Mechhog (also known as Metal Sonic V.1) was a robot created by Eggman Enterprises as a perfect counter to Sonic the Hedgehog. He is the secondary antagonist of Sonic 2 (Derecho) and Sonic 2 (Tempest).
Bio
After successfully capturing data on his arch-nemesis Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman began work on the perfect badnik: Mechhog. Mechhog featured a sleek dark red paint and 3 rows of sharp spikes. He had every skill Sonic did: supersonic speed, spindash, spinball, and everythingn else Sonic was capable of except for going super. After his destruction, he was replaced by Buzzsaw, as featured in Sonic 3: The Story of Knuckles on the Cyclone Derecho.
Sonic 2
In Sonic 2 and Sonic 2 (Tempest), Mechhog and Sonic met in Transit Zone, deployed by Eggman to destroy Sonic and Tails and take the 6 emeralds in their possession so he could use all 7 to power his Ion Cannon. However, Sonic destroyed Mechhog and prevented the use of the Ion Cannon by taking the emerald from Eggman, turning super, and destroying Eggman.
Personality
Mechhog is cold and lifeless, and follows orders given to him by Dr. Eggman.
