The DLC for Sonic Adventure 5, Cosmo's Wicked Adventures, contains unique radio stations with new and old licensed music for the player to listen to while driving around in Boston and its surrounding areas. When the player is in a vehicle, be it in the open world or during a mission in the world, they may choose to listen to one of ten licensed music radio stations, with a D.J. hosting each station. When in a taxi, the player can ask the driver to switch the station, often accompanied by Cosmo's views on the station.
However, since the Sonic the Hedgehog series is targeted towards a younger audience, the songs will be censored. Words like “f**k,” “s**t,” “ni**a,” “bi**h,” references to illegal drugs and sexual content, and other vulgarities are censored, although mild ones like “d**n,” “h**l,” and “cr*p” may not. All of the songs, their introductions, commercials, and station identifications are shuffled, and the radio is very dynamic; D.J.s inform the player of the current weather and time, and also updates itself as the storyline progresses, sometimes reporting news about a character's actions.
