Karin the Penguin is a female little penguin with the power of cryokinesis.
Karin is a female little penguin with blue feathers and a white underbelly. She has an orange beak and large round silver colored eyes. Karin has feathers on top of her head that function like hair; these feathers are colored navy blue. Strangely enough for a penguin, Karin has a skinny build. She has an average height. For attire, she wears a navy blue poncho, a white undershirt underneath and light blue jeans. She wears red sneakers and white "mittens" (designed for her flippers) with cyan bracelets.
Karin is a quirky and cheerful bird who is very strange. People often describe her as a fun person, though they also describe her as being "weird". She is very excitable and is almost never seen in a bad mood. Karin is very optimistic and idealistic, and often acts irrationally. She is also very energetic and confident in herself. Many people see her as annoying, understandably, but Karin doesn't let this get to her. She may seem airheaded, but Karin has average intelligence; she just thinks differently than most other people.
Karin was born in New Zealand 20 years ago to a penguin couple. Because of financial struggles, they put Karin up for adoption. Karin was then adopted by a coyote couple in the United States at the age of 5, who were unable to have any children of their own. Karin lived a normal and happy life with her adoptive parents, though she was occasionally bullied at school for her odd behavior. When she turned 10 years old, Karin discovered her cryokinesis powers. With a few years of practice, she handled them well, though she mainly used her powers for fun. She got good grades in high school and graduated fairly early on. She then started attending her local college.
Karin is a cryokinetic, meaning she has the power to control and form ice, as long as she has water. (TBC)
She is able to slide on her stomach, like most penguins. (TBC)
Like many members of her species, Karin is an excellent swimmer. (TBC)
She is vulnerable towards fire, being a cryokinetic. (TBC)
Friends and Allies
Rain the Sifaka
- If Karin had a voice actress, she would be voiced by Kristen Wiig, who voiced Lola Bunny in The Looney Tunes Show.
- Her species is the little penguin, which is the smallest species of penguin. Little penguins can be found in New Zealand, hence her birthplace.
- She is a Libra.
- Her rivalry with Rain the Sifaka is a somewhat subtle reference to the animated TV series The Penguins of Madagascar, where the titular penguins are often at odds with the lemurs in the zoo they live in.
