Lightning the Porcupine is a fictional character made by Heroic412229. He is an anthropomorphic porcupine born on South Island and Sonic's old best friend from South Island before Sonic meet Tails. After he figure out that Sonic got Tails as his new best friend, he became jealous and decided to get rid of Tails. When he heard Eggman destroying South Island again, he had a change of heart and decided to help Sonic and Tails defeat him. He has the power of electro-kinesis, which allows him to manipulate electricity or anything electricity-related.
Lightning has a usually down-to-earth and no-nonsense attitude with a love for adventure and his home. He can at times be cocky and brash when it comes to defeating Eggman. He may have a jealous streak but tries to hide it. Despite that, he has a good heart and is willing to help his home and his friends when needed.
Appearance[]
Lightning is an anthromorphic porcupine with orangish brown fur that covers most of his body, peach skin that covers his torso and muzzle, and light-blue eyes. He has multiple quills on his head, two straight spines on his back and a short tail.
His attire is a pair of yellow googles with light-blue lenses, brown sneakers with white cuffs and two small white straps on each shoe, and blue gloves with green cuffs.
Personality[]
Lightning is usually down-to-earth, levelheaded and stoic to a fault. He is somewhat the opposite of Sonic's personality in general. Despite his opposing traits to Sonic, he does show some form of adventure loving and free-spiritedness. He is very fiercely loyal to his homeland, South Island and his friends and will do anything he can to protect them from any threat. Lightning possesses somewhat of a jealousy streak. Despite his flaws, he is altruistic and willing to trust any that have the same goals as him.

Lightning main power is his electrokinesis, which is the ability to control electricity or anything related to electricity

While not as fast and agile as Sonic or as strong as Knuckles, He can still move very fast and is very strong and nimble as well

He is a skilled pilot, though not as skilled as Tails.
Weaknesses[]
- If he is exposed to water or fire, he will temporarily lose his powers
- His jealousy and temper can sometimes get the best of him
- If he uses too much energy, he will be exhausted
- His powers require focus and concentration in order to work
