Nack the Weasel was born into a poor family, and as such, they had little to no money to support themselves. As a result, they often had to steal in order to survive, ranging from food, money, and whatever else. Somewhere along the way, Nack found himself addicted to the rush, and eventually became a notorious criminal.
This short, ten-part comic series is notable for being the only one where neither Nack (or Bean) made an appearance, but he was given a brief mention by Knuckles in Part 10. Nack was one of two individuals on Knuckles' suspects list (with Rouge being the other) as to who could have been responsible for the Master Emerald's disappearance.
Although he wasn't present in the previous series, Nack did appear in this one, and played a significant role in the storyline. He was first seen in Part 4, making a business deal with Dr. Robotnik, who was looking to get his hands on the Master Emerald in order to complete the "White Echidna Project" that he, Heavy, and Bomb were working on at the time. Robotnik told Nack that if he manages to bring all of the Master Emerald shards to him, then he will award him with one million dollars in cash. Never one to turn down work that pays, Nack willingly accepted the offer, and did just that.
Throughout most of the story, he followed Knuckles (unnoticed), as he continued to collect Master Emerald pieces. Even though Knuckles wasn't aware of his presence at the time, he did, however, have a brief rendezvous with Mighty the Armadillo and Amy Rose, who knew that he was up to something and were determined to stop him. After a humiliating defeat (by Amy), Nack retreated.
Later on, after Knuckles was finished collecting a majority of the Master Emerald's pieces, Nack stole them the minute the former left the altar. A few chapters later, while Knuckles and Vector were in the middle of a battle (due to a disagreement they were currently having), Nack got Bean to knock the two out with smoke bombs, and decided to do the same to Charmy, Espio, and Rouge, effectively claiming the final pieces of the Master Emerald. Unfortunately for them, however, Robotnik backed out of their deal and double-crossed him. Rather than paying him money like he promised, he instead had the crafty weasel lured into a trap.
He was seen again many chapters later, trapped within an electronic cage in an underground section of Robotnik's base. Mighty, Espio, Charmy, and Vector came across him while they were looking for the machine that was generating a barrier around the Master Emerald during Knuckles' battle with Wechnia. After a brief conversation, Nack asked the Chaotix to help him, but unfortunately for him, his words fell on deaf ears.
However, he did make one last appearance during the ending, where he showed up at the shrine of the Master Emerald. While there, he revealed that Bean used one of his bombs to destroy the electronic cage. Just as Knuckles was about to get revenge on Nack for what he and Bean did to him and the others earlier, Wechnia insisted that he takes them on, and decided to do it for him. Defeated once again, Nack retreated, and swore revenge.
Still angry with Dr. Robotnik for double-crossing him in the previous story, Nack and Bean decided to show up to his base in order to get their revenge. Before they had the chance to do anything, however, the doctor tricked Nack into making another deal with him, claiming that if he captures Wechnia for him, then he will award him extra in addition to the money he already owes him. Much to Bean's annoyance, Nack foolishly accepted this deal, only for history to repeat itself once more.
After he was freed this time, Nack, along with Bean, formed a temporary truce with Knuckles, the Chaotix, and company, and decided to take part in foiling Robotnik's plans as an act of revenge for setting them up again.
During this brief, last-minute appearance, Nack and Bean showed up at the altar while Knuckles was away, in order to steal the Master Emerald once again, and sell it for profit at the jewelry market. Unfortunately for them, an electro-magnetic barrier was placed around it, promptly shocking Nack the moment he tried putting his hands on it. Also, Knuckles, the Chaotix, and company arrived on the scene just in time before they had a chance to try disabling the security system. Once again, the two of them found themselves defeated, and ended up getting sent flying over the horizon.
Nack, along with Bean, first appeared in the third part of this story while Dr. Robotnik and Scorch were in the process of searching for the Water Element Gem. The two of them (who were apparently hiding in the Egg Carrier III the entire time Robotnik, Orbot, and Cubot were at the volcano) ambushed the doctor, with Nack holding him at gunpoint, demanding that he gives them the money that he still owed the two crooks for their services during the events of The Emerald Hunt and Robotnik Strikes Back. Although it seemed as if Robotnik was getting ready to give into their demands, he and Scorch ended up luring Nack and Bean into a trap, causing them to fall out of the ship, and into the ocean.
Three chapters later, Nack and Bean followed the Chaotix at the Ice Cap Zone, in hopes of stealing the Ice Element Gem from the group, so they could sell it for a price. After swiping the gem, the two of them tried to make a getaway by stealing Bark's jet-propelled sled, but the heroes began to chase them down. Their getaway was soon interrupted by Scorch, who ended up sending Nack and Bean flying (after they angered her with jokes regarding her age).
Again, three chapters later, the two of them showed up at the shrine of the Master Emerald. Surprisingly, it wasn't to steal the Master Emerald this time; it was to form another temporary alliance with the Chaotix and company, so they could come with them during their trip to Robotnik's base to get even with the doctor for double-crossing them. After scouring the base, Nack and Bean eventually came across wads of cash, which they decided to take with them.
Sometime later, at the Death Egg III, Nack and Bean took part in the "final" battle against "Robotnik" (who turned out to be Dr. Nega in disguise). After he was defeated, Nack was getting ready to finish him off, but he ended up running out of bullets. As the heroes chased Metal Sonic Version 3.0 to the Mystic Ruins base (after he escaped with Dr. Nega and the Master Emerald), Nack and Bean decided that this was no longer their concern, since they already got the money that they were after, and they weren't getting anything else in return for helping the heroes. So, they decided to leave, and weren't seen again for the rest of the story, until the next episode.
