Naril is the largest metro in the country of Naril (United Narite Republic). It is the capital of the Yekos Province and the country of Naril. The metropolitan is situated in the central southern Samil Archipelago region. Currently according to a recent census, the metro is home to about 99 million citizens with a possibility of reaching 100 million in the next 5 years. Naril is one of the largest and oldest metropolitans in Mobius. Naril is a hub for 60+ wards, cities, and villages.
Naril is home to the University of Naril (UNa), Yekos Institute of Technnology (YIT), Paltenue International Airport, T'ssani Airforce Base, Inatmass Naval Base, Hama Inc., Sound 7 co., General Purpose International (JEEPi), Touria co. Hasumt'ma Studios, and Yekos Bay located in the eastern area of Naril.
Etomology
As far back to date, the name Naril is believed to be a dual purpose name, (Na) meaning "Heaven" and (Ril) believed to be slang for "home". However it is still unclear of what language Naril derived from as both are of completely different languages. This also has many archeologists and reseachers speculationg about the metropolitan's earliest settlers. Unfortunately this meaning is now obsolete due to the shift of pronunciations and grammatic structures in it's native language.
History
Earliest Settlers
Roughly around c. 927, Naril was believed to be a safe haven for many Mobian races during the era of rising nations. Many artifacts from the ancient ruins of the original city of Naril evident different architectural styles, cultures, and slight signs of seperation. Dogs, cats, hedgehogs, echidnas, birds, wolves, and many more races of Mobians have been known to inhabit the city of Naril with many more races that come in the future. The center piece of the city plaza known as the Tower of Col is evident of integrated architectural styles from the different groups who established the city.
War of Year 9
In the fall of c.936, the many races of Naril had held battles against the each other for control over the entire city and enforce their form of government. During this period the city was divided into eight wards. The war had lasted an entire decade until the an act of peace was passed amongst the races to never go to war within the city and that they would be on a Pan Democratic government system.
The Invasion
Around c. 1004, an unknown country had invaded the shores of Naril. They had purposed that they were gods of another world and demanded all valuable items and precious metals. Under the guidence of Lou Sheng Ku, the Naril citizens had staged a revolt against the invaders.
Self Defense
The citizens of Naril had used all basic fighting skills and weapons to repel the invaders. They soon retreated to their ships and stationed them off shore. However, as a last resort, the naval ships had opened fire on the shore, parts of the city, and all who were insight. When all seemed clear, the commander (along with a few guards) had marched on the shore only to be ambused and killed by Ku and several other citizens. The ships had departed from the shores in complete disarray.
Aftermath
With almost a third of the population wiped out and a victory that was claimed by the skin of their teeth, Lou Sheng Ku had order the creation of a self defense and army force before his term was over. Kobo Lyn had supported in the creation of a military during the course of his short lived term.
Great Expansion of the 12th Century
In c. 1100, Dhan ut Vini had commissioned for the expansion of the City of Naril to become its own city/state. The almost over crowed city had horizontially and vertically expanded allowing more citizens to live within city grounds. They also expanded their exporation of the island they were situated on along with other islands in the area. Thus seaports and rural farming areas were created on off shore locations.
Alauous Earthquake/ Tsunami
Without any notice the Naril Trench had triggerd an estimated 6.0 magnitude earthquake in c. 1183. The earthquakes effects on Naril was devistating as the original city of Naril was flooded by a tsunami moments later. The tsunami had caused much damage to the city and the land around it with liquified soil, devistation to the infastructure of the city, and parts of the land spliting. Archeologist have speculated that the Tower of Col had shifted 9 feet west of its original foundation and had became structurally unstable. The city of Naril was abandond and many other villages around the area had been developed still with the original principals still in mind.
New Communities
With the destruction of Naril, the Mobian races had created many villages that situated around Naril. With this came an early form a segregation between races. Even though roads had connected them, they were only used for trade. Unless any form of business was being performed, it was highly frowned upon those who came for their own personal reasons. After decades of developement, the communities slowly merged togother and the segregation was put to an end.
Naril: Reborn
On a cool summer day of 1257, the representatives of several villages had come together to reform the council of Naril and followed the core values of its original purpose. A new mayor was elected to lead it in this direction, Iunka Satu of the Wolves. Naril was officially recreated in 1260.
Growth in Masses
During the period of the 1300s through the mid 1400s, the wards of Jin Rhina and Uiosae were rapidly developing in both population and economic stimulations. With most of the towns reconected into one settlement, economic liveliness was sky rocketing. The orignial City of Naril was put under a massive restoration act that would turn the city into a new political site for future city planning.
During the Two Century Conquest
Naril was a centralized military headquarters at the time. The city had recieved numerous attacks that have proved to be usless against the cities deffences. Despite the city being at war for almost a milineum, the citizens of the area were active participants in military operations.
Kene's Secret Passage
During a foggy evening of winter of 1507, without any noticed, the city was ambushed from under ground by a detachment of warriors under Gen. Kene's command. The city was ocupied for several weeks with little to no ressistance from the citizens or military personel. With the use of guerilla tactics, the citizens and soldiers were able to easily overrun Kene's position by using the series tunnel passages to ambush key officers. After Gen. Kene had abandond his post, all operations of the city were returned to normal, however the war was still in progress.
Post Conquest
Naril was made the capital of the now United Narite States and it also became the home of the Imperial Palace as part of its Constitutional Republican Monarchy government head. However the cities government was still considered mayor-counsil. Naril endured several centuries of prosperity as it began its rise into the global economy.
Industrialization
During the 19th century, Naril became an industrial powerhouse of the country and one of leaders in of industry in Mobius. With more than 6 million living in the metro area, the industrial strength was unlike any other of its time. Naril had contributed over 70% of its nations power and economy. As a result of many citizens participating in factory and railroad jobs, a death tole of half a million per year was accounted for 17% of Naril's initial death rate. By the end of the 1800s, the demand for industry gradually declined with newer and more inovative jobs had began to rise.
Growing Trends and Problems
As the metro area began to grow more dense, the councils of each devision began massive building projects to further expand the total coverage of land. Unfortunately the metro became limited in expansion space due to the other growing cities and reservation areas that boardered the metro. To help the towns around the metro become more prosperous and increase real estate matters, the council, under the mayor's aproval, had create an expansion act known as the"Naril Metropolis Act". The act allowed Naril to adopt any city, town, and reservation to be a sub division of Naril as a ward or region. In 1923, the Naril Metropolitan expanded as far as 50 miles in any general direction from the Yekos Bay area.
Centralized Commercial Capital
By the 1940s, many high-tech jobs and commercial high rises became a growing factor in Naril's economic credability. Many Headquarters of Naril native companies as well as localization, operations, and core offices have relocated to the metro area. With that came Naril's mass population rise that has steadily grew by the millions every decade with the economy also rising in large masses.
Earthquake/Flooding of '88
During the summer of '88, an earthquake with a magnitude that exceeded 8.0 had struck 4 miles outside of the Yekos Bay area. The devistation to the area caused by the earthquake was fairly mild compared to the flooding that followed after the series of after shocks that followed. Due to the geographic features of the area, tsunamis were not able to form as large as they had in the past. For a period of 3 weeks, the lower parts of Naril were flooded with almost 10 feet of water. After the flooding subsided, the area nearest to the bay recieved the heaviest form of devistation that had cripple them for several years, the initial repair cost was well over U3 billion ($1.74 billion).
Travis Crisis
The waterbound ward of Travis was put under the Solitude Act of 1996, due to the sudden rise of its crime rate. After the floodings of '88, the devistation and disaray of the ward allowed orgaized crime lords to rise. It was even revealed that the mayor of the ward was part of a organized gang. In responce to this the, metro council had completely blocked off and destroyed entry and exit points into the ward. Anarchy became an issue to those who want nothing to do with the crimes of Travis. When Mayor Hoin of Naril caught wind of the situation, he repealed the Solitude Act to prevent major corporations from relocating their factories and plants from the area. In addition he had used over U100 milion to rebuild all entry and exit points Travis. Even though the ward was once again reconected to the metropolitan, complete inspections of citizens, cargo, and vehicles are administrated upon entry and exit of the ward. This policy will be renued until the wars's crime rate drops 30%.
Environment
For the past 50 yeears, Naril has been in a constant struggle to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases. Multiple programs and regulations to help the overall air quality in the metropolitan. Councilmen and women have set a goal to reduce the metro's emissions by 30% by 2020.
Overall land and water pollution in the metro area today is considerably light compared to the 1800's era. Most citizens have grown a low tolerance to filth around them and my pick up loose trash. To help reduce ground pollution, "Mobian's Needs" community projects have been develope at the center of districts to tend to trash collection, bath housing, laundry cleanings, and even hazardous dumping.
Natural Disaster Issues
Due to the geographical features of the area, Naril is prone to having massive earthquakes, tidal waves, tsunamies, and rarely hurricane like weather.
The metroplitan is within miles of a large fault line outside of the Yekos Bay area. The fault line is know for its high magnitude earthquakes and high speed tsunami waves. The metro along with many other cities in Naril are prepared for many natural disasters that are likely to occur in the area. On several outer bound islands that belong to the metro have seismic detection units near the fault line that detect and predict seismic fluxuations, a warning signal is beamed to every device that has either LAN or internet connections when an earthquake is likely to occur.
Eventhough it has not been a problem for thousands of years, five dorment volcanoes of high power are located over 200 miles southwest of the metropolitan. The Safety Board has issued mandatory evacution and shelter procedures to be practice ever month for major organization, schools, and residential areas.

The age demographics of the metro area vary between census periods. About 37.9% are children under 18, 21.3% are between the ages of 18-24, 15.8% are between 25-44, 12.1% are between 45-64, 8.6% are between 65-84, 3.3% are between 85-99, 0.2% are 100 and above.
According to the data between genders 64.8% are female, 33.5% are male, and 1.7% have reported to be of an unclassified gender.
To date, roughly 76.6% of the residents of the metro area claim that they were born and raised in Naril. 23.4% claimed that they had moved to Naril. Of those who moved to the city about 51% of them were raised in Naril at young ages, 34.7% claimed they have lived in the city for more than 5 years, 7% of them were less than a year. Roughly 7.1% state that they move in and out of the metro area frequently.
The amount of children in households has made a major change compared to the 2000 census period. In the domestic household nearly 35.1% of them report to having 1-2 children, 13.6% have 3-4, 20.3% have 5-6, 11.8% have 7-8, 9.2% have 9-10, and less than 5% of them have more than 10 children. Only 5.021% of the households have no children.
At the current decline of population growth, it is estimated that the metropolitan will reach 100+ million citizens in 2020. The city will be considered dangerously over populated in the course of 15 years if the population increase is at the same rate.

Naril is essentialy located in the center of Naril's trading paths, privately owned businesses, and government institution of high-technology. Institutions contribute to a majority of the population by its international employers and subsiditary businesses throught the metropolitan. Other means of the metropolitan's economy include, Yekos Bayside Harbor, Port Songo, General Purpose International, T'ssani and Inatmass Military Bases, and even Hama co.
The Central Naril Stock Exchange is the largest stock market in the country. Naril is also has the largest know metropolitan econmy on Mobious. Naril holds a large number of investment firms, banks, and commercial share holdings. Becaus of the number of headquarters that are located throughout the metropolitan, Naril has became the new commercial capital of the country.
Asside from the big corporations that are home to Naril, local and small businesses are the number one source of the metropolitan's economy. In many wards and villages, small businesses are highly emphasised for their attention to detail and possibly tourists attractions. Acording to the Department of Finance and Public Relations, Frea's Goodies Franchise is the most popular city franchis among its compeditors. It also was ranked 29th financially powerful business in the Naril Metropolitan Area (in terms of yearly income).
The Metropolitan's main source of economic liveliness varies throughout the many known establishments in the area.
Arts and Culture
Naril has many museums. The Naril National Museum is the largest museum specializing in traditional Narite art along with the Old Naril Art Museum and Naril Cultural Art Center. In T'ssani Air Force Base, the National Narite Aviation and National Areospace Technology Museums are near the fight lines of the runways. Other museums include Naril Naval Shipyard and Museum, Narite Diet Museum, Naril: Lost City Tour Site, and The Naril Metro Archives. The Naval ships: Kirtland Destroyer, Yanoshi Aircraft Carrier, Herald Battleship, and the Tokku Class Gunship are all museums that are docked northeast of the Yekos Bay.
Naril is home to many performing arts theaters including the national private and public performances by United Narite Acting and Dance Studios (UNADS). This includes the Silent Acts, One-Man, Modern Drama, and Operas. Pop, rock, dance, metal, and jazz, performances vary by broad venues. Symphony orchestras and other music organizations perform modern and traditional music
Internationally, Naril is known for its many festilvals that occur. Major events include the Wine Festival, Black Out Festival, Pride Parade, and Veterans Parade. The largest parade is the Narite's Cycle, a parade wear every local organiztion march around the original trade streets of Naril, it attracts millions of viewers. On July 7th the metro area celebrates the cities birthday, at the near end of the day, a large fireworks, waterjet, and laser display is showed on the outset islands of the Yekos Bay. In Kel's Square on all full moons (with the exception of the blood moons) Canideas and Felideas alike celebrate the Night Walk Festival all hours of the night.
Sports
Naril puts a heavy emphasis on sports varying from all possible ages that are able to compete. Futbol (Soccer), baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, track and field, gymnastics, and Som Nu (Ring Fighting) are primary sports that are played in all of Naril (country). The Naril Metropolitan area has inducted ninja course and freeball as official sports since 1983.
Buses in Naril are occasionally colored and detailed during specific sporting events.
Many wards, villages, and cities throughout the metro are known for hosting old native sports as a tourist event. The Boji and Summosu Regions hosts many of the original Narite inhabitant sports that are not really recognized. The Narite Games is primarly the largest sporting event that is held in the country, however it is still considered minor compared to FIFA and the Mobian Olympic Games.
