— Eagerly greeting a tired Lucky, Rock, and Crag, Vengeance of Night
The Heavy Magician is a character who appears in The Legend of Fox the Brave. It is a robot that debuted in Sonic Mania as the Hard-Boiled Heavy of Mirage Saloon Zone and the Boss of its Act 2. While genderless, it is referred to as female. She debuts in Vengeance of Night after the massive battle with Night, while the other Hard-Boiled Heavies will make their debut later. Despite being antagonistic, she loves to meet new "friends", and is so eager when she does, to the point of being incredibly obnoxious and constantly talking over them. She is destroyed in the final battle in the Eggman War, but is repaired afterward to have no loyalty to the Heavy King anymore.
The Heavy Magician retains its appearance from Sonic Mania and its DLC Sonic Mania Plus.
While not given much of a personality in the game, the Heavy Magician is described on the Sonic News Network Wikia as a rather mysterious, because of her persona as a magician. She is also eager to meet new friends, to the point of being extremely obnoxious when she does, annoying a tired Lucky Smith, Rock the Wolf, and Crag the Wolf when she meets them. She is also reluctant to fight Crag when she sees him in the Dire Wolf Pack when it is under attack.
In The Legend of Fox the Brave, the Heavy Magician's past is unknown.
In The Legend of Fox the Brave
Vengeance of Night: She mentions being sent out to find the Resistance by the Heavy King, having been searching through Mercia when she met Lucky, Rock, and Crag after their battle with Night. Later, in the Epilogue, she reports to the Heavy King, telling them where the Dire Wolf Pack is located after she follows Lucky and Rock to their camp when they leave her.
On the Homestead: In the Epilogue, she is seen greeting Crag after the other Heavies surround the Pack. She is reluctant to hurt Crag, but still chooses to fight for her King.
The Final Battle: She is not mentioned in the battle, but she is mentioned to be among the Hard Boiled Heavies ruined in the battle. Lucky mentions possibly fixing her up to have no more loyalty to the Heavy King, which is later done.
The powers the Heavy Magician were granted by the Phantom Ruby are somewhat similar to that of a Zoroark; she can use various illusions, and in the beginning of Mirage Saloon Zone Act 1(for Sonic, Tails, Mighty, and Ray), is shown to turn a Rattlekiller Badnik into the Uber Caterkiller Boss. Currently the only known illusions she makes are those of Fang the Sniper, Bean the Dynamite, and Bark the Polar Bear.
The Heavy King
Like the other Hard-Boiled Heavies, the Heavy Magician is loyal to the Heavy King, who is operating in Eggman's absence(similarly to Metal Sonic).
Despite being on opposite sides, the Heavy Magician believes the trio of warriors to be her friends, and is hesitant to hurt anyone they care about, though she will still act upon orders given to her by the Heavy King.
The Heavy Magician is the first Heavy referred to as female, and the only one truly friendly toward the Resistance(though this is because she believes Lucky, Rock, and Crag are her friends when they really aren't)
