Kairn the Coyote is a relatively minor character in the fanfic series The Legend of Fox the Brave. He is an anthropomorphic coyote who was thrown out of his Pack following a major battle that left him scarred and traumatized.
Kairn is an anthropomorphic coyote, with a nasty scar on his snout. Currently he only wears a black t-shirt much like Fox's
Kairn is a bit mysterious and secretive but is loyal to the end and overall a great friend. He is also stern and stubborn, and wishes to rise above the stereotype given to coyotes.
Strengths and Powers
Kairn has no special abilities of his own, but is smart and stealthy on missions.
Kairn was initially going to be a warrior of a Pack of Coyotes, which was part of the Tribes that roamed Mobius since ancient times, but due to a stupid belief held by the superstitious Pack, Kairn was believed to be a "Hero" to his Pack and was sent out to fight a dangerous enemy before even reaching apprenticeship, and was terribly scarred and traumatized. Believing that Kairn "failed" his Pack, the thick-headed leader banished Kairn and his family, and the coyote pup was cast out to be by himself. He later met up with fellow cast-off Neal-a mountain lion-and later met Fox the Brave, his family, and his good friend E.J. While Fox, Karra, and their cubs Braveheart and Midnight lived in the forest, Neal, Kairn, and E.J. made what would become the Storming Base, so the family could have a safe home. Later on, when Kairn went to investigate a disturbance in the Lamarkie Forest, he was killed by Sonic.EXE, and Fox was badly wounded.

Kairn was so far the second side character who belonged to a Tribe to get his own story before the idea was cancelled, the first being a red fox named Rush. Shane the Wolf received his own story, Shane's Promise, but it has never been revealed or mentioned whether or not he belonged to the Wolf Tribe.
