Dynamo is named after a Dynamo, an electrical generator.

Dynamo's name translates to "Dynamis" in Greek, meaning "Power".

Dynamo was originally a parody of a Robot Master called "DynamoMan " From MegaMan and Bass.

Dynamo's weakness to sharp objects is a reference to ElecMan from the original MegaMan game, him being weak to the rolling cutter and the fact that sharp objects can cut electrical wires.

Dynamo's weakness to rocks is a reference to Pokemon, since electric based attacks are not very effective against rock type Pokemon.

Dynamo is very similar to the Street Fighter character "Blanka ", which he is good friends with.
