Emerald String Radio plays traditional Irish and Celtic music, catering to the large Irish population present in Boston.
The station's name and playlist are a tribute to the Ireland-formed Emerald String Quartet, based out of real life Boston. Indeed, the station's playlist contains nothing but music from the Emerald String Quartet's 2000 album Celtic Threads.

- The dial numbers are the same as WBQT, a real life radio station based out of Dorchester in Boston. It primarily plays Top 40 hits, but on its HD2 format it plays Irish and Celtic music.
- This is the default radio station in all police stations.
- This is Cosmo's least favorite radio station at the beginning of the DLC. Over time however, depending on the player's choice, she may develop a liking for the music played on the station.
- The "T" in "String" is made of a cross with a three-leaf clover in it, referencing both the Irish population and the large amount of Irish Catholics.
