections may change.

Appearance

Night's current physical appearance is depicted with an extroardinary lack of color. He has gray fur, a white fluffy muzzle, a long gray, fluffy tail, two triangular ears, a pair of purple eyes, and three thick strands of hair that stick out from the top of his head. Night is generally clothed with a gray hoodie, a gray pair of pants, and a pair of gray and white buckled shoes. He also wears bandages on his forehead and his hands to cover the scars and bruises that his arch-enemy, Baby Ginger, left on him before she cursed him with monochromic form and his powers.

Before Night was tortured by Baby Ginger, as a regular fox as young Ince, he originally had a more colorful appearance. In place of his gray fur was light brown fur. His eyes were also originally red-orange. Back then, Ince typically wore a black and white t-shirt, a pair of blue shorts, a pair of white socks, along with a pair of red and white buckled shoes.

Personality

Back when he was still referred to as Ince, he was a cheerful and playful little child. He never took anything negative into account due to his innocent and naïve nature. Whenever something serious occurred, he looked over the struggles and kept an optimistic, open mind. His favorite toys were usually plushes of animals, particularly a stuffed teddy bear he owned named Baby Ginger. Ince also showed a sense of loyalty and overprotection for those that he cares about.

After suffering from his stuffed teddy bear's nightmarish curse, he gained his apparational appearance. The sudden curse that was afflicted on him traumatized him to the point in which his outgoing personality reversively withdrew into its polar opposite. No longer the optimistic, playful fox he originally was, Night then became a more pessimistic, closed-up, tentative individual. When he learned that he gained his nightmare-based powers, he was horrified upon the idea of accidentally harming others or himself without even realizing what he was doing. With that thought discouraging him, Night kept to himself more often, and became socially awkward and soft-spoken whenever he was around other individuals. Unless someone really yearns to reach out to him, he will rarely take advantage of any social opportunities.

History

TBA

-originally a regular fox

-baby ginger cursed Night by eneveloping his mind in a nightmare, mutating his dna to become a ghost; caused him to gain his nightmarish powers

-baby ginger's nightmare left night's hands and forehead left in bruises and scars, which is why he wears bandages

-While Night underwent the cursed nightmare, his screaming had woken his parents, so they went to check on him

-His nightmare absorbed his parents, not killing them in the process, but trapping them in an alternate nightmarish dimension to forever wander through.

-After realizing what had happened to his parents, he grew scared of himself

Powers

Night was not born with any of his powers; however, he acquired them through the nightmare curse that Baby Ginger set on him. With having the form of a ghost, Night became affiliated with multiple ghostly powers. One of his powers is levitation. As a ghost, Night is able to drift from the ground and hover around. While having the capability to float around like a ghost, he lacks the power to go through physical objects; this may have to do with how Night is still technically alive.

Nightmare Affliction bears great similarities to the curse that Night suffered from. This attack allows him to set his foe to sleep and afflict them with a terrifying nightmare. Whatever happens in his foe's dream will harm his foe in real life. Unlike the curse Night suffered from, his Nightmare Affliction does not cause the dreamer to absorb any nearby individuals into their nightmare.

Apparitional Distortion allows Night to alter an inanimate object or a plant's physical form to appear more horrifically contorted, as though it came straight out of a nightmare. When Apparitional Distortion affects a plant, it kills the plant, giving it a withered appearance. This power does not affect animals.

Monochromic Contact is not exactly a power since it does not do anything beneficial nor does it harm anyone in any way. Night has a ghostly aura that causes an object's color to become monochromic. This only lasts for a short period of time. For example, if he were to remove his hoodie, it would gradually gain its polychromic colors back.

Weaknesses

Night has low self-esteem so it is nearly effortless for him to give up on a situation if something is not going as planned. With that, he also gets submerged in gloom, defeating his motivation.

Due to the fact that Night is extremely timid, he gets overwhelmed whenever he is around new individuals. He is not one that is willing to take a step outside of his comfort zone so he is easily intimidated.

Trivia

  • "Ince" is a Hungarian name that means "innocent." When Night changed his name after gaining his gray appearance and nightmarish powers, it represents how his innocence has been eliminated.
    • Additionally, Night's loss of innocence is also represented through his loss of physical color, thus showing the lack of happiness and color in his personality.
