Inferno is an advanced element of Fire. Inferno is widely considered the "successor" and "pure" advancement of Fire. This is due to the fact that it only requires a high-level of Fire mastery, a talent for the element, and the drive to fuel this element.

Description

In terms of raw power, Inferno is leagues above the Fire element, to the point where even a basic Inferno attack can overwhelm a Fire Blast, Overheat, and even cancel out Blast Burn. A user of this element must be very in-touch with their emotions and equally driven, as it is these elements and this drive that acts as the accelerants for the flames. The result of these accelerants is immediately noticeable; the flames become intense and concentrated like the flames of a jet, in addition to becoming pure white flames. These flames are far harder than those of basic Fire, with far greater speed, force, and concentration, making the attacks seem actually solid. Inferno is capable of releasing an incredible amount of heat, to the point that Water techniques are outright evaporated against Inferno; in defense this can only weaken Inferno, while in defense Inferno can actually block Water attacks. Even Earth has trouble handling it, the raw incendiary power breaking down and melting the materials over time. Nature and Ice have likewise gone from having a weakness to being completely useless against the sheer power of the Inferno element.

However, Inferno is a double-edged sword, just like its original form. Inferno carries Fire's overall lack of defensive moves, and energy inefficiency. However, this weakness is much more noticeable in the Inferno element, to the point that one without master-level control and a reasonably high level of stamina, the Inferno element would only be capable of being used in short bursts. Otherwise, the user would be left utterly fatigued and incapable of continuing to fight. The Inferno element's intensity and power also makes it much harder to control. This makes it overall far less flexible and much more direct.

Notable Interactions with Other Elements

Blue = no contest (victor)
Green = typically strong match-up
Yellow = typically even match-up
Red = typically poor match-up
Purple = no contest (loser)
All scenarios assume that the involved combatants are 'normal' (I.E not deities or unusual cases in general)

  • Nature - The Nature Element simply stands no chance against even the weakest of Inferno-wielders.
  • Ice - While normally an Ice wielder could stand up to a Fire wielder given favorable circumstances, the Inferno Element is simply too powerful for even a master-level Ice wielder to handle.
  • Fire - Simple techniques of the Inferno Element outclass even the strongest known Fire techniques, making a fight between a Fire wielder and an Inferno wielder painfully one-sided in favor of the Inferno wielder.
  • Metal - The Metal Element's unfortunate weakness of being a great conductor of heat sees it being rendered nigh useless against the Inferno Element, as the sheer incendiary power melts through metal with ease.
