Knuckles the Echidna is the Guardian of the Master Emerald who resided in Angel Island. When Metal Sonic stole the Master Emerald from Knuckles, he's on the hunt for gaining the Master Emerald back, and mistook Sonic for Metal Sonic. He is a minor antagonist turned major protagonist in Blue Blur: Curse of Mobius, and is a recurring major protagonist in the entire Blue Blur saga.
Appearance
His appearance is a bit of a mixture with a lot of different continuities, alongside his own original features. He has the buffed body from Sonic Boom, the tough and low-tempered but dense and easily-maniuplated personality from the games, and the cowboy hat from the Sonic OVA film. Originality-wise, he has fingered boxing gloves with spiked brass knuckles attached to it, rather than the usual big mittens.
