Despite having a role most people would never expect of a butterfly; Kurt looks fairly typical of his Mobian subspecies. Fairly tall with burgundy skin and piercing orange eyes, the most notable facet of Kurt's physical appearance is his wings. With a maximum wingspan slightly larger than his armspan, at least while his wings are fully extended, they are patterned in three colors; a mixture or black, burgundy and a dark Indian red mixed in a faintly hypnotic spiral pattern.

Typically, Kurt dresses comfortably with a gray-colored leather jacket modified to allow his wings to protrude from the back, while the rest of his clothing fits his personal taste of blending into the background with black gloves, black denim jeans, and a pair of boots patterned in Indian red and black.

Kurt's armor is of a make that most military analysts cannot identify; indicating that it may likely be a homebrew hodgepodge design streamlined to a professional standard by technicians working for the Scarlet Assassins. Standing somewhere between standard infantry power armor and a larger battle suit, Kurt's armor is painted in the standard scarlet paint scheme of his faction, with the Scarlet Assassin emblem presented boldly on the chestplate and forearms, while orange markings run along the upper arms, shoulders and leg plates to signal that his role is a heavy enforcer.

A key note is that his armor disguises his species incredibly well, with his wings safely enclosed within. This also helps to bulk out the suit and help fit that heavy appearance. Analysts have highlighted a number of atypical features of this suit, with theories as to what their purposes are. Despite his suit disguising his race, it bears a translucent visor displaying his face openly, a pair of wing-shaped thrust packs, and a prehensile whip-like tail construction.

As expected of a butterfly; Kurt is fully capable and confident with the ability of flight. Out-of-armor, he is often regarded as having almost silent flight due to his lack of feathered wings, and the motion of his wings is often described as dazzling or intriguing to witness. Indeed, this ties into his aptitude in psychic skills, as Kurt is a master hypnotist capable of catching minds with a simple gaze, and this disorienting spirals produced by his wings in motion is an assistance to that.

In addition to his hypnotic might, Kurt is also fully capable of creating and launching psionic force bolts like telekinetic arrows to knock things around and potentially damage targets, a skill he utilizes both in and out of armor if forced to fight.

Despite the cumbersome appearance of his armor, Kurt is highly proficient in moving in the suit, with the physical enhancements being a great benefit to him. His suit provides enhanced strength and mildly enhanced reflexes, though offset by a fairly slow speed at walking. Due to this, in-armor he is primarily used as a damage soak in the case of an assassination mission gone south. The low ground mobility is offset by the large wing-shaped thrusters mounted into the back of the suit, allowing Kurt short-term flight at high speeds before needing to recharge; rather than refuel.

The armament of Kurt's combat suit is often a matter of confusion. Unlike most powered armored soldiers, Kurt only wields a single Hammerforge Industries K-10 Pistol; a revolver-like weapon optimized for stealth. While he wears it in his day-to-day life, his use of the firearm in the heavy suit is questionable. It is believed that the tail-like structure mounted to his armor is a form of short-ranged whip-structure, similar to the combat styles of many rats and foxes, but there is limited data to support that.

An expert shot with smallarms, Kurt and his suit are a noted and respected force among the Scarlet Assassins, and a threat profiled by those they threaten. It is believed that his suit is impervious to most anti-infantry firearms, however it is likely that anti-armor weapons and attacks based in Magnetic forces are going to be effective against them. Similarly, while his psionic attacks are useful, robotic forces are immune to his hypnotic sway.
