Appearance

Fatemaker is a relatively average sized wolf at 5'8". Wearing a prized hat which holds 4 cards, all of them aces of the 4 traditional suits. He wears a dusty longcoat which is colored black with gold and red accents down the sleeves. His undershirt is a gray button-up with a neatly folded collar, and he wears a black pair of dress pants.

Personality

Fatemaker is a rather dull individual if alone. He's quite dedicated to a battle, or a gamble, willing to do anything to win what he faces. He's graceful outside of battle and rather polite, in battle he is cold and will not hesitate to throw his cards at anyone unless he knows them to be an ally.

History

Fatemaker's history is mysterious, he doesn't like speaking of it often. All that he remembers is when he had gained his powers, while on a journey between continents he found an abandoned chamber. Having entered he decided to go through it. After reaching it's center, he found an orb of essence. The orb having caught his interest he decided to grab it, as soon as his hands touched it, a trap had set itself off. Fatemaker, unable to find the exit had resigned himself to his inevitable death. Before suddenly the essence orb had entered inside him and warped him right at the entrance of the chambers. Realizing his new powers he felt as if entering it was worth his effort. He felt strained after the warp and had halted his journey for a few days to recuperate.

Powers and Abilities

Fatemaker's powers in general are enhanced by the essence orb he had absorbed. His normal abilities are above average strength and accuracy. He has a specialty in fighting with a deck of magic cards. Which he can enhance with either a general power boost, red tendrils to hinder opponent's movement, or a blinding light leaving them stunned for a few seconds.

Skills

  • Three of a Kind: Fatemaker throws three cards straight at the foe in rapid succession.
  • Shuffled Deck: Fatemaker sets a circle of magic cards around himself to either use as a makeshift shield, fire off at his opponent one at a time, or circle above the opponent, giving them a brief window to hit him before he throws the cards at them all at once.
  • Fate of the Cards: Fatemaker sets an aura on his next card, giving it additional properties when thrown
    • Blue Strength: Fatemaker throws a card covered in a blue aura, in general a stronger attack.
    • Red Tendrils: Fatemaker throws a card enchanted with magic tendrils which wave at the thrown position to grab the opponent or otherwise hinder them in their radius.
    • Flash of Gold: Fatemaker throws a card with a blinding light aura, stunning his opponent for a few seconds, either to prepare another attack or warp away.
  • Escape Warp: Fatemaker gets a blue aura around his feet as 3 card-like shields surround him, after a moment he warps either to a different vantage point or away from the battle in a flash of light. The card shields are weak and are thus able to penetrate the barrier and interrupt his teleport.

Weaknesses

  • Magic Fatigue: Fatemaker's magic can be strong, but overuse of it could cause him to become tired within a fight. When he feels it is right to escape rather than fight, he will use his Escape Warp to evade any further conflict, upon escape he will pass out from the fatigue for 4 hours at the very least.
  • Attack Speed: Fatemaker's not a quick attacker, and easily can telegraph his attacks, which make them easy to tell for his opponent to either dodge or counterattack.
