Backstory[]
Ranger is a Hedgehog that is able to use magic because one of his parents was from a different Alternate Realm that was far from Mobius. At age 10, he was being hunted by many Tribes from the Alternate Realm for his magic. As a result, an elderly Wizard from the Alternate Realm gave Ranger a magic ring that transported him from the Alternate Realm to Mobius. Ranger was successfully transported to Mobius within a few minutes using the magic ring. He stayed hiding by himself in Mobius for nearly 2 years. At age 12, he was found by Sonic, Tails, and Silver. Ranger introduced himself to them, and the heroes kindly accepted Ranger. In the meanwhile, Eggman soon found out about Ranger's magic and wanted to capture him. At this point, Silver and Sonic told Ranger that he would have to learn to fend for himself. Sonic, Tails, Silver, and Ranger warded off hordes of Eggman's mechanical minions. From this point on, Ranger has loyally served Sonic and his friends.

Ranger's appearnances change depending on the world or realm he is in.
- In the Alternate Realm, Ranger has deep green fur with yellow eyes and shoes. He also wears a deep grey cloak and hat, similar to a Wizard's hat.
- On Mobius, Ranger has jade-green fur and neon green eyes and shoes.
Inspirations[]
- Ranger's appearance in the Alternate Realm and his personality is inspired by the character "Ralsei" from Toby Fox's DELTARUNE.
- The Alternate Realm could refer to "The Kingdom of Fantasy" from Elizabetta Dami's Geronimo Stilton franchise.
- The Wizard that helped Ranger could be a reference Mel the Magnificent, a character from Elizabetta Dami's Geronimo Stilton: Kingdom of Fantasy Series.
- The fact that Ranger changes his appearance in Mobius and the Alternate Realm is inspired by how Kris and Susie from Toby Fox's DELTARUNE can change their appearances in the Overworld and in the Dark Realm.
