CaneTheVelociraptor, the author of Emerald Hill Zone (Sonic Rewind), considers this page to be unfinished. As such, some sections may change.

Emerald Hill Zone is the first Zone of Sonic Rewind. This Zone reimagines the original Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Mega Drive. It contains 2 Acts, like most Zones in the game.

Description

Emerald Hill Zone is much like in the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2, being an island paradise. Act 1 includes palm trees, a great view of the ocean. The foreground includes bridges.

Act 2 takes place closer to the ocean, making the Zone almost a water stage.

Badniks

Buzzer

Buzzer is a bee-like badnik that will fly around. When the player comes close, it will fire a projectile which harms the player. The projectile can be dodged with the Elemental Shields.

Coconuts

Coconuts is a monkey-like badnik that will climb trees throughout the stage. When the player gets close, it will start throwing coconuts at him, which cause damage on contact. In Act 2, some Coconuts will jump from trees and attack the player on the ground.

Masher

Masher is a fish-like badnik that will jump up below some bridges. In Act 2, some Mashers can be seen swimming in the pools of water, charging at the player once they get close.

Snail

Snail is a snail-like badnik that will slowly ride throughout the stage. When the player gets close, they will become faster, almost charging at the player.

Bosses

Act 1

The boss of the first act is the Drill Craft. It is a flying mech, similar to the Act 1 boss of Angel Island Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but it has a drill instead of a flamethrower. It will drill into the ground, causing earthquakes. That wouldn't be much of a problem if the battle wasn't underground, causing rocks to fall onto the player, which he needs to avoid. The Craft then drills from a random spot from the ground, and begins drilling again. It takes 6 hits to defeat the Drill Craft.

Act 2

The boss of the second act is Big Arms. This time, it's easier to battle. It has no more spikes on top of the machine, making the player able to hit the machine from the top. Big Arms will slowly fly around, if it catches the player in its hands, it will slam the player on the ground, dealing damage. It takes 8 hits to defeat Big Arms.
