The station's name and playlist are a tribute to the Ireland-formed Emerald String Quartet, based out of real life Boston. Indeed, the station's playlist contains nothing but music from the Emerald String Quartet's 2000 album Celtic Threads.

  • This is Cosmo's least favorite radio station at the beginning of the DLC. Over time however, depending on the player's choice, she may develop a liking for the music played on the station.
  • The "T" in "String" is made of a cross with a three-leaf clover in it, referencing both the Irish population and the large amount of Irish Catholics.
    • In addition, each of the three words are colored in the same scheme as the Irish flag.
  • Frank O'Sullivan, this station's DJ, returns as a DJ again in Shadow the Hedgehog 3 hosting The Calraig.
