Radio Stations in Sonic Adventure 5: Windy City Showdown

Like the two previous Sonic Adventure titles, the radio plays a large role in the open world.

Switching between radio stations is done by pressing the left and right buttons, which can also be done by pressing left and right on the D-Pad. On the PlayStation 4, the player can utilize the Touch Pad to change stations by swiping left or right.

Similar to the previous title, radio interference is heard when in tunnels or out in the middle of the forest, adding a sense of realism to the game's large map. The interference causes moderate static and automated sounds, but never shuts down the radio completely.

As part of a contest run by Sega, ten people were chosen to voice the ten individual DJs for each station, being able to make their own introductions and characters to voice. A separate contest once a week was run for each of the ten stations and at the end of each week the DJ was announced by Sega.
