The Gene Bomb,, also formatted gene-bomb, is an object that appears in the AngieYaz/RoseOfSharon reboot of the Sonic Underground tewlevision series, based on a similar device of the same name from the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. Rather than be a weapon used by the Xorda on Earth, these bombs are specifically designed to cause the evolution of an entire species (or groups of species) into Mobians, created by a man from an alternate Earth named Doctor Fox.

Upon impact, Gene Bombs evolve nearby lifeforms into bipedal versions of themselves.
History[]
Dr. Fox, having felt remorse after being apprehended by the Totally Spies and being sentenced to a term in WOOHP Prison, decided to only conduct the first part of his experiment. Having seen Sonic and a few others on a television in his cell, he got an idea. Heading back into his lab after release, he decided to create the Gene Bombs after collecting thousands of random animals and their young. Many Gene Bombs were used during the experiment, rapidly accelerating the evolution of the entire animal kingdom, blending their DNA with that of humans to form new Mobians. Having also constructed a large spaceship specifically for them, he bid them farewell and sent them to Mobius.
