Red the Fox, known by his alias Fox the Brave, is a tall, short-tempered, arrogant, stubborn, hot-headed, aggressive red fox. He is also proud, sometimes snide, and even a bit insecure.

Looks

Fox is a tall, anthropomorphic red fox with emerald green eyes. He has noticeably thick fur concentrated around his neck and shoulders, and he wears a black t-shirt, beige cargo shorts, and a brown leather jacket with a black "wrist-com" on his right wrist. He has a notch in his right ear and four scars on his right flank.

As Fire Fox, Fox's paws and ears become pure white, his fur is golden yellow, his eyes become red, and flames cover his paws, tail, and his neck and shoulders, like a lion's mane.

Personality

Initially, as Red, Fox was very friendly and sweet, but following his parents' deaths and his separation from his sister, as he grew up, he became very aggressive and eventually became very short-tempered, likely to snap at anyone. While he is caring toward his family, anyone else is likely to get the rough side of his tongue. Due to his tragic past, he is unable to let go of past hate, and is likely to bring up past grudges in order to settle them any way he can.

Strengths and Powers

Fox is capable of his own Super form, called Fire Fox.

On his own, Fox is described to be lean and with broad shoulders, but despite his apparent skinniness, he is actually very strong.

General Info

Fox is currently the leader of a group of Mobians called the Storm Fighters, and is allies with well-known people. As a result of his heroism-despite his terribly short temper-and a past he refuses to reveal, he is bitter enemies with Eggman, and takes every opportunity to mock the mad doctor.

History

Fox was originally made to replace another fan-character, named Domino, that the creator lost interest in. The creator eventually became more interested in Fox and began developing a backstory for him. Fox also is the protagonist of a fanfiction series on the site Quotev, called The Legend of Fox the Brave, which also provides some depth to other significant characters, and has even included characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics released in the US, as well as the creepypasta Sonic.EXE-who was given his own past in the series lore.

Fanfictions

For the most part, Fox is the titular main protagonist of the Quotev series The Legend of Fox the Brave, though there have been some side-stories that provide depth to other characters, such as Austin Smith or Fox's son Braveheart.

Other Appearances

Fox has a few pages dedicated to him and other incarnations of him over on, Fandom Crossover Wiki, also created by Burpy's dream.

Characters by the same creator

Family

---Braveheart: Braveheart is Fox's son and elder child. He became the protagonist of two different subarcs in the series-the Dark Mobius stories, Secrets of the Dark World and the Light Mobius stories Shadowed Future. In Secrets of the Dark World, Braveheart was shown to be horrifically maimed in an explosion, while in Shadowed Future, Braveheart is a father himself to Scrap and Petunia.

---Karra: Fox's beloved mate. She also appeared in Secrets of the Dark World and Shadowed Future. In both stories, she died in some way.

Friends

---E.J.: Eli Junior, E.J. for short, was designed to be the son of Sonic the Hedgehog, and bears a strong resemblance to Sonic's Modern design with a few differences. He also has his own Werehog transformation. E.J. was the first to meet Fox as a young cub following the death of Torch and Snow, Fox's parents.

Enemies

---Eggman: Some time after killing Torch and Snow, Eggman blackmailed Fox-Red at the time-into helping him, but during the Eclipse Cannon scare, Red stole a Chaos Emerald and fled with the heroes. Ever since then, Fox and Eggman have strongly hated each other, and have been bitter enemies.

---Shadow the Hedgehog: The first time Red tried to escape from Eggman, Shadow prevented this from happening, dragging him to Eggman. After that, Shadow again prevented Red from escaping when he kept trying, until Eggman threw him in prison. During the cub's imprisonment, Shadow mocked Red until he was released. After Red escaped and changed his named to Fox the Brave, he grew to strongly hate Shadow and cannot let go of his hatred.

Fun Facts

There are some concepts for the series that were scrapped, changed, forgotten, or completely removed:

  • First: Fox originally had two other children, Kevin and Rose, who were completely removed.
  • Second: Scrap and Petunia's initial debut was in Revenge of Sonic.EXE, as minor characters, but their true debut was made to happen in Shadowed Future.
  • Third: A Skylander made a one-time appearance in Revenge of Sonic.EXE, but was later replaced by Thunder the Tabby in Austin's Adventures
  • Fourth: The World Defense Team-WDT for short-were originally friends of the Storm Fighters, but never made an appearance outside The Return of Sonic.EXE, though Ringo the Raccoon, their latest recruit got a mention in Revenge of Enerjak.

Sonic.EXE and Dr. Finitevus are the only recurring villains in The Legend of Fox the Brave who are not original characters for the series. Sonic.EXE is the antagonist of a creepypasta and a fangame created for it while Finitevus is a villain from the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comics.
