Over time, Mac has had his fair share of transformations in the Mystic series, and this is a compilation of them, including one-time transformations and incredibly rare fusions. However, be wary while reading - this list will contain spoilers for future roleplays and events in the Lamak Zone continuity, so if you want to be surprised, you should turn back. If not, then we shall begin!
Burning Blood[]
This was the only transformation Mac used in his younger days, when he was still training with Master Aorki, Amelia, Jamal and Buster. This could be seen as a more... physical prototype version of TAI, as it was less connected to the spiritual realm and more about aiding speed and power. However, this was always a risky transformation to use - with each hit, Mac would be doing some damage to himself, and though it got stronger the longer it was sued, it would also hurt more and more if utilized continuously. It has the advantage of being fairly simple to learn, but can be a very painful experience as a repercussion. It hurts less with practice, however.
This turned out to be a very useful skill, due to the fact that it was one of the main reasons Mac wasn't killed against Leunga Briona the Fourth when attempting to retrieve Angel and how it saved him, along with his other teammates, against a horde of Black Arms. Nonetheless, Mac didn't keep using it once he found out about a different transformation, and by that time, he'd pretty much forgotten it. He still aimed to teach Scarlet how to use it, however, though her use of it was limited due to other events affecting it.
When using the form, Mac's fur starts steaming, and maroon lines appear around his fur. His muscles also bulge a little, showing the physical strain of the technique.
TAI[]
Normal[]
After Mac was beaten and almost killed by Luna and Scarlet wasn't much help, he wanted to get some training done. Though he wanted it to be mostly for her benefit, it ended up helping him, too, in an enormous way. During the training, Mac experimented with his ergokinesis and found a transformation, naming it TAI (Tranquil Awesomeness Incarnate). Mac got a moderately large power boost with this ability, but he got cocky, not really using it in actual combat, which would come back to bite him in the butt. He first used it in an actual battle against Konton, and due to it being unmastered, he was prone to stamina losses and gains at random moments. As Mac practiced more with the form, he got better with it, and nowadays he can utilize it without the drawbacks.
When Mac transforms, his hair turns a slightly-light blue, and his fur turns cyan. Most of his clothes turn white, and his attacks change color from blue to yellow. With the mastered state of TAI, Mac's energy flow is stable, and it gives him a general power-up. He uses his body as an outlet for spiritual energy, and that means that depending on how strong his spirit is, the form's power increases. However, when on the verge of death or defeat, this form can take a very interesting turn...
Edge of Spirit[]
When Mac has nearly been defeated, then TAI gets a power boost. This variation is more rare, since Mac usually doesn't hesitate to take TAI out, but when he's been beat down and he takes it out... his enemy should be worried. In this state, Mac's fur turns a more navy-ish color, and his aura shines even brighter. With this, it is simply an all-around power increase, and if used, he might even have more power than he did when he started the match. However, this form requires Mac to be taking a huge risk, and even if he does transform into the state, his stamina burns out quickly, which means he'll have to end the fight soon.
(Note: This doesn't apply if Mac is in the form while being beat down.)
Aphotic[]
In A Cimmerian Search, Mac, Scarlet, and Sephtis were looking for the Aphotic Orb. Though it was definitely a struggle, Mac eventually got the Orb, and it gave him a considerable boost when stacked on TAI. When he transformed, his shirt and pants turned black (save for the blue parts), and his eyes were completely white. He gained the power of umbrakinesis (or darkness/shadow manipulation), and along with his electrokinesis and ergokinesis, he gained a large arsenal of abilities, one of them being shadow manipulation. Though he didn't keep the transformation for long, it was pretty useful. In this transformation, his physical stats were slightly altered; his power grew considerably, but his defense took a hit. However, he wouldn't experiment with it for long.
