~ Fital the Demon. |
Fital is a Demon of the Dimensional Hub, and owned by Hero of Team Dragoon.
History[]
Fital the Demon was born in a frankly uninteresting part of the Dimensional Hub. He spent a few years exploring it, creating a Glitchian along the way, who he became best friends with. He then decided to be like a common Demon and possessed a Sonic. From there, he took over a dimension and ruled it poorly until he decided that using his power against normal people just didn't feel right to him. He left the dimension, but took the body of Sonic with him.
From there, he went adventuring, stopping villains and helping heroes until he felt like he could actually start making friends. He went around a few dimensions, but no one would quite accept him for what he was until he met Team Dragoon, who after some initial confusion saw him as really cool after getting past the whole "demon possessing a Sonic" thing, and his past as suspicious, but certainly not something to hold against him on principle. The team and him had some fun together, doing mostly whatever interested Fital at the time, until Eggman got a read on the kind of energy Fital was outputting. He would then almost immediately build a machine that would extract Fital's power in a similar way to how normal Badniks are powered by critters and sometimes Wisps, as well as a machine that could capture something as speedy as Sonic.
Eggman would then attack Fital and Team Dragoon, quickly finding that Fital was not nearly as slippery as Sonic, having not been trained by a lifetime of fighting Eggman, rather just using the skills he could preform most easily. Of course though, Eggman discovered that the incredible energies that Fital outputted were mostly used by him for combat, and as such, holding him would be a issue. Eggman rectified this issue by having Metal Sonic sent with a sleep gas bomb, which it used to put Fital to sleep, before knocking away Team Dragoon. Eggman then went back to base with the captured Fital and reinforced the already tough Demon Energy Extractor with safeguards against energy attacks, tuned to Fital's frequency. He would then begin using the power to enhance his Badniks across the globe with higher speed, strength and better AI, as well as creating a special mech with a built-in Demon Energy Extractor for the inevitable counterattack by Sonic and Co
Because of the sudden spike in Badnik efficiency threatening the world, and Team Dragoon's report, the Restoration called in all the heroes they had contact with, and deployed them to Eggman's current base in Chun-Nan, with G-U-N sending Team Dark as well. (Team Dragoon would be sent around the world to head the defense of four different regions until the day was saved or G-U-N assistance arrived.)
Fital wouldn't see much of the battle, but when he woke up, he had already been placed in the Demon Energy Extractor of Eggman's special mech, the Egg Demon. He would try to fry the mech, but all that did was provide the mech with a surge of energy. Seeing the lack of any damage to the mech, Fital would give up and wait to be freed by Sonic and Co, which happened soon enough. Fital then met many of Sonic's friends and Sonic himself. Their reactions would vary from shock at another Sonic to annoyance that there's another Sonic, until he clarified that he was in fact not Sonic, but something else in the body of Sonic. One thing led to another, Shadow tried to kill him, but soon, everyone accepted he was a thing that existed and not a bad guy, even though most of them were wary of him, even Sonic, who was put off by the theft of another him's body.
Because of the lukewarm reception, Fital decided to return to the trek across dimensions, but not before giving Team Dragoon some Dimension Travel Suits, as they had expressed interest in dimensional exploration with the same freedom as Fital.
Multiple dimensional adventures and saved worlds later, and a couple of friends made too, Fital would return to Team Dragoon's dimension only to find his old friend, Eror with Team Dragoon. Seeing a golden opportunity, Fital would get both Team Dragoon and Eror to do things with him so he could have fun with both his friends. He noticed tension between his old friend and new friends, but tried to brush it off as the two not knowing each other, until Eror could no longer hold himself back and attacked Team Dragoon, fully expecting Fital to back him up as the one who technically created him. Instead of doing this, Fital created a barrier between the two groups and asked why exactly Eror had just done this out of the blue. As Eror tried to fabricate a explanation, Team Dragoon collectively explained that Eror had been fighting them for a bit now, and he just seemed to do it because he felt like it.
Fital, shocked by this revelation, asks Eror if it's true, and as Eror stumbles in his explanation and gets his excuses shot down by Team Dragoon, it becomes clear to Fital that his first, and for the vast majority of his life, only friend, had grown into a villian. As Fital tried to decide how to proceed with this new information, Eror tried to take a potshot at Alan, which forced Fital to defeat him. After Eror left, Fital respectfully requested to know why Team Dragoon hadn't led with the information on them and Eror being enemies, to which Team Dragoon explained that they couldn't find the right moment to say so, and they didn't want to halt his enthusiasm by just blurting it out, which hurt Fital a bit, feeling sad that Team Dragoon would put his happiness above their need for him to know the truth, especially because he was still seeking to repent for the years of illegitimate rule he inflicted upon the other dimension.
Fital would then return to saving other dimensions, though always taking the time to visit all his friends. He would even visit Eror, their friendship remaining, although strained. Eventually, after realizing the sheer scale of harm Eror was causing collectively, Fital would resolve to forgive himself after stopping Eror, the last piece of his former villainy, either through reformation or elimination. He continued to save people in other dimensions and make/visit friends, but would always keep a eye on Eror, and would constantly stop him and urge him to stop harming people, before repeating the process, almost like clockwork.
At a point between adventures, Fital would become embroiled in a multiversal event known as the Dimensional Merge, starting when the Merge Device merged both a number of dimensions and Dimensional Hubs. Noticing the change, Fital went to call on Team Dragoon, soon realizing Team Dragoon's dimension was at the center of the incident. After finding them, and a explanation from Eror, Fital would join Team Dragoon on the adventure to separate the dimensions again.
During a visit with one of his friends though, they would remind him there were two parts of his villainy still remaining, the other part being the body he possessed. To reconcile this, he would return to the dimension he once ruled and terrorized, and exited from his possessed Sonic in broad daylight before attempting to explain that it was actually him who was the dictator, and Sonic was a unwitting puppet, and he was very sorry for that. He had barely started his apology when the people pieced what had happened together, and tried to destroy him for the hardship he'd forced the people to endure. Seeing that he could never properly apologize to these people for what he'd done, he just left to leave their dimension in peace. Now down a body, he looked across the dimensions tirelessly for a Sonic that was a villain so he could simultaneously get another body and save a dimension. A few weeks of search later, interspersed by watching Eror, he found the perfect one, and took it quickly and efficiently, while leaving a notice for the dimension's residents to leave them in peace.
Of course, despite their good relations, Eror just refused to become good, and eventually concocted a plan with Eggman to construct a machine that could manipulate the dimensions through similar tech to the Dimension Travel Suits, focused by Eggman's personal dimensional tech. The two would construct a special warship for the Egg Fleet that could open interdimensional portals in vast numbers, and with the Egg Portalship, Eggman summoned copies of his army and personal machines and whatever else he thought would destroy that hedgehog and his friends once and for all. Fital would work with the forces of good to create a machine to counter the Egg Portalship called the Dimensional Device, a building that summoned as many heroes as the Egg Portalship could Badniks and other Eggman machines. From there, the heroes of the dimensions and Eggman's multidimensional army would engage in all-out war, both sides constantly calling on more support from other dimensions.
Knowing full well that Sonic with multidimensional support could probably outfight his army, Eggman prepared his ultimate plan, a intentional and precise fusion of multiple other dimensions in which he ruled to this one, to destroy G-U-N, the Restoration, and the Dimensional Device in one fell swoop. Because Eggman hates subtlety, he announces this proudly to the heroes, which prompts them to fight through his forces and invade the Egg Portalship. There, Fital and Eror finally meet. At the apex of his plan, Eggman orders Eror to delay the heroes long enough with support from his remaining multidimensional army. Finally forced to confront one another in what has to be their last fight, Fital and Eror both put up a barrier to keep their allies safely out of the fight, both wanting to finish this themselves. The two fought and fought, even as the heroes beat Eggman, until eventually, Fital won out. As Eror sat dying, Fital asked why he caused all this, to which Eror said because he could, and because he was fated to, and asked why Fital didn't do the same. Fital replied that didn't appeal to him, and Eror accepted his logic, before fading from existence for the final time.
With his conscience cleared, Fital decided to stop seeking out problems to solve, instead prioritizing the friends he already had. He would save people if he noticed them while exploring, but he sorted out his schedule by cutting down on heroism, if not stopping entirely. Though as the era of Team Dragoon waned and the Diamond Dragoons formed from it's talent, he found himself helping the Diamond Dragoons sort out a couple dimensional villains that had gained notice of their dimension in the wake of the Dimensional War.
In the middle of that era, however, Fital would be drawn into a conflict with the mighty Neo-Council, and alongside his friends, took a trial to call on the might of Kalied Energy, which transformed him into the first Kalied Demon. After that was finished, Fital would resume his old-new routine, which would last for many years, Fital outliving Sonic and all his friends(minus Silver technically).
Midway through the lives of Team Dragoon's descendants though, Fital would be effected by the first case of Dimensional Energy Corruption, slowly dying over one month until he turned to dust in a empty space of the Dimensional Hub, isolated from what friends still lived in the time period.
Personality[]
Fital, when he was a villain, was brutally efficient. Anyone that threatened him would be eliminated as quickly as possible, and he would push the people he lorded over to their absolute limit to improve "his" kingdom. After giving up that way of life, he developed into a friendly, if not always understanding person who would do anything to protect his friends and the innocent from villains, while being nearly unable to display actual anger unless someone was actually in danger of dying.
Appearance[]
Fital, while possessing Sonic, looks almost identical to Sonic, with the exception of his right eye having black sclera instead of the normal white, which he lets show to ease confusion.
His natural look was once one of a dark spirit, the natural form of Demons, but when he swapped which Sonic he was possessing, his natural look had reformed into one similar to Alan, but with Sonic's body shape.
Powers and Abilities[]
Fital, as a Demon, is filled to the brim with a unique energy he can form into attacks, which he uses readily against anyone who chooses to fight him. He can use this same energy to form other things too, such as the barrier from during his final fight with Eror. As well, as a Demon, he's also naturally capable of hovering and can access the Dimensional Hub, provided he has a second to charge up. He is also capable of using Sonic's many skills, as he has possessed one, though he has far less finesse, as he prefers to fight with his energy powers.
Transformations[]
Super Form[]
It’s what you expect. While in it, Fital’s powers are heavily amplified and his possessed body and true form take on a glowing gold color.
Dimensional Form[]

Dimensional Fital's design(Thx Antichronic)
When Fital managed to tap into the true power of the Quartz Kaleidoscope, he took this form. Fueled by the darker energies of the Kaleidoscope, his form is filled with far more destructive power than the rest, allowing him access to power strong enough to shatter a dimension. Aside from that, he also has the same powers as the other forms, bar the multiverse rebirthing power of Cyne, who was fueled by the positive energies.
While Fital's dimensional form has the same dimensional aspects as all the others, his aura glows darker, and he chose to add blue eyes, a power aura, ring accessories, golden gauntlets, and the classic gold color.
Starry Fital[]
Using the Jeweled Sceptre to upgrade his Dimensional Energy to Power of the Stars, Fital takes on this form. While in it, he holds all the same powers as his normal state, amplified many times. Alongside this, he holds the power to turn energies to matter, with all the states of matter included.
Through this power, Fital was able to create Anti-Purloin, a Light Gaia based energy being that uses light-aligned versions of Purloin’s powers.
Trivia[]
Fital's good nature is rare among Demons, due to a combination of their powers and their lack of any personal culture.
Fital doesn't have a perfect grasp on what is socially acceptable, due to Demons as a whole having no social standards, so he can sometimes say something offensive without understanding that it's offensive, or act in a way that's weird.
