Herakles Smith is a young pyrochidna artist living in Dry Lagoon, where despite his youth; his works are already starting to attract attention.

While many hear the name Herakles and expect a brutish echidna with muscles atop his muscles, the sight of the slightly built clay-splattered brown echidna is one that often catches people off-guard. With dark tan fur over most of his body; barring his sandy tan skin; Herakles has the traditional echidna dreadlocks with a body that seems almost deflated in comparison to his musclebound relatives. Atop his head, there is a rather messy tuft of white hair.
Often deep in thought, Herakles has deep blue eyes that seem to arguably go on forever.
In a manner like many Mobians, Herakles shuns wearing large amounts of clothes. Instead, he gets by day to day wearing a brown heatproof apron and brown leather boots; both normally stained with clumps of clay.
As a pyrochidna, Herakles is naturally attuned to the element of Fire; with that power serving as a second nature. However, Herakles is not a fighter by any stretch of the imagination, and instead prefers to utilize his natural affinity for utilitarian means. As a ceramics artist; Herakles fires his creations with his elemental power, rather than utilizing a kiln. Similarly; he tends to utilize these powers to assist in cooking and heating his home.
As a benefit of his genetic history; Herakles has inherited two genetic abilities; though he tends to utilize only one in his daily life. From his father's side, and his pyrochidna lineage; he possesses an ability known as Flaming Threads. With this, he is capable of manifesting ultra-thin strings of fire. While many warriors with this power tend to use it like a flail of almost impossible to see blades; Herakles actually utilizes it in his claywork and sculpting by utilizing the incredibly thin fire string as a hot wire, cutting and sealing clay simultaneously. His second genetic ability came from his mother's lineage, known as Healer's Gift. This power functions as a force magnifier for healing skills; resulting in roughly 50% greater efficiency when healing either themselves or others with techniques. As Herakles has never displayed any healing abilities; this ability is viewed as being something of a waste.
On a few occasions; Herakles has come under attack by bandits looking for money. On those instances, he has shown himself to keep a level head and improvise weapons from his immediate environment, even utilizing some of his clay pieces as throwing weapons to create shrapnel. Needless to say he does not enjoy combat or destroying his precious works.
