Dig Under is a earth-based technique. It is a variant of the technique Dig, designed for use against much larger targets.
Description[]
Using sharp claws, digging equipment, or geokinesis, the user quickly burrows down into the earth. While underground, the user is largely unnoticeable by the target, unless they are capable of detecting movements underground. Firstly, the user uses geokinesis or some form of magic to create a small pit under the ground, without it reaching the surface. The user then digs a number of short channels in a small area around the pit, either underneath or near the target. This is only just barely supported by the surrounding dirt, and remains there. The user then surfaces on the other side of the trap, provoking the target into moving towards them. As soon as the target places any weight on the weakened ground, they fall through the weakened ground into the pit, rendering them essentially immobile while the user can either escape or attack without fear of physical repercussions.
The user never directly damages the target. This is done by the fall. As such, the heavier the target that falls in, the greater the damage caused.
However, allies in the area over the weakened area can also set off the trap. While underground, the user is especially vulnerable to techniques such as Earthquake and Earth Power. The largest flaw with the variant is if the opponent can sense under the ground, which would allow them to sense what is occurring.

Technique Rank[]
Due to the techniques focus on being set as a trap, and it's ability to damage much larger, armored foes, grants the technique a B-rank.
